    Stovie 😉
Actually I believe mica is a mineral and comes out of the ground. They actually slice it very thin to use for those windows and in electronics as an insulator.. I think. It also is sold in different thickness, and degrees of clear to opaque and everything in between for lamp shades, and art stuff.

mica is not a plastic...it is found in the ground, in sheets; it is a mineral.

Just bought one. Just something about old stuff that has character compared to new. Hopefully use it for Dutch oven slow cooking.

it's a Beatrice #33 stove, isn't it? if you had chosen could you have made it burn hotter and faster by raising the wick higher? 15 mins on 2 cups of water isn't bad. have you tried skillet cooking anything on it like bacon and eggs (frying anything?)? i wonder how well it skillet cooks a b-fast or dinner? thank you again!

hi, hope you're felling better from the gout? i re-watched this video again - it's good! did you soak this stove in vinegar to clean it up? i don't see any rust on it? it's cast iron isn't it? is the fuel tank cast iron? is the liquid paraffin expensive and is it hard to find? i see the Beatice stoves are made in England! that's cool! also, can you find and buy the wicks easy? what about parts for it????... can you find them and but them easily? i'm intersted in your stove a lot and i've been looking on ebay at them. i might buy one? can you cook indoors with the paraffin fuel? does it smoke when burning? i read that some people heat bathrooms with them.... it won't work to heat a small bathroom sized room? thank you

I didn’t clean it with anything just wiped it down with a clean duster. My grandad was meticulous about keeping everything clean I couldn’t remember how warm the garage was but I do remember it being a wood garage and the inside walls had cardboard boxes flattened and tacked to the side walls and doors and a big wooden bench at the front The only thing I replaced was the wick as the one in there was only about 2cm in length
