New World Wines | USA: California, Santa Barbara Valley and Sonome

The Sonoma Valley, considered part of the province of California, lies north of San Francisco, and parallel to the Napa Valley.
This region has a vineyard area roughly equivalent to that of Napa Valley, but has far fewer wineries.
North of Los Angeles, the Santa Barbara region, made up of a multitude of different microclimates, has a history of wine production dating back to the late 18th century. The region has recently become famous thanks to the cult film "Sideways".
