Hello Linda, just came across your video today and how joyful am I... honestly! I'm Sri lankan and live in Germany. My garden is full of merrygolds and all my friends tell me that I should make cream, which is good for aging skin, and so I've found you ❤️❤️❤️ thank you for sharing your lovely knowledge with us.im definitely trying this out in the next couple of days.😘😘😘
I'm going to try this with coconut oil rather than the grape seed oil. Also, I'm going to use shredded bees wax rather than the emulsifying wax, because i already have some bees wax. I'll put the preserving oils in the batch after it's cooled down most of the way. It makes sense that the heat would ruin the preservative values of those oils. I don't have a mixing wand, so I'll have to use my blender for this. I wonder what setting would be best. I'll figure it out. I'm making this for a horse because he has "sweet itch" and I heard Canedula cream would help for that.
Linda, love your videos, but, the preservative and the vitamin E, should always be added in the last stages, when the cream is cooled, adding as you have, would destroy the vitamin E, and make the preservative less effective.
julieann eden Thanks Julie for this information. Both preservative 12 and vitamin E are being used in the cream as preservatives and seem to have worked OK. But I take your point. Linda.
Hi, And many thanks for your video upload. I have very VERY dry skin with eczema and look forward to trying this. I have bought stuff that says it is kind and painless only to find alcohol was used as an ingredient which I can’t tolerate. Take care, love what I have seen of your kitchen, mrbluenun
i love your videos...i need to make mosquito repellent marigold cream for my school project so i have a question if this can also act as a mosquito repellent as marigold naturally repels insects
Thank you very much for your informative videos, Linda. However, could you please clarify about the marigold flowers? There can be some confusion here in the USA about what kind of flower is called a marigold. What you are using look like calendula or what we might call "pot marigold." But what is generally called a marigold here is in the tagetes family. I do not think viewers who use tagetes flowers to make their skin cream would be very satisfied with the results.
Hi, Linda. Thank for the informative video. Can I use the rose water to replace the 70 ml distilled water or replace a portion of it (like 35 rose water :35 distilled water) so as to make it up to 70 ml? Thanks for your advice
+Nia Marie Yes, you can use a hand held blender (which is the same as Liquidiser ). For a smaller batch like 100ml, you can even use a hand whisk, just continue to whisk until it emulsify. Not difficult. 100ml of facial cream will last you many months. Hope this is helpful.
Thank you very much This information. I'm form Sri Lanka. Again thank you.
