I loved your reaction and I absolutely agree with all your hot takes. I thought the lyrics were fun and playful. I think the main problem for most people was the line "Women are equations, men just do it." I guess people thought that women were being referred to as objects that men just do. Like men like to "do" women...idk 🤷. Idk how someone could interpret that from a simple line. All the line meant was that women can be hard to figure out like equations so men have to do/solve them(or at least that's what I think). Also, Jungkook's not even my bias but dang I have to agree that he looked so good in this mv lol 💜💜💜

thank you and exactly! i find it sad people find it difficult to read between the lines and just dismiss it as "misogynistic" or w.e. people just throw that word around like candy 💀 and omg yes jungkook looked so handsome here 🩵💜

For some reason WOH has been controversial out of nowhere recently. On TWT I saw this person talking about how two people bullied them for liking WOH on Discord? And I also saw a lot of discourse on it from a BTS reaction stream. So... fandom is suffering during enlistment I guess? But whatever, it's undeserved. I agree, their style in this era SOLD it was so good. I absolutely loved Taehyung's look and I remember it sticking out to me, but they're all so insanely good. Especially the comeback photos, those were SO GOOD???
Looking back at them right now actually... YOONGI LAYING DOWN IN THE GROCERY AISLE? These photos dude... It seems like Allkpop as them all. Jin is also really sticking out in these photos.
Anyways, I can't be mad with what came out of WOH's drama. BTS and especially Namjoon have taken it in such great stride and continue to do so, shows just how respectable they are, as they tend to do with their wrongs.

Tbh I don’t understand why people say it’s satire, and no, I don’t think it’s disrespectful either. Their concepts reflect their stages in life and as you said, this represents a normal stage in most guys life. And well they are guys, I don’t understand why they would be belittling the male experience by making it satire. I felt it balanced honesty with respect. They didn’t belittle females or act superior, if anything they were simping. Bts were also horny teens, just like they have watched corn and probably have had sec. Yes some parts were immature but it’s not that deep, embracing that stage and it’s role is good for guys to better understand themselves how to manage it respectfully.

tbh i think it's both. that's what makes it contradicting. it's boys being honest and hormonal while also making fun of the idea that they're having a "war" with their own conflicting emotions. hence the satire because the mv, the song, the whole act of it is exaggerated but it doesn't mean it's untrue either. that's how teens feel. like it's the end of the world if they get a pimple or they get rejected by someone they like, etc. it's "not that deep" but it's also a song full of honesty. that's just my take on it though.
*hopefully what i said made sense lol

I agree with most of this but in my opinion I don't think labeling it as satire belittles the male experience. But I do think that the song is mainly full of not only truth but also humor. I agree that the song reflects stages in life like the intense emotions hormones can cause. I think most of satire aspect probably comes from the mv and some of the lyrics. But in general, I think both the mv and lyrics use humor to show how boys can think/act as a result of their hormones. Which kinda explains how the song can be classified as satire since satire is quite literally using exaggerations/humor to bring up or talk about something but that's just my opinion :)
