Nice. One thing I love about AE is that there are so many ways to achieve the same result, this makes it brilliant for finding workarounds in tough situations.
Excellent stuff, I keep coming back to the series before using a new (or rusty) effect. It beats the best reference books ever written on the subject and I've struggled with quite a few. Much MUCH appreciated Jake!
I recently just got the adobe master collection and also got recommended all these great tutorials! I normally work in blender which can have quite confusing tutorials but these are a great change of pace and easy to understand, thanks :)
I’m always baffled what kind of tools AE has to offer!!! As usual a sensational tutorial, fast walk through, crystal clear, very well presented, easy to follow… really outstanding work!!! SO glad I found this channel!!!👍🏻😎 Best wishes, Steven
Love your tutorials. Would love to see a tutorial on that transition from the word "Scribble" to the screen recording. Or what FX you are using to achieve that. The waves are so fluid and smooth. Thanks!
Hi, I have a problem with scribble effect. I used it for about 45 layers in a comp. Media Encoder can not loads my project. Just when I turn off many of scribble effect in my comp, media encoder can load the project. What is the matter? Do you know how to solve this problem? Thanks
How do we add this to shapes though, specifically an animated layer made up of multiple shape layers? For instance, lets say we have a child-like drawing of a house made out of basic shapes. One Layer called "building" has a square shape layer that is the wall, and another shape layer that is the door, and another that is windows - all inside that one "building" layer. How do you add that scribble effects onto the that layer with multiple shapes? Is there a "create mask" option out of shape layers how there is for text?
Hello, thank you so much for the tutorials. I have to apply this to a hand drawn animation. Any way to do that to a layer that's not a shape or text layer? How does one convert it to those if needed?
Hi there, I love your channel, I just have one question... is only applies to masks? I tried to do mogrts using this effects but the text must convert into masks in after effects but i just want to write the text in premiere pro, is there a way to achieve that?
On regular tutorials, absolutely! Most of these effects videos, though, are very to the point and you'll see what they do in no time. I understand that some are much longer than others, but I've almost completed the series at this point so I don't really want to change the format now.
@@JakeInMotion and you shouldn't. These should be guides on how to USE the effect. Most effects can be used for so many different applications (e.g. ramen, 7:00), and the combinations of effects are what makes things so powerful. Showing examples only limits your creativity on what you think you can do with effects.

Great videos. Request - could you include some examples at the very beginning so it's clear what you'll be explaining in the tutorial?
