@@Joecool292 It also took me a while to realize I was reading Batman and Robin. Take note: 1) they are a crime-fighting duo 2) one was a poor kid taken in by the other who happened to be rich 3) the wealthy guy left his home for years to train how to fight 4) the wealthy guy returned home but sneaks away from his manor at night to hunt criminals in the city as an effective superhero 5) one of the duo is named Wayne :)
I would have liked for Steris to be included in the fan art. At first, I was just like "meh, whatever" but on Bands of Mourning I felt like sha had became a part of the team and a great character.
oh she quickly became one of my favorite characters because sure she's not a gunslinging badass, but damn if she isn't good at what she does and makes plans for ANY situation
Yeah but it's literally a core part of his character that he hates guns. It's so weird that people who love the series enough to draw fan arts forget something important like that.
Actually, this isn't fan art. This is the cover art for GraphicAudio's adaptation of Alloy of Law. More likely than not, the error was made by some artist the company contracted on a per-cover basis who'd never read the series. Considering that, I'd say it's pretty damned close to the feel of the books, honestly.
This song makes me grin like the Cheshire Cat. On a side note, I about crashed my car while listening to this due to laughter, because I got the sudden image of Wayne listening to it and trying to hit people's heads with his dueling canes in time to the percussion.
What I'd really find cool to hear is a track based on the execution scene from late into The Final Empire. I just read it for the first time last night and found the scene insanely powerful and profound
Wow. Absolute perfection. I had my RUclips running autoplay, and when I heard this composition come on, I thought, "Wayne?" You absolutely nailed it, sir.
DAMN this is a swell tune! The last bit where the music fades out I can’t help but imagine a voiceover bit for like a trailer saying “There’s always another secret”
I can definitely hear Wayne and Wax in this music. In the darker segments, I definitely feel the threat to all existence, looming on the horizon. Brilliantly done! [WoK spoiler] Also, any chance you'll write music for Kaladin and his unit turning back to save Dalinar and his men?
Just finished bands of mourning and decided to check if I could find any RUclips videos of the mistborn series. This was one of the first suggestions and I'm glad I found it.
It is insane, how well you've managed to nail the atmosphere and the story to this soundtrack. You have a talent, for the love of god dont stop what you're doing!!!
This is very much music i would have in a Wax/Wayne video game. very cool subtle sounds, almost sounds like glass rewinding back into a window in some points.
This gives me chills listening to it and is one of the most incredible pieces Ive heard that captures the essence of the books, Im so happy I found this!
Wayne claimed he knew the name for every combination of twinborn, but he also claimed he once stole a horse that could talk, so you learned to take the things he said with a pinch of copper.
I just found this recently after finishing era 2 and I cannot stop listening to it! You are so talented oh my gosh! The way you put this together captures the essence of this series and the characters. I can totally imagine a tv show with the themes you created. It’s just brilliant! 👏🏻
Wow, this is really fantastic. Never have I heard a fan-made piece of music sound so great. And I really like the percussion sounds you've got there. I've really been having a hard time trying to emulate that.
This sounds almost exactly how I'd imagined Era 2 of Mistborn would sound. It's stylistically in the same vein as Hans Zimmer's score for the Robert Downey Jr. Sherlock Holmes films, which is perfect, since that time of the film (mixed with a little Bioshock Infinite) is visually how I always imagined Era 2 to be like. Great job with the score! :)
This is fantastic but I'll always have the song moondance by van Morrison stuck in my head when thinking about the series because I was listening to that song during my read of alloy of law
Have you read Way of kings? its Brandon Sanderson's Epic fantasy with similar scale to Wheel of time and set in the cosmere (on a diffrent planet but in the same universe) and is arguably way better but also much harder to read due to the length of each book
I love how the music Waxes and Waynes.
I'm sad I never noticed the puns with the character names until now
@@Joecool292 It also took me a while to realize I was reading Batman and Robin.

Jonathan Renaud The best part is that Scadrial has no moon, so the pun is lost on Wax and Wayne, too.
@@frylxvii5674 thats like 3 levels of funny right there
I just love the piano! It so fits with the theme!

I love Steris. even in her 1st scene I knew she _could_ be really interesting, but was afraid she'd end up abandoned. so glad she got screen time :D
ikr she became one of my favorite characters after book 2. I loved their romance.
So on board with all four opinions. I really like Steris.
I mean, at that point might as well include MeLaan, too.
Great music.
One thing I have always wondered, why does all fan art of Wayne depict him having a gun?
OMG i did not even noticed Wayne having a gun. Such a terrible mistake.
Because he's in a Western-ish setting, and it probably just feels natural to throw guns on everybody. Besides, it could be taking place post-BoM.
Yeah but it's literally a core part of his character that he hates guns. It's so weird that people who love the series enough to draw fan arts forget something important like that.

yeah, what's up with that
It really captures the feel of era 2
actually was confirmed when he published Mistborn: Secret History that Wax and Wayne is Era Two.
It really makes you feel like a twinborn
- probably ign
I totally agree.
By any chance are you on Minecraft?
This song makes me grin like the Cheshire Cat. On a side note, I about crashed my car while listening to this due to laughter, because I got the sudden image of Wayne listening to it and trying to hit people's heads with his dueling canes in time to the percussion.
Makes sense to me.
Oh my gosh that imagery is amazing
Me and my brother just about died laughing as I was pretending to be Wayne as he bash's peoples heads to the music
Five years late, but this is fucking beautiful.
Bro listening to this after the lost Metal really gives you the feels
f in c(hat) for my boi wayne
The classic saloon piano really does this piece wonders, I gotta say

Dang, had I not read that scene in WoK just a week ago, I would have been pissed for spoiling it to myself.
The art work looks like it is wax in the center and Wayne to the left...if that's the case, why the rust does he have a gun on his belt?
Just finished bands of mourning and decided to check if I could find any RUclips videos of the mistborn series. This was one of the first suggestions and I'm glad I found it.
Can we get a Words of Radiance music selection?
Gives me Robert Downey Jr. Sherlock Holmes vibes, a film that actually gave me era 2 vibes. You captured the mood perfectly!
Absolutely my favorite of all the cosmere soundtracks I've found
I listen to this music every time I read Sanderson's books
It is insane, how well you've managed to nail the atmosphere and the story to this soundtrack. You have a talent, for the love of god dont stop what you're doing!!!
This was created back when the third Wax and Wayne book came out. Here we are five years later without more Wax and Wayne 😭😭😭😭
Luckily brandon has started writing it! I’m excited for it to come put next year
Coming in November!!!!
You excited? We've only got about a month!
@@bethanyheller6162 Holy cow it's coming up fast!
this is such unique music, i’m really liking the meld of wild-west-saloon-piano with the fantasy vibes!
This captures the essence of Mistborn era 2 so well, I love it!
This is very much music i would have in a Wax/Wayne video game. very cool subtle sounds, almost sounds like glass rewinding back into a window in some points.
I feel like i'm in a mid evil castle. And that's amazingly legitimate. I'll read Mist Born now.
That lilting tune at the end and begining gets me SO HYPPEEE
It sounds EPIC!!! Almost like part of a movie
The way you used honky tonk(?) music style truly captures the era of steampunk/industrial revolution vibe of Mistborn era. Amazing!

Wow,thanks, currently reading shadow of self, this song certainly added to my reading experience.
I'm gonna cry. I just finished the lost metal ..
It's wonderfull I wish you could publish your job on Spotify someday
Do you plan to do more of these on the Cosmere? Because I like this a lot.
I can't help but feel the scene at the beginning of shadows of self inside the tavern.
I love the theme, I literally listen to it before starting each Era 2 book. Gives me sherlock holmes vibes.
This is amazing!!!!!! I hope they hire you, if they do a mistborn movie hahaha.

getting great western-magic mix vibes here! spot on
This is phenomenal! I'd love to find more music like it. Anyone got suggestions to help me?
This is perfect! I can really imagine a movie :O with this soundtrack!
One of my favorite series!
_OCD go brrrr_
1.) Why does Wax have goggles?
2.) That's a normal trench coat, not his mist coat.
3.) WHO GAVE WAYNE A GUN, FOR HARMONY'S SAKE?!

This compares favorably with the theme to the Robert Downey Jr Sherlock Holmes movie.
It kinda looks on the fanart like Wayne has a gun. But he doesn't use guns.
