That is insane. The lotteries should be hold responsable for the safety of their winners.

Wow congratz! Good luck for the up coming winners
Congratulation Ms Marcia!!!
All the best to them both...
I'll never understand this thought that ppl need to carry the financial burden of their whole family when they start making a lot of money or hit the lotto. I could see if this was some large extended family that cared and were there for each other, but ain't nobody got time for some cousin from two states over that I hadn't heard from for years. Ppl don'y owe you something just because they have money and you have a grandparent in common.
now everyone is going to be begging her for money because she came on tv
wow! thats a lot of money!
you both truly truly deserve it !!!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS
You have to go to the headquarters to receive your money. Also the lottery company wants to reveal the winner so people know its real which in return forces people to buy more.
congrats Marcia!
Yes, I understand their point of promotion. But who garanties for the safety of those people? This is insane.
Here in Canada what ever you win you get!
I’m next to Win God bless you all
I like her she comes across a little nervous yet nice I wish all her and her guy the best
So quick picks do win! Would be nice to win and travel the world.
$52 millions is before tax. Lottery always tells you the amount before tax when you choose lump sum. In 2012,top tax bracket was 35% and she has to pay Georgia tax which was 6%, so its about 30 millions after all the tax. I'm not sure if she has to pay for unearned income medicare contribution tax which is 3.8% or not. If yes, she received a little less than 30 mills
God bless her incredible life begins
Congrats!!!
Now, if this chick was smart, she would put it into a bond earning 5%, making her around $3.6 million/a and never have to worry about her family again.
Delaware, Kansas, Maryland, North Dakota, and Ohio are the only states that allow you to remain anonymous, however Additional states may allow a trust to be set up and the lottery winnings received in the name of the trust. Thus, you could remain anonymous :)
Thats the cool thing about arizona you dont have to reveal your name when you win state lottery
If i won nobody would know because people and family are crazy.
Your gonna see me on here one day
Hope you enjoy ur wedding God bless
Good for her
I wouldn't want my face on TV AT ALL if I won the lottery. Sharks are gonna come regardless but I wouldn't want them to know what I look like.
All states require your name be given as a matter of public record, which sucks.
Good for her!
IAM HOLDING THIS MEGA MILLIONS CHECK IAM HOLDING THIS POWER BALL CHECK 😅
Doesn't matter, if someone is determined to get that money from either one of them, they'll find a way to get it. This world is full of smart criminals. On the other hand if their relationship is strong, the loot SHOULD make it stronger.
@serratop Exactly. The only time bad stories come out of lottery wins, it involved people knowing. Keep that type of thing silent.
🙏🏾🥰 🎉
You cant ask for all the good without any draw backs, and sadly one of the drawbacks is a loss of privacy.
congrats darling wish you all the best!!
One question: Does it say on the lotery tickets, that in case of winning, you have to go public?
Sweet😎
Wait what is jackspot and what is it in this video? Okay if you get a ticket with a megaplay# and you win the 5 out of 5 but not the megaplay # does that mean you still get to win?
you mean someone other than the midwest won the lottery?
Sadly... This is family for me. When the call came in everyone was overjoyed not of the prospect of "we" are rich but more so someone we know "family" hit the big one. It has been over a year. We have not heard from "family"... "family" changed their number, "family" has a new address, "family" has forgotten about "family"... My only hope and prayer is that You and your Mom have made your dad comfortable during his illness. Peace be with you.
Wow a 72 million dollar winner. Alot of cash.
the yearly payment option sounds better.
I also think, that the safety of the winners is more importent than the promotion for the lottery. In all countries I know lottery, the winners are kept secret, for their safety.
Im NEXT🙏
I'm so jealous.
outstanding happy for you
why whats with the hate dude
I want someone give me six lottery numbers from 1-45.
She’s very cute
Awesome for you!!!
congrats
and i would move to the UK
Congrats 🎈
Why would you tell the whole world you won $72m??? People get kidnapped for shit like that!
Don't have a interview go and spend that or donate it
no... uk lottery isn't taxed.... australian lottery isn't taxed, american lottery is taxed
Go 'Head Girl!!
My wife would hate me if I won cause I'd be helping others left and right its just how I am. She would have to hide the winnings from me lol
Blessed
she has about $30 million after all the taxes, but yeah, it is still a lot of money. Imagine a expert surgeon whose income around $300k. It takes him 100 years homeless with no food to acquire that amount of money.
It isn't a promotion trick. Where do you live? You said Brazil?
I must tell you that laws in the U.S. are different that those in Brazil. If you don't want to go public in these states that REQUIRE you to go public, then you can choose not to, it's just you cannot claim the prize. It isn't a trick, get that through your head. Some states REQUIRE it to ensure the the lottery is actually legit by showing real people winning. It goes against no law here.
You don't win anything until you claim.
one day
NEXT I WON A MEGA LOTTO WINNER
SHE DOESN'T LOOK THAT EXCITED WTF?
There was a biggest texas lotto in 2001;which was entertained on the local news for a few weeks. the news channels were showing people lined up to buy lottery tickets at gas stations or stores. any time i searched to see any information about that ticket, there was none, not even on the news paper films in libraries, not for that amount of jackpot. i think all the information about that ticket also has been deleted. only once i pulled a website as "biggest texas lotto.com";which was errored.
she lucky
Well, if you live in a state that requires you to show up personally to claim publicly, you won't be able to claim. Done.
Some states allow you to remain anonymous, some states will allow you to set up trusts to claim for you, but there are some states, I believe like Georgia, where you CANNOT do either. You must publicly claim the prize. It isn't against privacy law either. You have a choice not to claim, therefore not be publicized.
You either claim, or don't.
They have to in some states. It is to verify to the public that real people actually win.
Is that right....
200,000,000,000,000
U HAVE TO IF NOT GETTIN THAT MONEY ONLY WINNERS UNDER 2 MILLION HAVE THE OPTION NOT TO
yay
OMG in Brazil you wouldn't live very long, unbelievable
some people dont have a choice if somebody was to win in oklahoma they will never be seen or known you dont have to go public and you guys are right dont tell anybody it is way to dangerous if you do make sure you live far away from friends and family before you make it known
The lottery officials of each state clearly state their policies.
The back states: All official MegaMillion tickets purchased from the {State} Lottery Co. are governed by applicable state law, and rules and regulations of the {State} Lottery. By submitting the payslip for processing, the player agrees to abide by the {State} Lottery Rules and Regulations.
What are one of those regulations of some of the states? Stated on lotto corporations websites, the player must come out publicly.
thats what im saying dont you get like only half when you take the lump sum? maybe a little more? id rather get paid out over 20 years that way say you screw up and make some bad impulsive financial decisions the first year, at you get 19 more times to get it right
