I met Cayle at a Downpresser show in Virginia Beach maybe circa 2013, a year later I moved to LA, and without hesitation, Cayle made it a point in invite me and my friends I moved out with to hang out with him in the garage of doom, he hardly knew us and made sure we came to his birthday show, introduced us to practically all of our friends in the LA hardcore scene and always made us feel welcome, he was a one of a kind individual and I will always be proud to have called him a friend.
Moved to LA from VA back in 2013 and was introduced to Cayle through the guys I was living with. I can say he truly accepted anybody for who they were and was one of the more welcoming people I’ve ever met. RIP Cayle, everyone is going to miss you man
I remember when me and a couple of friends started going to shows at Kung Fu Corner in like 2007 and felt out of place with the “Westlake Kids” until we were welcomed by Cayle and some others. Cayle will always be one of the most unique, caring individuals that I have ever met in my entire life. No matter who you were, if he cared about you, you were always welcomed and taken care of by him.
I saw Twitching Tongues at 1720 a few weeks back, little did I know it would be the last time I would see this gem of a guy drumming for them. RIP Cayle. Hug your loved ones extra tight every moment you get with them, you never know when it’ll be the last time you see them. You’ll be missed, Cayle. ❤
First met Cayle playing shows with Betrayl in HS. He was always so goddamn funny and such a nice guy. Would stop and chat anytime I saw him at shows after years of not seeing him. Never was too big for anyone. RIP CAYLE
Always looked forward to hearing Cayle stories on the show, so glad he’ll live on through ‘em, and through this gem of a mini-hardlore. RIP to a real one
RIP Cayle. I only met you one time outside of a show at anchors up when I was super young but you took the time to talk to a very obviously nervous 13 year old about your bands I really appreciated that. Also later that night I passed by you talking to Mark about the different kinds of BBQ sauce
I’ve never wanted to meet a person so badly just based on secondhand stories. Thank you for sharing this little bit of time you had with him on camera. RIP Cayle ❤
Spending a month and a half with him on tour, everyone leaned on Cayle on our “ bad days” to fix that, and he effortlessly delivered. I’m glad I was blessed to have called him a friend. Luv u kale
Only met Cayle a couple of times but even years apart, he'd remember who you were, come up and chat to you like no time had passed and was just the friendliest person in the world. He'd continually quote the Clan of the Duck episode of Rugrats at us as it was the first thing that came to mind for him when he thought of Scottish people and it was hilarious. One of a kind human being and an amazing talent to witness behind the kit
I met Cayle when he played with Betrayal at the Cabana Hall in Oxnard. Cayle shortly took the 805 scene by storm joining Crucial. At that point nobody played as hard and punchy as he did. His hilarious personality and skill quickly made him out to become California’s greatest hardcore drummer saving so many great bands from going under. He was just down for hardcore. No matter how shitty you felt like you played walking off the stage, he was always there to make you feel like you killed it. A true rocker in every sense. RIP
I got to meet Cayle at a party after a Suburban Scum/Mizery show and we just ended up chilling in the kitchen the whole time just talking about music and life. Felt like talking to a lifetime long friend. Great dude. Rest In Power.
This was incredibly funny and moving. Cayle is such a genuine and loving person and it’s heartbreaking that he’s not here anymore. Rest easy. Props to Colin and Bo for putting this out there ❤️
So glad you guys were able to capture and share this moment. Loved his work in TT and from all the stories I’d heard, couldn’t wait to hear more. Great tribute to what seemed like a genuinely great soul.
Love and miss you, Cayle. It was one of the best times of my life playing in a band with you for a little while. Thank you for being you and thank you for being a friend
This one hit hard. I will always wish I could have met him. Just seemed like a wild dude that I could get along with in many different ways. Rest in peace Cayle
Rest in peace Cayle. I never met him, and I’m now kicking myself for letting every opportunity I had to see one of his bands slide. But my heart goes out to anyone who knew him. He’s a legend, forever.
Thanks for putting this together, he forgot to mention it had to be like 20 degrees outside while he was running through the streets looking for that thing, love ya Cayle.
I don’t think I’ve ever been so sad to lose someone who I’ve never even been in the same room with. Gonna revisit this one very often. RIP to a literal legend. My thoughts are with you guys.
I’m so sorry for your troubles. I know you aren’t praying people but Cayle’s family and friends have my prayers, and I’ll be donating to the GoFundMe when I get paid on Friday. You’ve done well by him, I know he’s proud.
I only had a small interaction with cayle but it was a lovey one. I reviewed the twitchfits cover album on my channel and he saw my joke giving the band a bad review. he was nice to chat with and we talked about how we both never got the misfits. I was really looking forward to meeting him one day. i feel like i know him a bit since colin and bo talk so highly of him. may you rest easy cayle. You meant Alot to so many people
