To me, such pieces evoke nostalgia and the lack of urgency to live life so quickly, which matches how I choose to live. The lower pitch shows me a version of the composition that fits my musical tastes better. Even if the piece strays from its intended purpose of bringing energy and excitement to a Sonic stage, it doesn't, at least to me, detract from the quality of the arrangement and composition.
