But if the money you are making is barely helping you meet your needs you don't have a lot to invest. Even if someone saved the same percent of their income right, if you have a larger amount of income you will have a larger savings that will compound into a much larger amount of money. The truly sad part about these kids who are given everything, with respect to money, is that the reason they can sometimes go on a route of depression is because they are taught that accumulation of wealth is the only accomplishment that is worthwhile. And that is depressing-to believe you have nothing to shoot for in life because society says that money is the only thing worth going for and you already have it, I mean what can you do if you already have what life is supposed to be all about. Hobbies, interests, passions, love, friendship, helping others out, etc. none of that matters to society or their parents or whatever so they are taught to have no drive to actually make something of themselves in a way that is meaningful or actually pursue self-fulfillment in a way that is true to themselves.

    • @BigHotSauceBoss69
      @BigHotSauceBoss69 3 года назад +1

      You are entirely wrong - people born into wealth eventually often fail because they go through years in life with having to face little to no adversity. You all never think hard enough about this situation. Rich people obviously live amazing lives. The moment that something devastating that they can't change occurs, because life and reality is cruel, and eventually even rich people have to face some kind of adversity, they are not prepared for it. A relative or friend dying, committing a crime, etc. It's the sudden change from being high all the time to a new all time low. No preparation. Average well-off people and poor people constantly face challenges that we have to adapt to.
      Even being rich has huge disadvantages, you are all too biased to realize this...

    • @BigHotSauceBoss69
      @BigHotSauceBoss69 3 года назад +1

      This also explains why people who win the lottery and go from being poor or average to epicly rich often burn out, lose all their money somehow, etc. No preparation for how to handle such a large amount of money. "What's the stock market again?" This stuff is so obvious but you all have these hard blinders on that say "hurr durr rich person bad."

    The point that people like Gary V miss is that no one is saying he doesn't work hard, but those people starting from zero don't want to be PREACHED down to by trust fund babies on how to be successful. Being raised by a well off family also usually comes with many other perks such a financial literacy, familiarity with business practices and the related social skills that are completely lost on people from lower class families. He is telling people how to get from point A to point B while using his own experience as the example when really he started from point C to end up at point D. You will never be him but that is what he is selling you.
    Another thing, being so concerned with recognition for your success is in itself a privilege. You have more than met your needs but now need others to recognize your superiority. That sounds like a you problem. People starting from "zero" are just out here just trying to eat. So maybe chill.
