Thanks! I’m really glad you like it. I’ve released a handful of albums that were my attempts at representing winter in music. Check my stuff out on Apple Music or Spotify - Dahkkloud “piano tape & synthesiser”
Thank you! Yeah, only once I had one for myself and learnt how to program it did I start to see how deep it is. It’s such a beautiful misunderstood synth!
Some of the beauty of FM synthesis not so much talk about. Just sheer feelings. Something that words cannot express. I think Brian Eno utilized DX-7 in some of his early works oh so well. This simple demonstration is already haunting me. Great work man.
@@ripplesr5655 Thank you for the kind words! I use to listen to Robert Fripp and Brian Enos albums when I was a kid, I need to go back to some of that stuff! If you liked this I made this video in between recordings for my new album I just released. distrokid.com/hyperfollow/dahkkloud/i-fear--4 it’s out on Spotify and Apple Music. It uses the dx7 in conjunction with my modular set up. I’m glad people are enjoying my music!
@@Dahkkloudmusic Oh hell! You got a modular setup?! Idk if you have any vdo on your channel messing around with the modular. Going to check'em as soon as get off the work. I went to your distro profile, couldn't follow you due to me not using spotify here. Will do that as well. You have a good one man.
I seriously need one of these.
Great sound! Just love how it comes through through the dx7. Can you make some more videos with winter synth like or dungeon synth vibe?

This is absolutely amazing, I never imagined it could produce these kind of eerie yet calming sounds!

What a great sound 🎵
Thanks! Yeah it’s a beautiful instrument, I find it so helpful when I’m making ambient music. As a keyboardist it’s kind of my safe space haha
You have coaxed some great tones out of what is clearly not a one-trick pony! (But I still love the EP)
Thanks Ryan! Yeah I love the EP too! I love all the Yamaha fm synths, such interesting keyboards. Glad you enjoyed it!
I hated the DX 7 but this has changed my mind a bit!
Haha I can understand that. It can be used in some seriously cheesy ways, but honestly, once you learn the system it can create some amazing sounds!
It goes like this:
1. You love the DX7
2. You hate the DX7
3. You love the DX7
So, just give it some time.
