Why sucrose, why not say alcohol, or a different sugar, or even a salt, could the permeability of different materials show a false reaction when used later, as in, if used later to test a reaction between area a and area b, the new material may only flow or penetrate because of the pre-existing soloution is already embedded, or has made a larger than usual pathway
