- I continue my monologue about last year's experience working for Lawn Love and Lawn Starter, and tell you some of the pros and cons of both companies.
#LawnLove #LawnStarter
Lawnstarter now has a route optimization feature... I’m making almost $1200 a week on lawnstarter and only driving about 100 miles a week on top of my normal route
I just received a call from someone at lawn love which I never heard of and they asked me if I could finish up a yard a previous lawn love user did. Basically the customer wasn’t happy with the type of work they did. So lawn love found me on Yelp and asked me if I could help them finish the job. So I went ahead and drove to the location which is 20 minutes from where I live and gave the representative of LV my estimate which was $575 for a complete backyard clean up and hauling. The LV person told me that it was kind of high because the previous lawn person quoted then $100. I Was like no way I would do that job fit $100 there is a lot of leaves to rake. I Was told not to take the trash and just bag it so I lowered the price to $495 which they agreed to pay. By the looks of it they get people jobs but they pay is low. I will stick to quoting my self where I can charge anywhere from $285 to $725 for a yard clean up.
I started this year qorking for both myself and i will say that every yard i go to here in san Diego has been 4 to 5 foot tall weeds and 1ft tall grass these 2 apps like you said have work ifcyou wanta run your machine through a forest
Sorry to hear. Likewise, if you look up reviews about either company, they are about 90-95% negative from the customers. As I've said before, time is better spent building your own client base. It may take a little while, but absolutely worth it. Good luck to you, and hope you're successful!
This is great I need to post my story about my journey with lawn starters!!!
Thanks for watching, and let me know when it's up so I can learn what you went through.
How you like it so far is that pay Decent also I just started using lawn starter haven’t got any jobs yet :(
Oh wow well I stopped working for them an they’ve been tryna sabotage my person buisness then I went to lawn love and they are something else to. I got a email in the beginning of this year an they are combining their companies together and that can’t be a good thing
I worked for lawn love in LA. the jobs are like you said" horrible lawns". the pay is $20 dollar on large lawns that have no grass at all but a bunch of leafs and weeds, so when I re quote, they accept to the hours, but later accused me of abused of lawn growth when there was not growth, but the app has a choice of extra time too, rather than overgrowth, but to the stingy client, it appears as overgrowth. They complained and I got deleted from their app. I had to do it to make extra money. The problem I see is that lawn love is like by CHEAP SKATES who see as a way to get practically free work for their neglected yard by choice.
Hey, what service do you recommend? Seen a lot of bad reviews on Lawn Love. I don't care about the price, I just really need these weeds pulled and my grass cut. I need premium service.
I wonder if you could download 5 or 6 different apps and use all of them for better route density. Then you can get 5-10 that are close by instead of 1 or 2.
For me, it's not worth it. I'm doing WAY better on my own, without having to take on jobs for LL or LS. One job alone can net me the same amount of money as 2 jobs for them! Much better to market yourself; if you're doing great work you'll get ahead.
I’m with lawn love you ain’t lying bro the pay sucks balls I’m going on 30 mins drive for 25 dollars and the lawn do suck.
Do you plan to stay with them? I hope you are able to get a pool of your own clients. I wouldn't mind using Lawn Love to plug some rare gaps in the route schedule, just so I'm always staying busy, but lately people don't seem to be using LL.
Buckhorn Lawn Service how do you cancel with them
@@bigwaxthabarber6961 Sorry for the late reply, I don't know how I missed this. I think you can just contact them and ask to be removed from their system, but I just simply turned off app notifications and haven't picked up any jobs for them.
Tell them you want out otherwise lawnlove will charge you for missed lawn cuts . An it will add up an be taken from your last check. Hope that helps
@@chrisnestel5495 You've earned a shout out in my next video where I'll be talking about exactly that: Lawn Love claiming missed jobs and penalizing the contractor, even though it's not true. Stay tuned!
I do amazon and lawnstarter killing it making 2k a week with both
Congrats! Let us know here a bit more about Amazon, and how it works. I've not done it and am a little curious.
LawnStarters gets me shitty lawn mowing jobs but because of LawnStarters I’m getting clean ups and tree work which is making me so much money off the app!
Good deal, man, glad it's working out for you! Keep up the hustle!
I've currently work for both and they absolutely suck
Sorry to hear. If you gotta do it for a bit to get yourself established, totally understand. But get your own customer base ASAP so that you're actually making money. Good luck!
I'm guessing you have to have all of your own lawn equipment?
Yes, that's correct.
How long does it take to receive a payment for both ?
1 week for lawnstarter and 3 (business) days for lawn love
@@Zachpoteet380 thanks
I like lawnstarter.... Makes u work harder to try to beat your last paycheck.
@@stylelm2488 motivation
Where do you live sir
I believe you should of just stole the client's ask what lawn love charge and charge them 5 less
They're both horrible, but lawn love is much, MUCH worse, and it will take me at least a full hour or 2 of typing to explain why
You can always draft it on Notepad, then copy & paste it here. This vid seems to have brought out great responses from guys working for the big on-demand lawn service companies. Always great to see the feedback from others.
