I love the concept, I just wished that worked for me in L.A. The traffic and hills here drink fuel and battery like nobody's business.

Thank you for the video! Just bought a 2021 530e Xdrive. When you put in the battery control mode, I'm assuming you set it to be 100%?

I don’t have a PHEV so I need some help here. I have a ‘24 Accord Hybrid Touring and can squeeze about 63mpg with gentle driving in mixed city/hwy. Is the BMW 530e that efficient on regen that you can get a 1:1 ratio of miles driven to miles added in electric mode in city? What is your highway speed? (I max out at 65). Do you use cruise control or adjust speed to terrain? And with proper regen are you able to go much longer periods on battery without plugging in? Sounds like you could literally keep a battery charge without ever using a cord. Just curious, I may swap my Accord for a 530e as EV now really appeals to me after buying a Nissan Ariya.

Its a plugin so you'll maybe 40 more a month on your electric bill and you get 15 daily miles of EV driving. Takes 3 hours to fully charge. Without the EV driving you get 33 mpg Hybrid mode. Best driving practices. Switch to Battery control and drive in hybrid mode to your commute. Then on the way home exhaust the battery. 50mpg on a 40 Mile trip. I fill up every other week for 10 gallons of 89 fuel. 44$. Total monthly bill in gas/electric $120.
