Back in the day if you had full trangs on, you would revert back to necro at 1 hp like druids do. If you put another trang shield on swap, you would switch back to vampire form. You could spam w and have basically godmode. Poison facets would trigger every time, so you could spam lvl 44 poison nova. Absolutely wrecked duel games. It's been fix since then but man it was good.
I never bothered with poison when I played back in the day because I was obsessed with summons. But I tried it on d2r once I found a dweb. I admit this is my favorite build of all time now. Thanks to your first d2r Pnova guide

Poison necro was my favorite PVP build. Everyone ticked down to 1 health instantly lol. Stacked up light immune revives to beat glitch javazons. Was so much fun! Nice showcase, love to see less popular characters.

Great to see some love for the poison necro. Started one with D2R, 1 bar of exp away from lvl 94. Super fun but I like to forego the skeleton army and max bone prison for the bone armour synergy for extra tankiness. Also rock the 3pc TO (Belt/Gloves/Shield) but can see how a homonc+arachnids mesh work well.
I started a bone necro and CANT wait to do my poison necro. Whats your gear? I already did some planning on gear and skills, did decide to use bone armor and prison that combo is too letal!

YES. I tried doing poison necro in Hell with SSF gear. IT WAS NOT FUN... Would love to see you try Llama without your "budget gear" that is still out of reach for most of us :D!
3 piece trang (shield, gloves, belt), stealth armor, lore rw helm, cheap crafted/rare ammy with +pnb and resists, aldurs boots, spirit weapon / white with + psn nova. It is extremely cheap setup, however bone > psn always in every scenario until you get end game items like skillers, enigma, dweb.
this is one of the few builds that is not cheap/easy to build. if it has to be necro i would start with a summoner working on getting that enigma and then mf with him for better stuff. and if you ever get deaths web (the crucial item) you can do poison necro.

Maybe they’re using things like D2 jayespe (typing this strange bc it seems to be filtered, comments get deleted when I include it… kinda weird). Most people will never see a death’s web drop even if they play 100s of hours
This and bone necromancer are the only builds I have never tried in all my 20 years of Diablo. I'm playing poison nova now and loving it. Even with just full Trang's and a spirit I'm breezing through hell
Love the format. Would love to see very quick gameplay clips, ideal ways to play it and where to farm etc then quick skills, attributes and gear. Nothing too crazy. Not sure llama mentions one of Pnovas greatest strengths: you are tri-damage. Poison as your main, soon as something dies you corpse explosion spam for Phys/fire. Can use amp damage for fire immunes and lower Res for Phys immunes too. Genuinely fun character
@XxMerc050xX basically all of his builds are out of the reach of casual players. Funny how people like this are against the game being updated and made a little more accessible to people that don't dedicate 10hr a day to farming.
@@henley1438 well hopefully blizzard will address this in future updates and possibly adjust the drop rates for high runes, well all runes really, and certain items. Would be nice to see a ZOD rune drop without having to play for 20 years lol.

Since recently I could craft Enigma, trade death web and some skillers pnb. I have found Mara, soj, shako and so on. Man you were right, this build is so so SO powerful ! And so fun :D Fire/Poison and Physic make him more or less unstoppable

Hey MrLlama, I run a similar setup to you for magic finding on my poison necro but I use a 35% spirit with arachnid mesh and trang gloves to reach 75% fcr for smoother teleporting. Do you also aim for that breakpoint with your MF setup? If so how do you do it? Also, after maxing poison nova and its synergies, I ended up maxing out skeleton warriors and I've been dumping the rest of my points into corpse explosion, is that recommended? This was my first chr and skill I ever played. Back in the day when I first started when d2 came out. I always loved poison nova. I plan on making this chr one day
Really curious if Revives would be better than skellys. 10 points into revive for 10 summons (you have 10 skellies with it maxed) and 10 into summon mastery??
I made this with Trang set and White, and it still slaps pretty hard. You get +poison damage and -poison resist from the set, and you don't have to worry about FCR since it's bugged. It also gives you loads of runspeed. Fun as hell.
Do you need poison nova skill when there are helmet that send out poison nova for every hit? Like ur Druid 45 density run. Or is it coz skill poison nova do more damage when maxed?
Do you think infinity on my merc could sub for Death's web? I have a +2 necro skills teleport charge amulet, so mulling over bramble for the armour slot instead of Enigma.
Hi, I have a question , Trang-Oul's Wing + Girth v.s Homunculus + Arachnid Mesh, which one is better and does more damage ? already have Death's web and Gloves is Trang-Oul's.
He starts in an 8-man team every time so it's not relevant to your experience. I believe he was blizzard sorc. It's the fastest char to get around and farm bosses with but you need to have experience or you're just gonna get frustrated when you keep dieing in hell. I recommend javazon since I'm having a blast with it and it's really fucking strong. All you need is attack speed, move speed and resist gear to clear hell.

This is an amazingly strong build and can be tanky. I use an Act2 defiance merc no skellies and an insight golem. Max block with trang shield. 300mf -142 poison resistance to enemies when cursed (and dweb, trang). Bone Shield up 500 dam blocked. High defence, if they get past my defence and my block i still have the shield and about 2300 health. And the kill rate in key areas beats everything but an infinity nova sorc (which it matches).
this channel is my diablo 2, he does lose me with his fast talking but all diablo 2 channels talk fast they just don't like a guide which is super helpful

One of my favourite builds. So much fun, especially with some summons, and I go for bramble over Enigma, just for versatility and I don't like enigma at all.
Like most videos it's successful with the usage of corpse explosion. It should be entitled, corpse explosion slash hybrid build or something. Never the less, great video.

Okay; my new necromancer that is just level 70 I have respec’d. During the process I accidentally didn’t max PN enough >_< and used two respecs. Felt a lot weaker but I guess that’s the gear deficit. Most excited to trust the Llama 🦙 way and with this build I’ll feel myself become a much more powerful farmer.

Hey! How much better is a badly rolled dweb (1 skill, -40 res) versus a 4skill white wand? I’m not sure how resist works and what difference -40 would make if I already use lower resist curse Cheers
you can defenitly feel the difference. But if you dont have a dweb you can use the 3-piece trang and be good with that and a white with+nova or spirit in hand. The important part of dweb is its -% psn while having 1 or 2 skills isnt huge difference
hey, on your videos could you go a little bit in more depth on like how you run the characters. Like hey i like to cast this then use this to attack bosses and this to clear big groups. I know it may seem kinda obvious for someone people but it just would be helpful to see you go a little more in depth on how you play with the character. And maybe some more budget builds or hey this is what you wanna do through normal and nightmare gear wise or skill wise. or you should have (x) strength/dex/vit going into nightmare-hell. Just because maybe >10% of players are gonna get a character all the way to a endgame character +90 level. Thanks for your videos, i watch and use them all the time coming back into D2R.
Hah. Playing the pois-necro but with full tang since I'm poor as sh*t and still very very reliable. Fun fact: the lower cast rate of the vampire-form isn't that bad since you can't spamkill since the nova needs 2 seconds to deal full damage anyway. But you CAN deal additional damage when you (for example) car firewall. Second fun fact: The fire skills get points from every item that gives +1to all skills even if it isn't shown in the set tooltip. So hoto, spirit and every other + to all its very good, especially if you use the lower resistance curse with it!
Yeah running Trangs full myself too right now. Great for budget and aye don't need amazing FCR due to damage over time. I've noticed you get a weird fire pulse as vampire that will cut any animations and still perform the current spell, etc though so that's some form of weird FCR almost. Fun build! Would not recommend till you have Trang gloves and at least like +8 at least to skills (or at least to PnB) from various sources

CHALLENGE IDEA: - ranged paladin - spearzon(not fender, still charged strike, but using spear instead of a javelin) - throw barb - melee sorc - paladin but you predent you are an Act 2 merc (only polearms, no shield (obvious), only defiance, blessed aim, prayer, might, holy freeze and thorns aura allowed) - amazon using sword & shield - ranger sorc - assassin necro - bow/crossbow druid but as soon as you run out of ammo you have to werebear/werewolf, but aren't allowed to werebear/werewolf while you ahve ammo. KICKER: you have to pick up every arrow/bolt you encounter if your inventory allows it. - dragon paladin - paladin but as soon as you can pick the skill you have to learn it and use it. The two skills you must use all the time are CONVERSION for attack and SANCTUARY as an aura. Holy shield is allowed. - vengeance paladin. You must have Holy Fire+Holy Shock+Holy Freeze(once levels allow you) active at all times ( all three) and the only attacking skill allowed is VENGEANCE. You must look for other sources of the runewords while having one active ( Dream, Dragon, Doom, Hand of Justice ). Merc isn't allowed. I know you have done some of them
@@mariusscheijgrond9061 u use Poinson skills only. No bone or summon skills. Amplify damage/decrepify not allowed. For example, you can use dim vision curse to sneak by enemies. Also, daggers only allowed, no shield.
2:16 i am not a expert but a good combo in this poison necro is the gloves of trang' oul the trophy and the belt for extra poison damage, and if you are not in PVP enigma is completely innessesary you can use bramble runeword and have even more poison damage.
I can never take these seriously when Llama is calling enigma "a little expensive". The vast majority of the playerbase, will never even see one high rune ever. Very few people can ever get a ber rune let alone build an enigma. It is not just a bit expensive, it is impossibly expensive. You either have to dedicate all your time to this game, which is only really possible to people making money from these games or you will have to put some real money. Anything else is just a byproduct of bots and dupes or in general hacking in D2.
This is very sad, but true. My only goal when coming back to the game, was to get enigma. Ive done over 2k hell meph runs with 315 mf and Cant even get a shako. This game is harsh^^
Totally agree,15+ years playing,never smelled a ber. I just laught at mercenary gear " suggestions" like is easy to get. But what do I know,i dont like getting Game rushed to start farming the same places over and over again. +22 to all skills lmao
I have 5 shakos from doing rakanishu + griswold + cow king runs only with around 400%mf. Rakanishu is one if not the Best mob to farm to get shakos, griswold always drop weapons and armor type loot which is Nice. So far i got 2 shakos from raka, 1 from griswold, 2 from cow king

What's your opinion on Lower Resist not lowering magic resistances? I mean for a bone necro, not having your final curse even lower the resist of your own damage is kinda weird and horrible, i dont know what they were thinking when they were making it lol...
Are You planing to do a series of all viable class builds without endgame gear that most people wont be able to get (enigma / infinity etc) with showing actual gameplay of that toons in hell so others can see how viable they are?
I mean, he has a tonne of videos of guided playthroughs of various classes. That is completely untwinked running from lvl 1 in normal to killing baal in hell. That' a good way to get a baseline for how a character performs. Then as you accumulate gear the big difference is survivability and killspeed.
I found a nice open 2os lich wand with +2 to poison and bone skills I made it into a white o get total +5 now which is awesome. No fcr with white though so I need find some fcr tings to make up for it.
working on mine now - looking for trangs, arach, homonculus, obviously DW. Getting by though with trangs gloves, shako, White runeword and +poison nova wand, etc. Looking for a few key pieces to get him to absolutely mob melter status. Super fun to play compared to my hammerdin
Poison necro has always been my favorite build. My poison necro on battlenet is the first time I’ve ever played it with death’s web and it’s a whole new ball game. Can’t wait to get the enigma and really kick it into high gear.

I built like this: Level 85 20 raise skeleton 1 in skel mastery, 1 clay golem 1 golem mastery 1 summon resist 1 point in lower resist and all pre-requisites 1 bone armor, 20 corpse explosion, 20 poison nova, 20 poison explosion, remaining points in poison dagger. Now that I have decent +skills gear I think I’m gonna respec fully into poison and divide the rest evenly between corpse explosion and raise skeleton. At low levels, try to get a white base with +3 to poison nova and +1 to lower resist. Getting lower resist from an item saves you like 7 or 8 points and really helps beef up the rest of the character

I made this exact toon and its def fun. The only issue i run across is sometimes i can break immunity from certain mobs and not others in worldstone, so that's got me a bit confused.
I made a poison Necro and I'm still struggling to kill quickly in hell. Lvl 83, same build. Maxed nova and expl, haven't fully maxed dagger yet. Homun, white wand with + poison explosion, lore headpiece, viper chest, Trang gloves. Do i just need more skillers? It feels like without either skillers or dweb it's hard to make work
you need higher skill level. PnB skillers for dps, enigma (to speed up runs) and dweb (break immunes and increase dps a lot). I would say enigma and dweb is needed to get this build to work on hell.

I've made my first poisonnova necro in HC ever now in D2R. Im soon lvl 90 and enjoying it a lot. Still having some bossing issues, but most of them are easy to take down.

The problem is this build isn’t very good without OP or plus to poison skill gear. Otherwise I’m sure he would have made a budget poison necro video.

Hi, I have a question , Trang-Oul's Wing + Girth v.s Homunculus + Arachnid Mesh, which one is better and does more damage ? already have Death's web and Gloves is Trang-Oul's.
what character did you start d2r with? curious what the best starter is when tryin to work towards these op builds
He starts in an 8-man team every time so it's not relevant to your experience. I believe he was blizzard sorc. It's the fastest char to get around and farm bosses with but you need to have experience or you're just gonna get frustrated when you keep dieing in hell. I recommend javazon since I'm having a blast with it and it's really fucking strong. All you need is attack speed, move speed and resist gear to clear hell.
@@TheLaubum Javazon was my very first char to clear hell. I just couldn't do it with other char because I didn't know back then that the word "build" exists.

a must is 3 piece trangs (I use belt, glove and the SHIELD is must) for the -25% enemy pois resists on shield

This is an amazingly strong build and can be tanky. I use an Act2 defiance merc no skellies and an insight golem. Max block with trang shield. 300mf -142 poison resistance to enemies when cursed (and dweb, trang). Bone Shield up 500 dam blocked. High defence, if they get past my defence and my block i still have the shield and about 2300 health. And the kill rate in key areas beats everything but an infinity nova sorc (which it matches).
this channel is my diablo 2, he does lose me with his fast talking but all diablo 2 channels talk fast they just don't like a guide which is super helpful
It's for sure one of my top builds as well, but dear god I hate, genuinely hate, having to use another character to gear up the character I want to play. I think I remember why I stopped playing ARPGs altogether.
You seriously don’t have to. It’s totally playable in pits and cows without dweb and enigma and you can get the rest of the gear for it in nightmare.

One of my favourite builds. So much fun, especially with some summons, and I go for bramble over Enigma, just for versatility and I don't like enigma at all.

Like most videos it's successful with the usage of corpse explosion. It should be entitled, corpse explosion slash hybrid build or something. Never the less, great video.
Cool video but yea.. i mean how long would this take to acquire playing solo casually? Something like 3 years.. maybe add something about important items breakpoints for when it can go from nightmare to hell so people who want to try this have some idea about it.

Okay; my new necromancer that is just level 70 I have respec’d. During the process I accidentally didn’t max PN enough >_< and used two respecs. Felt a lot weaker but I guess that’s the gear deficit. Most excited to trust the Llama 🦙 way and with this build I’ll feel myself become a much more powerful farmer.
I want to try this build out but the low fcr kind of scares me... Is it really fun to play with 46 fcr breakpoint?

Hey! How much better is a badly rolled dweb (1 skill, -40 res) versus a 4skill white wand? I’m not sure how resist works and what difference -40 would make if I already use lower resist curse

you can defenitly feel the difference. But if you dont have a dweb you can use the 3-piece trang and be good with that and a white with+nova or spirit in hand. The important part of dweb is its -% psn while having 1 or 2 skills isnt huge difference
hey, on your videos could you go a little bit in more depth on like how you run the characters. Like hey i like to cast this then use this to attack bosses and this to clear big groups. I know it may seem kinda obvious for someone people but it just would be helpful to see you go a little more in depth on how you play with the character. And maybe some more budget builds or hey this is what you wanna do through normal and nightmare gear wise or skill wise. or you should have (x) strength/dex/vit going into nightmare-hell. Just because maybe >10% of players are gonna get a character all the way to a endgame character +90 level. Thanks for your videos, i watch and use them all the time coming back into D2R.
Hah. Playing the pois-necro but with full tang since I'm poor as sh*t and still very very reliable. Fun fact: the lower cast rate of the vampire-form isn't that bad since you can't spamkill since the nova needs 2 seconds to deal full damage anyway. But you CAN deal additional damage when you (for example) car firewall.
Second fun fact:
The fire skills get points from every item that gives +1to all skills even if it isn't shown in the set tooltip. So hoto, spirit and every other + to all its very good, especially if you use the lower resistance curse with it!
Yeah running Trangs full myself too right now. Great for budget and aye don't need amazing FCR due to damage over time. I've noticed you get a weird fire pulse as vampire that will cut any animations and still perform the current spell, etc though so that's some form of weird FCR almost.
Fun build! Would not recommend till you have Trang gloves and at least like +8 at least to skills (or at least to PnB) from various sources

CHALLENGE IDEA:
- ranged paladin
- spearzon(not fender, still charged strike, but using spear instead of a javelin)
- throw barb
- melee sorc
- paladin but you predent you are an Act 2 merc (only polearms, no shield (obvious), only defiance, blessed aim, prayer, might, holy freeze and thorns aura allowed)
- amazon using sword & shield
- ranger sorc
- assassin necro
- bow/crossbow druid but as soon as you run out of ammo you have to werebear/werewolf, but aren't allowed to werebear/werewolf while you ahve ammo. KICKER: you have to pick up every arrow/bolt you encounter if your inventory allows it.
- dragon paladin
- paladin but as soon as you can pick the skill you have to learn it and use it. The two skills you must use all the time are CONVERSION for attack and SANCTUARY as an aura. Holy shield is allowed.
- vengeance paladin. You must have Holy Fire+Holy Shock+Holy Freeze(once levels allow you) active at all times ( all three) and the only attacking skill allowed is VENGEANCE. You must look for other sources of the runewords while having one active ( Dream, Dragon, Doom, Hand of Justice ). Merc isn't allowed.

@@mariusscheijgrond9061 u use Poinson skills only. No bone or summon skills. Amplify damage/decrepify not allowed.
For example, you can use dim vision curse to sneak by enemies.
Also, daggers only allowed, no shield.
I used to use homunc too until I realized 3 Trang pieces give -25 enemy poison res. Trang shield, belt, and glove is just so powerful

2:16 i am not a expert but a good combo in this poison necro is the gloves of trang' oul the trophy and the belt for extra poison damage, and if you are not in PVP enigma is completely innessesary you can use bramble runeword and have even more poison damage.
The Teleport staff is infinite? Or all staffs have charges?
I think Icy Veins has forgotten to update the page. They have all the new gear like Bramble on there but the video they link to you says Enigma.

Magic find doesn't affect rune drop. Kill many monsters and open chests
Pre Enigma is it better to go with Bone Prison over skeles since they’re a PITA to manage without tele?
I think it's generally better to go bone spear build while leveling if you're not doing fishymancer but I'm no expert.
I can never take these seriously when Llama is calling enigma "a little expensive". The vast majority of the playerbase, will never even see one high rune ever. Very few people can ever get a ber rune let alone build an enigma. It is not just a bit expensive, it is impossibly expensive. You either have to dedicate all your time to this game, which is only really possible to people making money from these games or you will have to put some real money. Anything else is just a byproduct of bots and dupes or in general hacking in D2.
This is very sad, but true. My only goal when coming back to the game, was to get enigma. Ive done over 2k hell meph runs with 315 mf and Cant even get a shako. This game is harsh^^
Same boat here man. Been doing Andy/Meph runs for last week with about 250% mf and no luck on shako either :(

I have 5 shakos from doing rakanishu + griswold + cow king runs only with around 400%mf. Rakanishu is one if not the Best mob to farm to get shakos, griswold always drop weapons and armor type loot which is Nice. So far i got 2 shakos from raka, 1 from griswold, 2 from cow king
@@dangkolache What is a bit hyperbolic, I never claimed a poison necro is not viable with earlier gear? I honestly do not even know how good a poison necro is with earlier gear, I never made one. I am just refering to how impossible it is to get any part of the gear shown here, for any character.

What's your opinion on Lower Resist not lowering magic resistances? I mean for a bone necro, not having your final curse even lower the resist of your own damage is kinda weird and horrible, i dont know what they were thinking when they were making it lol...
magic damage doesnt have resists. it's basically true damage.

Are You planing to do a series of all viable class builds without endgame gear that most people wont be able to get (enigma / infinity etc) with showing actual gameplay of that toons in hell so others can see how viable they are?
I mean, he has a tonne of videos of guided playthroughs of various classes. That is completely untwinked running from lvl 1 in normal to killing baal in hell. That' a good way to get a baseline for how a character performs. Then as you accumulate gear the big difference is survivability and killspeed.
Is blackbogs sharp a good enough budget weapon until you get deaths web? Arguably the second best weapon until then maybe?
I found a nice open 2os lich wand with +2 to poison and bone skills I made it into a white o get total +5 now which is awesome. No fcr with white though so I need find some fcr tings to make up for it.

working on mine now - looking for trangs, arach, homonculus, obviously DW. Getting by though with trangs gloves, shako, White runeword and +poison nova wand, etc. Looking for a few key pieces to get him to absolutely mob melter status. Super fun to play compared to my hammerdin

Poison necro has always been my favorite build. My poison necro on battlenet is the first time I’ve ever played it with death’s web and it’s a whole new ball game. Can’t wait to get the enigma and really kick it into high gear.

Level 85
20 raise skeleton 1 in skel mastery, 1 clay golem 1 golem mastery 1 summon resist
1 point in lower resist and all pre-requisites
1 bone armor, 20 corpse explosion, 20 poison nova, 20 poison explosion, remaining points in poison dagger.
Now that I have decent +skills gear I think I’m gonna respec fully into poison and divide the rest evenly between corpse explosion and raise skeleton.
At low levels, try to get a white base with +3 to poison nova and +1 to lower resist. Getting lower resist from an item saves you like 7 or 8 points and really helps beef up the rest of the character

shop drogan in normal for a white 2 socket wand with +3 to poison nova. then make it into a white. easy +6 to nova

What item is giving you endless teleports?
I made this exact toon and its def fun. The only issue i run across is sometimes i can break immunity from certain mobs and not others in worldstone, so that's got me a bit confused.
I made a poison Necro and I'm still struggling to kill quickly in hell. Lvl 83, same build. Maxed nova and expl, haven't fully maxed dagger yet. Homun, white wand with + poison explosion, lore headpiece, viper chest, Trang gloves. Do i just need more skillers? It feels like without either skillers or dweb it's hard to make work
you need higher skill level. PnB skillers for dps, enigma (to speed up runs) and dweb (break immunes and increase dps a lot). I would say enigma and dweb is needed to get this build to work on hell.

I've made my first poisonnova necro in HC ever now in D2R. Im soon lvl 90 and enjoying it a lot. Still having some bossing issues, but most of them are easy to take down.
