"A Bad Goodbye" is a song written by American country music artist Clint Black, and recorded by him as a duet with fellow country music artist Wynonna. The song was recorded after the two toured together during their "Black and Wy" tour in 1993. It was released in May 1993 as the first single from Black's album No Time to Kill. It peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) chart, behind "Chattahoochee" by Alan Jackson. In addition, it was Black's first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 43 there.
The song was also nominated for Vocal Event of the Year at the 1993 Academy of Country Music awards.
No Time to Kill is the fourth studio album by American country music singer-songwriter Clint Black. The title is a play on the title of his debut album, Killin' Time.
All Five singles from the album were top ten hits for Black on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts: the title track hit #3; "A Bad Goodbye" (a duet with Wynonna Judd recorded after they toured together for 1993's "Black and Wy" concert tour), hit #2; "State of Mind" also hit #2; "A Good Run of Bad Luck" was a #1 single that was featured in the 1994 film Maverick; and "Half the Man" hit #4. "Tuckered Out" also reached #74 based on unsolicited airplay. No Time to Kill was also Black's fourth consecutive album to be certified at least platinum by the RIAA.

I had to watch it again and look really fast, but it looks like Lisa and Clint both wiped away tears toward the end of the song. This performance was INCREDIBLE!

I will say it again. This band is nothing without Hillary. She has never gotten the credit she deserves. Definitely in the top 5 best female artist in my mind.

I had the feeling that WOW...Dave has a great voice for sure...and it would be lovely to hear it more often. He is such a very sweet and humble man. Always in the background and never showing the need for attention. That is a gentleman for sure. Glad you posted again for all of us melting into a puddle!

They are good but Clint version and wynonna just has that soul. Like they were actually wrote it for each other. I think that what is missing in most songs today. The soul, the feeling and hurt and happy in the notes.
