Back in the early 80's I bought a 77 Corvette that was identical with the same lighter blue exterior and white interior. It even had a deck lid luggage rack that I installed. Mine had originally been silver but painted blue. I damaged it in a crash and sold it with a big chunk missing from the left front fender. The price I sold it for was a bit less than the price of the auction vette. I now have a 79 L82 automatic in light blue with oyster interior I purchased 4/86. I prefer the 1953-1982 vettes made with fiberglass.
Owned a 77 for 33 years. Then 2012 Grand Sport. Now a 2007 Z06. Boom! 77 had a big problem w water leaking at both sides of the front windshield at the corner post. Part of the bird cage. Floor pans rot out.
not a bad deal...just needs a LOT of detailing, if it runs good. probably some overdue maintenance too. '77 is not my fav year...it was the year Corvette partially introduced the hard plastic interior trim that GM was so famous for, esp in the 80's...the '78 fully transitioned to that cheap plastic. I much prefer the '76 and earlier C3 interiors for their more upscale trim.
&& had a bunch of "One Year ONly" parts including the steering column, cruise control, center console, and center instrument cluster. No way in hell I woudl buy one at an auction without being able to verify the one year only parts are intact and functioning. Even if they are that's a 3K car at best.
Caveat Emptor, Hidden Fees and overpriced charges as well as Sabotaged Vehicles so they will not Start to dissuade bidders. also parts looted off vehicles I.E. ABS Brake Pumps and electronic Components and anything within reach of sticky fingered scumbags . Houston area Insurance Auction Companies are rampant with this kind of unethical Criminal Behavior.
@@Nobamaable I love showing people how to paint their cars, We start with 600 Grit sand paper then cover in epoxy primer then sand it all over again and use Ebay Two Stage Base coat clear coat kit in original cars color.
I have a 1977 L48 4-speed 350 in excellent shape and I wouldn't sell it for less than 20000 it's a beautiful car inside and out I think that was a still but I mean it's not an L48 and it's an automatic I think 4 Speed cars are worth more and L48 Federal car I'd like to buy a 2016 Z06 if if there's one out there respond on this
There is little negotiating anymore on Facebook. The prices of the C3s have gone up considerably. I realize Hagerty is for pristine cars, but a car like sold at this auction could easily go for $7,000 on Facebook anymore.
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they even want to slow down all the gas pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. "Bundesabgasbespaßungsverbot" in German. :-//
That is a bleak future. I can't see driving an electric car, no one will be able to afford them. The way the world is changing I'm kind of glad I am as old as I am so I won't have to be a part of the new world order very long. Until then I'll just keep cruising in my Vette's and try to avoid being thrown in jail for BundesabgasbespaBungsverbot!

China told most politicians that they wont do any business with underdeveloped countries that still allow CO2 emitting traffic, aircrafts or combustion based industry after 2030...I am sure USA and UK also will be forced by China to 100% electric traffic because today no industrialized country can afford sanctions by China.... China just rules the world...:-(/(((((

I think as these cars get older the good ones are going to skyrocket in price as they get harder and harder to find good ones.

The car needs some serious TLC. Price was not bad but think of the money that would need to go into it. A labor of love (....and money).
Frame, frame, frame.. Gotta check underneath before even considering to buy a C3. Otherwise nice parts car.
Frame was good. Car was inside most of its life, not a parts car. I part cars out all the time, I would have restored this one.

How do you find out about auctions? It hard to find good deals!!
