The water is mixed with clay, the effect of tixotropy is used

@@fuximux Bentonite, not clay 🤦‍♂🤦‍♂Mixed with water, bentonite becomes a Newtonian fluid that supports the trench walls.

Water has a density of 1.0 kg per litre, concrete 2.4 kg and bentonite 2.0 kg. It gets filled in the ditch, to make sure, that the "clay walls" are not collapsing. When the ditch gets refilled with reinforcement-baskets and concrete, the concrete is heavier and the Bentonite gets pumped out to a filtration plant, to clean it and reuse it again.
