First of all, my sympathies to those who've lost their jobs and anyone that's got money or time invested in the product lines. Good to hear the product lines themselves should be profitable so a decent chance of things being picked up by someone else. That being said there's a couple of things that do jump out from my recent experiences with these product lines over the last year or so. First the depth of the product line was verging on the silly. As much as I appreciate the commitment to building enough shuttle types to have 8 different collection boxes I can't imagine there's that much demand for them. Second distribution needs to be looked at. Relatively recently Eaglemoss products started to appear in the likes of HMV and a bit more of that might not be a bad idea to get increased awareness. Even if it's just the hero ships it gets awareness out there and, well, it worked for Funko Pops!
I agree! Especially when they started upsizing everything in the discovery ships. Can’t imagine many people would want to pay 40 quid for an obscure Klingon ship.
The whole appeal of the Starships collection was that you could get THE starship(s) you liked best from whatever TV series or movie you saw them in, rather than having to settle for something more mainstream. It wouldn't have been worth as much if it had been less complete.
Here's hoping that eaglemoss does not go bankrupt, that it just gets rearranged and someone buys/picks it up so that the company, and possibly bring back many of the original workers if they can, and can stay around and keep up the excellent work. It's rare in this day and age to find someone/company/people that truly care about what they are making for others. I've only recently started collecting because I didn't have the money and was quite aggravated that I didn't get all the ships though I did get the one that mattered to me the most... the NX refit. Side note... TC... give him the comments section of this video after a few days... i guarantee it will show the world still has a vested interest in keeping eaglemoss around LOL.
I love my Eaglemoss starships. I was looking forward to the MCRN Donnager when things went sour. I very much hope they're able to resume production at some point.
I have paid literally £1000's on my Eaglemoss Star Ship collection, I've invested over 4 thousand pounds in Eaglemoss collections and my latest being the Enterprise D build, so I'm definitely wanting to complete that!
The only comment I can make is that this seems to be the same problem as other collectors items, in that unless you know about something, you're always going to miss out on release on a collector's item someone might want but isn't aware of the product existing. I'm a casual fan of Star Trek but, I would really like a really cool Enterprise d model but, by the time I heard about Eagle moss, it was already too late the Enterprise d was super expensive and outside my price range. casuals miss out on the most popular pieces and the company misses out their dollars.
I don't know any company that would be insane enough to take over the dumpster fire that was the Enterprise D build up. The kit was a complete disaster. Ill fitting parts, light leaks galore, an incredibly stupid and over engineered lighting system and the whole thing being powered by a stupid amount of batteries rather than having it powered by wall outlet. That thing should have never left the drawing board.
Eaglemoss started out fantastic but it was my experience that it started going downhill about 2-3 years ago and it looks like the issues got progressively worse. It feels like they expanded too quickly into too many different franchises, with their accompanying fees; they faced exploding production costs; and I found that their distribution, quality control, and consumer support at least in the US was increasingly poor. Indeed their customer service was hands down the worst I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. That was the final nail in the coffin in my willingness to participate in their subscription service. I started buying from 3rd parties just to avoid the hassle of interacting with Eaglemoss proper.
Customer support in the US was fine. Any time I got a defective part or model, they just sent me another one. Didn't even ask for the defective one back. What would they do with a defective one, anyway?
What don’t understand is months ago they knew this was going to happen why didn’t they contact us and offer to send us at least a chance to purchase the build up in bulk
Reading between the lines of both this interview and some other things I've seen suggest that there was some shenanigans taking place at the top. Apparently even the general worker and designers were given little to no notice that the financial situation was as bad as it truly was. If the employees were kept in the dark by management why would they tell the customer base?
I'd just say, a lot of us demonstrated our interest in the Enterprise build by subscribing. Should have a pretty good list of customers like me with incomplete builds who would appreciate being able to finish it.
I consider myself lucky in that I got almost every ship I wanted. The only model I feel I missed out on is the Viper Mk 3. I got every Star Trek ship I wanted, every Alien(s) ship I wanted and almost every Galactica model. Sorry for everyone who lost their job and I’m grateful for everything they did.
He seems like a nice guy but he’s being incredibly guarded and economical in what he shares. From what I understand subscribers to building the Enterprise D have faced delays for a while, are unhappy with light-bleeds and the huge amount of batteries needed to power the thing - badly designed and parts out of stock. A shame that isn’t discussed or explained.
Agreed my friend! That was my frustration too… presenting himself as this lovely guy who’s been super unhappy with the way things were… but still guarded and I imagine, for people looking for answers, really unhelpful.
Have been digging for more details on it...but the general feeling is as a build, it requires some advanced modeling techniques to get right and isn't a simple straight build overall...but it is hard to say given the piece meal nature of building it up
That is rough for the people working there. I sincerely hope they can find a new job soon and hopefully in a new enterprise that takes over the license. Their old shop wasn't that modern, running on some jarringly old Magento web shop that did not show accurate stock or promotions nor sending any notifications about the status of the orders. And the shipping boxes were made of thinnest cardboard in the market, combined with a less than stellar shipping partner. But their products were fine for what you paid for and I am happy with what I got for my collection.
Over the last 10 years, the webshop has been revised 4 times and they seemed to get worse. They even stopped sending e email confirmations for the last few months. I still got the DPD ones.
So sad to hear this. But at least they are trying to get someone to at least finish what has already been started, if not continue on. I really like these ships, and would love to have several of them, I just have not had the money to buy any as I have been in a bad financial situation for several years now. And I am glad that at the beginning of the video they first talked about the employees! As fan we see this as a possible end to something we love, and treasure. But for many of the people that worked for Eaglemoss, this is the end to their livelihood. As someone that has been in and out of jobs since having a major health crisis in 2012, I know how that feels. It’s not a good feeling not knowing how you will buy food, pay the bills, or even be able to stay in your home. My heart goes out to all the workers that have been affected by this. And finally I’d love to know what was the final star that broke the camel’s back so to say?? I wonder, this is just speculation, if it was financial over extension, or I wont say bad/poor, but maybe mis steps in managment? I was surprised when the guest said that CBS was completely blindsided, and not told there was a problem till very late in the process. That’s not good to keep one of what I am sure was Eaglemoss’ largest customers in the dark about the company possibly going under. That’s not a good business practice, and kind of what makes me wonder about the way things were being managed. Maybe they were afraid to tell anyone, thought people would loss faith, and abandon them? Business is tricky even at the best of times. I just hope the workers find new jobs, those with unfinished models get them finished, and that at the least planes that were in the works come to completion. Beyond that, maybe we will get someone that either takes over Eaglemoss to raise it from the ashes, or to take over that mantle, and make new ships. Only time will tell.
Sad to hear about Eaglemoss and all those who lost their jobs and are out of pocket. I get the feeling Eaglemoss were spread a little too thin, and had way too many lines outside of the Star Trek and sci-fi genres. Baking , crochet/embroidery, dc/marvel, doctor who, die cast car club, wooden titanic build-up etc.
Such a bummer, I hadn't heard of this until now. I'd just thought there were some shipping problems as they were struggling to provide the booklets that came with them and then they stopped.
I hope things work out. I was eagerly awaiting the XL Stargazer. I was going to even ask for an XL Enterprise-F. Then I was waiting for the Discovery 32nd Century ships.
@@mchorey I got all three of the regular size. I do favor the Star Trek Online colors (black and white) over the gray one. I didn’t think I’d like the Yorktown variant but it’s really grown on me. I’d like that one too.
There was already photos and a prototype of the XL Stargazer from TNG. It should still be possible to put that into production. I think he was talking about the Stargazer from Picard. I wanted that XL Borg cube and looks like that is not happening as there has been no photo's or prototypes for it.
"A lot of what was going on was changing a lot and I don't want to into that." This is the stuff we would like to know. What happened these last 2 or 3 years? Why did they stop filling subscribers orders but continued to sell the same thing online? So many promises unfulfilled. I'm glad they were shut down.
I was pretty bummed about this because I own roughly 50 or so models (mostly Star Trek) from Eaglemoss and still had several in my wishlist/watchlist. I mean they just barely started releasing the StarGate line and I had been waiting forever on that one and am now kicking myself that I didn't buy what little had come out before they went under. As many as I own though I assume I'm like most that the models weren't exactly top of mind and a huge priority. I honestly just got one or two here and there over the course of several years whenever I'd happen to remember it and had a few extra dollars to spend....which I have to assume was a core issue. Time will tell.
Good interview. I’m more concerned about the Doctor Who figurine range, and hope that continues! The Star Trek range is great too, but money is tight these days. If Eaglemoss do continue in some form, I hope they consider listening to the fans a bit more about what they want to purchase. My own experience was that they didn’t. Fingers crossed for them.
I hope Mr Robinson and the rest of the Eaglemoss employees find fulfilling jobs and that they are successful in what ever they do. How ever i think he's holding on to his optimism a little to tightly. I don't know what the Eaglemoss services and customer support were like in the UK and EU. But here in the states saying how bad it was with out using profanity is nearly impossible. As for the supply chain issues and global recession i dont see them easing up any time in the next year or two. Honestly things look to just be getting worse. I can't see some company coming along and spending the kinda money it would take to restart the lines and renew the licenses when things look as shaky as they do globally.
Having been using the since 2012, I noticed they just grew bigger and bigger with more collections over the last 5 years or so. It sounded like they wanted someone to buy them out for years, Stock issues has been happening most of this year and they stopped paying the Factories from March. They should have done something earlier before they were £30 Million in debt.
I feel so sorry for people like Ben, who have been hard working, & being so open & honest. EM have treated all the employees & customers very badly. I do hope that someone takes on the incomplete builds & employs ben in some form. I am currently half way through Ecto 1, & if someone can take over the rest of the build, & was going to produce Ecto1:2 & Ecto 1 from afterlife, I would certaily sing up for them, no matter what the cost, as I am an avid collector of everything Ghostbusters.
Eaglemoss's shut down is a major loss for any Sci Fi fan.... They had just started releasing Stargate and Expanse models and I was looking forward to getting those too as it is impossible to get Stargate ship models.
Wow. I am very happy to have heard this. They should do fewer products (although I really wanted an XL Steamrunner and Sabre) But I did not know how much they invested in an initial mold and that they tried to do every ship.
From what I understand they also had the issue of the higher ups in the company not listening to the modelers and what not, higher ups wanting stuff way too fast and the people in the lower positions trying to make sure that the product they were making was quality. Not to mention how fast they wanted to move on a number of other things like newer models and the like.
They definitely grew too big with way too many collections. Who on earth thought it was good to have a Beatles collection? They should have just stuck with Trek, Doctor Who, Marvel and BSG.
@@nicholasgarratt5646 yeah when they began doing Space 1999 I realized the overreach was precarious. (Considering there were already 1999 products coming from elsewhere)
I'm on issue 51 of the Enterprise D, I really hope someone can take over, I'd be willing to pay out for the entire rest of the build in one go just to get the parts, they must have stock of this somewhere! I'm going to keep my fingers crossed
I was not angry about them going into administration but i was so sad, i had been collecting them since i took out a subscription and collected all the 180 ships which took me 7 years to collect. looking back i think it was a good price for what we had compared to when they did the ships bigger and cost 3 to 4 times as much but understand prices go up and the detail would be better, but was to expensive for me as i had not got that amount of money. i did have all the specials that were sent out and i even collected the XL versions only when they were on offer normally 3 for 2 as well as the bonus ones to. i also collected the discovery ships but from eBay as some one sold 18 of them and i got a great price for them and collected the ones that i did not have got of Eaglemoss but still 6 short. collected the comic books to and found out that there would be 20 short which i was disappointed but again still great to have. unfortunately i would have like to have had the ship to build but i was worried that if the company got halfway though the run and sales dropped of like the comic books did, having half a ship would be useless and money wasted, so i decided not to go ahead with it and i am please for myself that i did not but sad for the ones that did, it is alright to miss a ship or even a comic but half a ship is no use to anyone. just wish i had the space to have all my eaglemoss ships on show as they do look awesome but still on a shelf in there boxes but when i have seen them displayed buy others they are awesome. over all i was very pleased with the star trek ships and my nephew was pleased with his doctor who collection, so i do hope things work out with someone picking it up.
I never got into the piece-by-piece models (I'm too pessimistic to take the chance), but it was actually the shift to XL models that did me in as a subscriber - didn't matter what obscure little weirdo ship they picked for the original Official Starship Collection each issue, I was okay staying signed up, but the price (and the amount of space needed to display) of the big Discovery/Picard/etc. models made that impossible. I assume the big models work out more profitable up-front to produce, but I do wonder how many like me switched from 'all of them, whatever' to 'just the ones I like', and the effect that had on subscriber numbers long-term.
I hope all the brands continue with the collections but for me I adore the Doctor Who and Star Trek lines the most. I know folk love the cars too! The Delorean, the Ecto-1 and Enterprise D.
While I feel bad for all the staff who lost jobs, I'm so pissed off that I'm stuck with 2/3 of a large Enterprise D model and a Blood and Chrome Galactica pre-order that I'll never see. Can't see a new company continuing the Enterprise from pack 78.
There's a chance someone will pick up the Enterprise. For a start the tooling is already done, there's a captive customer base standing by with half-finished models so yeah... it's possible.
Keep pumping out Star Trek merch from pre 2009 and I'll keep buying it but I'm not touching post 2009 Trek stuff with somebody else's very long bargepole.
Something that should be considered is Star Trek Online ships. There are hundreds of ships that could be created. Given many of them are Federation; that ight help some companies see created/taking Eaglemoss's Die-cast line as profitable a most people love UFP ships.
Its sad that a star trek modeling and collecting company died but i dont feel bad for a company who sels a product and collects the money all the while knowing they cant ship the product. as they did to me and my brother (Both of us purchased the BIG Enterprise D model Kits).
I guess, I was truly lucky to get the FULL collection of the Battlestar Galactica replica models. All 25 replica/models plus variances (Colonial Vipers) also special editions. I spent money true but in 4 months I had the FULL BSG collection. I like to share this per say with all of you because it’s important. I knew something was up, when I tried to purchase multiple replica models at one time from the United States Eaglemoss division. I was told by the customer service that it was impossible to do such. I reply Why? We (Eaglemoss) just don’t do that and we are not going to start doing it. Each model or subscription parts comes out every month or so from our China manufacture and it would be unfair to other collectors, who wish to have certain models they want to add to their collections. We hope you can understand this reason and why we don’t encourage or offer such to our customers or collectors. I was shocked and stunned by this statement because I thought the idea of a company was to make money willingly from someone, who was willing to give it to Eaglemoss for multiple orders. It totally baffled me to the point I got mad about it. I decided right then in December of 2021 to get as many Battlestar Galactica replicas/models as fast as humanly possible in a attempt to have the whole collection including special models and one of a kind or unique models offered by Eaglemoss for this BSG line of collectibles. I went to many websites and individual sellers, who was selling their models and I went to local and out of state Comic / Fantasy stores too. I even found a few of my BSG replicas or models at Fan Expos and Comic Cons for sell by some vendors at these events. Call it luck if you believe in such but I was able to do the impossible, which I was told it couldn’t be done straight from USA customer service of Eaglemoss. Now, if I can do it so can many of you if you decide to do it. Don’t over pay anything that you are not custom to do. I stay pretty much paying the fair market value on most BSG replicas or models just like you could order them online. Heck, some models were below market value that help me even further to completing the whole collection. Yes, there was a handful of replicas that cost me some big bucks (variant vipers) but they came with certificates of limited run as promised by Eaglemoss also my wife, for my birthday (January 2022) got me the BSG books (as the ships of the fleet) only 2 of them but it was very sweet of her to do so. All that said, Don’t give up hope on your replicas/models that you have or still building from those Subscriptions that Eaglemoss was selling to you. I sense that either them or a new company will take over and complete what Eaglemoss had started. I totally agree with all of you in some sort or fashion but don’t let this even destroy your ambitions or goals. I was patient and willing in some cases to pay a little extra for my replica/models but as stated above I never went beyond my means or my wallet.
I now regret not plunking down some money in years past whenever I got the itch to get a model... However I must say that I realized there was a problem at eagle moss when they advertised a coupon for ships, with 3 particular ships shown on the coupon, and the fine print forbade using the coupon on the ships shown on the coupon.... customer service was unhelpful and I felt tricked and let them know they just lost out on a sale. I have also wanted to buy the original TNG stargazer, but noticed their model was incorrect (saucer section too thin). Been waiting for them to fix it and they never had. That one ship left me wondering what else was inaccurate on the other models that I just hadn't noticed...
I hate it for all the people who lost their job. Hopefully they can rebound easily. Also all the people who were doing the builds, really hope a buyer steps in. I only bought the die-cast ships. Of the models already out, I got almost every ship I wanted from Star Trek, the Orville, Battlestar Galactica, the Expanse and Stargate. The only ship I didn't get was the BC-304 Daedalus. My all time favorite ship in all of sci-fi. I'm damn near heartbroken. Let me stop. I am heartbroken 😫
Dont get me wrong, I do enjoy the larger models, I have several, but I think the entirety of the star trek line should have been made in the standard size, with xls being reserved for things that were actually larger, i.e. star bases, space stations, the Borg, the D'Deredex, and the Voth. I would also love to see a continuation of the online ships. As far as Stargate, I had been waiting years for them to acquire this license, and to only make it 3 ships in is painful, there are dozens that could be done. And a Destiny build similar to the Enterprise D would have been a dream come true. Best of luck keeping the collections alive, we support your efforts.
You might want to put the guest's Twitter addy into the video description, or a pinned comment -- considering that he mentioned his Twitter 3-4 times during the interview .
Sucks most were one scale and then Discovery, Picard and Lower Decks were a size larger. Odd considering the near 100 in a scale and then larger for Cerritos etc.
I am wondering how much the customer service issues at the online shops contributed to the downfall of EM/HC. I always had to go to third party sites like amazon to order my ships b/c of these issues and the longer delivery times!
Dude? You too? I legit had the worst customer service experience ever dealing with Eaglemoss. I actually had one representative tell me that the previous person I talked to was lying to my face. In another instance I got into a yelling match with a representative for 10 min until we sorted the problem (which was a mistake in their computer inventory system).
ya i want some to pick these collections up i bought the TITANIC BUILD and i am only up to step 7 i chose this over the metal one do to being cheaper in price just got started have not started building yet i bought the OCCRE wooden TITANIC to practice on before starting the build the EAGLE MOSS build !!.
I feel sorry for the ones with incomplete models. I myself jump in on $150.00 NZD odd dollars' worth of figurines thinking they were having a sale and was selling them cheaper than normal. only to find out 2 days' time they were in trouble. So many people got caught out.
Right now, Funhome has the right for the Enterprise D and you can start where ever you were left off but the model had many issues like light likes, panels that don't alaine correctly and the use of coin batteries instead of just plugging it on the wall.
I am up to issue 78 of the Star Trek Enterprise D build. I hope that someone will come on board to get the build projects completed. The fan base needs to get behind this project. I couldn't afford to purchase a completed ship but, the build project did fit into my retirement budget. This video has given me hope. Someone PLEASE HELP!
I contacted PCT. The company that makes many parts for the build ups. They gave me some information, that some builds will continue. Vid on my channel.
Goddammit...I just find out about this today and it would've totally been something I'd subscribe to =( After reading up all the stuff...So sorry this happened to current subscribers =( Yeah sucks having an unfinished model... I've been debating for the longest time whether or not to visit this older Enterprise D model that came with fiber optics and lights...I'm envious that the people that subbed to this even got a taste of this experience tho =D Hope something pulls through, somehow
Is it possible to order back copies with the administrators? I'm missing some the star trek graphic novels. Vols 88-91 & 96-100. Just found out there were vols 101-140
I ordered 4, only got 1 and it took almost 6 months even to get that. Even before Eaglemoss UK started facing disruptions, their warehouse in Melbourne was **REALLY** poorly run. If you ordered, say, 4 ships and three of them were in, the order wouldn't get sent until the fourth ship became available to ship. And if in that time, one of the other ship you'd ordered was suddenly not available, your order would be held until *that* other ship became available again. They used to be really efficient and prompt with their orders, sending what was available, etc, then overnight in 2018 or 2019 (can't exactly remember, it was a long time ago) they went from sending orders inside of a fortnight, to between 3-5 months, but only if you chased after your order. And for the record, you weren't missing much with the Borg Voyager. It has a little bit of Borg texturing on the topside and nowhere else. No Borg spikes or the such anywhere else. It's like an old-school doughnut-- icing on top.
if eaglemoss is dead, dead, then what we need is someone to 3d scan the outer hull parts, then we could 3d print the missing bits to atleast complete the outer hull.
New Star Trek like discovery and strange new worlds are widely disliked by the majority of trekkers. It’s chased a lot of folks away from the franchise. If Eaglemoss returns in some capacity, they should actually raise their prices a bit, and focus on the older series. These models routinely sell on eBay for many times the original price. Some larger ships would also do fairly well, maybe an extra extra large version.
It went wrong when subscribers starting being taken for granted, when the online store had stock weeks and months before subscribers back in 2020 I could of told you this would happen, people unsubscribed and bulk purchased when items went into sale. Should never of turned ya back on subscribers. Sorry to say it and I have every single model you released so I am a fan, but that’s the truth.
I loved the eaglemoss ships but I absolutely HATED that they really soaked us subscribers with the shuttles and transports with 10 or so of those in between the ships we actually wanted. Took a bit for me to realize at the time I could just by the ones I want.
Eagle's first mistake was wanting to make Star Trek stuff when the Kelvin timeline came out. Then with the TV Discovery and Picard could they not see the writing on the wall? The Enterprise D came to TV in 1984... and that's your biggest draw in 2022? It would be one thing if the show was gone, but when the newest content isn't selling product, that's not a model line you should be involved with.
I am one of the unlucky ones that has a half-built Enterprise D, and I am pissed about the lack of comunication. You should have spoke up a lot sooner, shame on you. CBS should never have licensed a flagship franchise to a rinkydink UK company. You can take your awful Doctor Who models and shove them. >:(
Its such a big shame. this was, in my opinion, part of why new trek was brought back, we had people that had interests and it was growing again. The one thing I hope they do is just make a standard size model series, no XL ones anymore, Smaller, Cheaper and more of them available so people can actually buy them and get their hands on them. go for the original scale and keep that as the collection, make them well and we'll buy them.
Full scale Ent D via new business owners - sorry I don’t think so if there have been enough ongoing interest and customers EM would still be with us - so sad so bad - just purchased an Etn NX refit - it’s superb so I’m not here dissing EM nor it’s many fans 😵
The cost of the models the delays and lack of accuracy and detail is what turned me away from the series that simple. Lack of Romulan ships from th4 series and inaccurate information on those ships, Lack of detail as i stated before where i could see absolutely plain as day inaccuracy of the model itself nacelles never being straight broken models that where shipped, the complete delay of getting models to those that actually bought theme in their hands in the time that was sated. Those where the top reasons why I didn't buy any and didn't want the fact you had to subscribe to a yearlong they send you whatever ships even ships you didn't want at all. If someone does pick up the company and get things going, I won't be doing business with you till what i stated above is actually fixed addressed and corrected that simple.
I pre-ordered the Blood and Chrome Galactica model over a year ago, been contacting eaglemoss about it, but never received a satisfactory answer. Too long in the past to claim back now. So that's cash I'll never see again.
Not from them. Ben recently even posted to Twitter that people should contact Paypal or their bank to see if they can get the money back. Apparently the funds Eaglemoss has is going to to be tied up in bankruptcy and individual customer accounts will be far down on the list of creditors.
@@TrekCentral You might be surprised, at the size of some co-ops. There's a Econ Prof on here Richard Wolff whose main thing is co-ops. The main suggestion I'd have is make an original model that you sell for the crowd fund so it's just a cool ship not from anything and use that as evidence to show investors and the rights holders.
Absolutely awful that all the employees are suffering the end results from a company that was always horribly ran. From the website to customer service to fulfillment, the powers that be never gave their employees what they needed to be the quality company they should've been but never was. Best wishes to those who must now find work.
That sounds just like how Masei operates. ordering directly from them (instead of going through a reseller) is one big headache and many times they won't even ship the items!
I would of thought someone would of bought them out all that money they made world wide I bought them every fortnight I only for a short time I've a few tho
Huge amount of respect for Ben. Whatever happens, I hope he carries on working with or on Star Trek product lines

I agree! Especially when they started upsizing everything in the discovery ships. Can’t imagine many people would want to pay 40 quid for an obscure Klingon ship.
That’s very true. I think they had far too many licenses being made.
The whole appeal of the Starships collection was that you could get THE starship(s) you liked best from whatever TV series or movie you saw them in, rather than having to settle for something more mainstream. It wouldn't have been worth as much if it had been less complete.

I love my Eaglemoss starships. I was looking forward to the MCRN Donnager when things went sour. I very much hope they're able to resume production at some point.
He seems positive about the situation. I have half an Ecto 1 sitting, wrapped in my closet awaiting someone to pick it up.

That’s very true. If QC was far better and customer services was good I’d have jumped in on the part works.
Customer support in the US was fine. Any time I got a defective part or model, they just sent me another one. Didn't even ask for the defective one back. What would they do with a defective one, anyway?
@deusexaethera Me too, never had an issue. I was always told I could keep the damaged one.
He did say that the builds were profitable part of the business so eventually we will probably get to finish
He says he was frustrated not being able to speak out, but didn't share anything particularly meaningful in this video.
Agreed my friend! That was my frustration too… presenting himself as this lovely guy who’s been super unhappy with the way things were… but still guarded and I imagine, for people looking for answers, really unhelpful.
FYI, light bleeds can be fixed with adhesive aluminum tape from the auto parts store. It sticks well, conforms well, and is easy to trim.
Have been digging for more details on it...but the general feeling is as a build, it requires some advanced modeling techniques to get right and isn't a simple straight build overall...but it is hard to say given the piece meal nature of building it up
$2,000 dollar junk pile.
I hope everything gets back to normal and back on track, and any company that does will be better off hiring Ben for sure!
Doctor who started 1 weeek after Star Trek and was actually their most profitable collection. I agree with their other stuff like knitting, beatles
I would love to get my hands on the Daedalus and Blood and chromes Galactica! Raging that I didn't have the money for these things.
Such a bummer, I hadn't heard of this until now. I'd just thought there were some shipping problems as they were struggling to provide the booklets that came with them and then they stopped.
I'm on issue 12 of the enterprise D build Hopefully all will be well and we can get back to building
I hope things work out. I was eagerly awaiting the XL Stargazer. I was going to even ask for an XL Enterprise-F. Then I was waiting for the Discovery 32nd Century ships.
Same! I want an enterprise f xl
"A lot of what was going on was changing a lot and I don't want to into that."
This is the stuff we would like to know. What happened these last 2 or 3 years? Why did they stop filling subscribers orders but continued to sell the same thing online? So many promises unfulfilled. I'm glad they were shut down.
I hope the Optimism turns into a return of the collection, I was not only keen to continue my collection but also so excited for the ‘Serenity’
So sorry to hear this.
I had an Eaglemoss account and while they were great models the customer service and customer satisfaction aspect was quite poor
I think that would be an area of the business were screwed over by budgeting cuts.
Great interview, So desperate to finish my Enterprise D build🙂
Congratulations on 95 subs here's to more to come 👏 👍
Cheers Dean!

@@TrekCentral thank you jack
I look at those prices compared to now😢
While I feel bad for all the staff who lost jobs, I'm so pissed off that I'm stuck with 2/3 of a large Enterprise D model and a Blood and Chrome Galactica pre-order that I'll never see.
Man I wish someone would do Babylon 5
Me too. Even a part build of the station, a much smaller say 2 foot long one with say a years build.
Let’s face it there’s been radio silence from eaglemoss since February!!!
Funko should pick up Eaglemoss since there is a huge collectors market for the product. They already picked up Loungefly and Mondo.
@@jamesrogers1554 I hope the next company that comes along does better with customer service than EM/HC did!
ya i want some to pick these collections up i bought the TITANIC BUILD and i am only up to step 7 i chose this over the metal one do to being cheaper in price just got started have not started building yet i bought the OCCRE wooden TITANIC to practice on before starting the build the EAGLE MOSS build !!.
QMx Should pick them up.
I would like to say that my sympathies to those who've lost their jobs.
I wanted to pick up The Orville and it looks like it's gone for good now.
I feel sorry for the ones with incomplete models. I myself jump in on $150.00 NZD odd dollars' worth of figurines thinking they were having a sale and was selling them cheaper than normal.
only to find out 2 days' time they were in trouble. So many people got caught out.
to name some few is sad i may never be able to get an xl edition uss prometheus and titan or an xl stargazer or enterprise d dreadnought
I am only missing 4 small Star Trek models. I am trying to find everywhere seem like inventory is almost gone and prices have soared !
Which ones? I might be able to help you track them down
Right now, Funhome has the right for the Enterprise D and you can start where ever you were left off but the model had many issues like light likes, panels that don't alaine correctly and the use of coin batteries instead of just plugging it on the wall.
Goddammit...I just find out about this today and it would've totally been something I'd subscribe to =(
After reading up all the stuff...So sorry this happened to current subscribers =( Yeah sucks having an unfinished model...
So how am I supposed to finish the kit I got from them now??? I don't have the whole kit ?like to know where I can get the rest of and how
Those headphones are HUGE oml
I so wish I could have gotten my hands on the Assimilated Voyager model...
Guess I'll never have that large SGU Destiny as I dreamed of.
How can they do this? I have sunk 1000 dollars in te ecto and now I'm stuck with half a freaking car
I miss the stargate ships... If I could help I would, how could I help?
Sad news. Cheers jack
I would pay whatever to finish my ecto
if eaglemoss is dead, dead, then what we need is someone to 3d scan the outer hull parts, then we could 3d print the missing bits to atleast complete the outer hull.
I had 35 ships saved to buy
What about us that have 100's into half built kits?
Is this the reason why I didn’t receive my products after paying over £300 ?
Most likely :/
- Jack
Contact your bank and see if you can get it refunded. Paypal has a 180 day limit so can go as far as 6 months.
Ouch. I only got stung for £50 in June.
There are top tier ships can always sell and be big hits.
Any updates?
DAMN.....
Either those are giant ear phones or.....
Glad I got my Promelian Battlecruiser before it happened.
This is valuable as a high quality piece. Each one is faithfully reproduced to the highest acceptance! Good Luck Cheers
Better question, will we be getting refunds for any ships we ordered and still haven't received.
No. Contact your bank or Paypal if you used them.
I pre-ordered the Blood and Chrome Galactica model over a year ago, been contacting eaglemoss about it, but never received a satisfactory answer. Too long in the past to claim back now. So that's cash I'll never see again.
I'm just annoyed that they still had the pre-orders going on Serenity and didn't even hint at any kind of issues. Seems a bit scummy to me.
Not from them. Ben recently even posted to Twitter that people should contact Paypal or their bank to see if they can get the money back. Apparently the funds Eaglemoss has is going to to be tied up in bankruptcy and individual customer accounts will be far down on the list of creditors.
Get all the workers together set up a co-op and crowd fund your company while looking for capital?
Sadly with the way the world works, I don’t think that would work :/
- Jack
These guys NEW thay were in deep trouble YET STILL TOOK the 💰 from people shameless cash grab up to the last minute
Ask him where my money or my Stargazer XL is 🤬 they didnt even react to my mails after they collapsed
I would of thought someone would of bought them out all that money they made world wide I bought them every fortnight I only for a short time I've a few tho
Too bad we can't just get a whole bunch of fans together to put together some sort of company and purchase Eaglemoss
They are dead. Now being broken up for iP and stock.
Someone tweet to Elon Musk, he loves starships. (half not kidding)
i hope they don't fold.
They already did on 12 July. Eaglemoss is dead and can only carry on by other people buying their assets.
