- A faux title sequence for Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn
Created by animating concept art from the video game Thief, Kait's Theme from Gears 5, and the desire to not fail my motion design class.
the only thing that would make this perfect would be the sound of a coin hitting the ground at the end but omg i love this so muchhhhh
yes
Perfect
Indeed
I'm throwing money at the screen, why doesn't this movie exist yet?
soon ;)
Because Brandon's still writing it C:
For the last time, stop steelpushing coins at your screen!
Oh my god please no. Mistborn as a movie doesn't work. As TV Serie or Animation Serie
it would be a masterpiece.
@@ChronoStrange Brandon has already stated that he always envisioned Mistborn like a heist movie, and is already working on the screenplay. He said that an animated series wouldn't draw in the same level of attention or public interest as a Hollywood blockbuster would. An anime/animated series series would be "just for the fans who already like the series," but a movie would draw in a newer crowd who has never heard of the Cosmere before.
You know it's not a real movie when you recognize the name of every single actor and the director. We can always wish though...
buen nombre, mejor persona.
It's a sign that you picked the right cast for the right characters when I could tell precisely who each actor was plauing
And who are?
Please share, as other than the first one and maybe the second I'm at a lost.
@@jolly5886 if barnyard cosmicthatch tries to play Kelsier we riot
@@MarkusAldawn Benedryl Cumberbund might be a good Dockson I think
Pretty sure Cumberbatch would be the Lord Ruler.. that would be pretty awesome I think, especially considering his performance as Kahn in Star Trek into Darkness. Also, Ewan McGregor would rock as Kelsier!
Why is this in my recommended?
I finished the book last week, haven't googled it once
HOW DOES RUclips KNOW?!
google knows whatever you buy online... if you buy physically
you probably take a picture to the cover with your phone... or you talk to a friend about the book (your devices are hearing all the time... O.O)
Its like the lord ruler alway knows!!!!
Ewan as Kelsier is kind of perfect
I literally got a little choked up imagining if this ever happens. Thank you!
;)
Just a note, about an entire year ago, Mistborn was picked up by DMG entertainment (as well as the rest of the cosmere). Recently, they got Brandon Sanderson to write the screenplay for the first film. Although it's still currently in very early stages of production, the Mistborn trilogy adaption is very real.
Yeah. I really wish they would make it as a TV show, even an animated one, as opposed to a movie though. It’s my favorite book of Sandersons, and I want to see it done right
@@alextuszynski2083 although I agree, mistborn would make a fantastic animated show, Brandon himself has said he's always imagined Mistborn as a movie adaptation, so if he's involved in the process I'm fairly certain they will manage to make it accurate to the books
Is it bad that I would much rather have an animated series with at least 6 seasons than a live action film. Cartoons and animated stuff is such a guilty pleasure because you can’t go wrong with it like you can a live action. Plus you can do so many more things with it and it not looking stupid in the end.
Would be a mistake not to make the movie.
Could be the best movie of all times, far better than Marvels -Avengers, Lord of the rings, Hobbit, Harry Potter, and Justice League all toghether!!
@@pauldraghici9893 Unfortunately, I feel the books would give the a live action film too many high expectations. It would probably be so much easier to make a terrible film than a good film. Unless we’ll be few of the lucky fandoms to actually get a talented director, that cares about accuracy, with enough money to make cgi and other special effects good.
This makes me want a Mistborn CRPG so, so badly.
Yo this is nothing short of perfection
Lord Ruler that was good!
"Directed by Peter Jackson"
Woooo! Wait. LOTR Jackson or Hobbit Jackson?...
You're so funny. :)
With LotR, Peter Jackson was running the show from the start. With the Hobbit, he was picking up the pieces and trying to make it work.
Admittedly, I'm still not entirely forgiving him for the monstrosity that followed, but I'm cutting him a little bit of slack. Very little.
@@richlee3777 it wasn't Jackson's fault. LOTR was 3 epic books, with the best of the narrative of the middle-earth and the best cast, 3 main characters and a lot of awesome second characters. Hobbit was 1 short book, with a fun-tone (not an epic one) and a worse characters cast. There was a try to make it work, but the source material obviously wasn't the same, and wasn't in the same level. If all hobbit was 1 movie, then I'm sure the story would be very different.
@@alexespinar2122 Sorry, those reasons don't hold any water at all. They threw out 3/4 of the book, then tripled the content with absolutely horrific nonsense. Plus they made the dwarves CLOWNS. I'm sorry, the dwarves sang silly songs at times, but they weren't bloody clowns. Radagast was a clown as well. It was disrespectful and appalling.
I don't do pre-teen humour. LotR wasn't pre-teen humour. The Hobbit was pre-teen humour. It was "Malcom in the Middle" type stuff. It could have been treated with respect. It wasn't. It was appalling.
Plus, let's just be very real here: Game of Thrones spent 10 hours per book, and they had to cut out half of the material to squeeze that book into 10 hours. They could easily have done 10 hours of legitimate fantastic Hobbit that was true to the book.
@@richlee3777 10 hours of the Hobbit? No way. Book one of ASOIAF is 292,000 words and the Hobbit is 95,000. No way could you squeeze 10 hours out the Hobbit AND be true to the source materials.
Seriously, why is this not a movie yet??!!!
Literal goosebumps watching this, feels so accurate with the how u could imagine it while reading the book
RIP Chadwick Boseman :(((
This isn't actually half-bad... I'm impressed!
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!
Dude that was incredible congratulations! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I really hope Sanderson finally finds the opportunity for this to happen. He wants it to be done right, and I really respect him for it.
I would be so stoked if I was watching this title for the real thing in a movie theater.
The only mistake that it has it's that the Sky isn't red btw good job 👍👍👍
What he said :)
I'm currently writing a Mistborn tv show for the hell of it and this title sequence fits so fucking well for what I've done. Good job!
Needs more red sky otherwise damn good
The casting director should probably be fired because they forgot about Vin :P
Willow Shields?
@@rymdalkis i dont know, she's too sturdy to be Vin, Vin looks like a girl, both face and body, being 18, Vin its practicaly a Loly
I just finished reading Mistborn and loved it. This fan-made trailer is beautiful. I seriously doubt that the books could adequately be turned into a movie, but your trailer gives me some hope.
WHY ARE THW BUILDINGS AND EVERYTHING EXACTLY AS IN MY MIND!?!?
I LOVE THIS
I always imagined Straff Venture as Seas Bean.
Thank you for this, so well-made.
This looks great
Hope your dream team makes the movie.
RIP Chadwick
Increible es como me lo imaginaba
la fantasia sexual de todo buen fan de mistborn
The great thing is I knew exactly who each of these actors were supposed to be
Why has this not happened yet? How is there a grisha trilogy show coming out and not a mistborn one? Wtf???
I would love an anime based on the series🤠
Should have had a picture of the mistborn on a rooftop at the end. Good video tho
I don't know why, I when I picture the cast members, I think of Jamie Lannister actor as Kelsier, Ewan MacGregor as Docks, Benedict Cumberbatch as Breeze, Starlord actor for Hammond, Richard Armitage (Thorin Oakenshield) as the Lord Ruler/Rashek...and I'm not who would play Vin or Ellend, or even Sazed...anybody else like my picks?
Somebody PLEASE make this happen
That's quite the cast lol
Thank you!
Awesome concept!
Dam that's an expensive cast
I F*CKIN NEED IT
I'm gonna read the first trilogy all over again and it's your fault
one day...
Thats visionary
Maybe Guy Ritchie is a better director, because of the action scenes. But this looks 😍😍😍
LOVE
Damn !! this gives me goosebumps
Hello there
So let me see:
Vin: Willow Shields
Kelsier: Evan McGregor
Sazed: Chadwick Boseman
Lord Ruler: Benedict Cumberbatch
Marsh?: Jake Gyllenhaal
Elend: Liam Hemsworth
Did I get it right?
My guesses are
Ewan as Kelsier
Willow as Vin
Chadwick as Hamm.
Countersnach as Breeze
Jake as Dockson
And Hemsworth either as Marsh or as Elend.
Shut up and take my money !!!
I'd like to see Quentin Tarantino direct this one
I liked it a lot although I would change the soundtrack because it sounds like the lord of the rings style when it should be more harry potter style I mean mysterious and soft, but very good work for the rest
Who would Chadwick Boseman be playing?
Edit: who is everyone after Ewan McGregor playing?
It would be really cool if Peter Jackson did direct it
Great stuff! But might I suggest adding an actor to play Vin? It is quite imperative, I think.
WOW
Too many A list actors. That is not what this needs. Get us some fresh faces.
Yo this looks fake as fuck, and I still can't help but feel hyped to shit at the prospect of this being a thing one day. Holy shit I really want adaptations of this or Stormlight so bad!
or wait... is it Percy Jackson (iykyk)
Why are you just showing pictures of London?
So which of these actors is playing Vin?
Where is the score from? BTW this is really cool
It’s Kait’s theme from Gears 5!
... who was playing Vin?
did you draw these pictures?
I wish, but no. The images are concept art from the video game Thief that I took into Photoshop and divided into different layers to get the parallax effect. I would have loved to add more of my own touch, but since this was a project for a class I didn't want to bite off more than I could chew!
:O
Who’s playing who?
These are my guesses:
Vin: Willow Shields
Kelsier: Evan McGregor
Sazed: Chadwick Boseman
Lord Ruler: Benedict Cumberbatch
Marsh?: Jake Gyllenhaal
Elend: Liam Hemsworth
If Peter Jackson is the director it’s going to be a complete fuck up.
