I remember being tabbed out to excess at Megadog in the early 90's to Eatstatic and this very track. And at 2:12 on the track I remember everyone going utterly mental...apart from me, as I'd collapsed on the dance floor. No one batted an eye lid and I had to crawl on my hands and knees through everyones legs to a corridor and sat on a chair massaging my cramping leg...which incidently was dissapearing in front of my very eyes through a beautiful display of fractels. Oh the memories
sounded great to me 20 year ago and having keep my ears and mind open to a huge volume of music since this still sounds very fresh and exciting compared to so many artists whose work is lauded, but thats just my opinion
I remember this being the soundtrack to the game conquest earth, 15 years ago. Stuck with me ever since. I'm surprised it doesn't sound dated at all nowadays.
have same kind of memories from megadog, anyone remember Acid Daze in finsbury park, not far from george ropey pub, double microdots and mushrooms, pure sheng!!!
@sheltech12 Hmm, hate to say it mate, but the 'mindless percussion' is pretty much the point of techno! it's a bit like criticising heavy metal for having guitars and being loud.
Evolve ? - This tune is almost 16 years old. It's bands (and sound) like this that helped shape dance culture. You needed to be a bit creative back in the day with your 'minimal' equipment. - No such thing as an affordable PC back then. A single MegaByte (1MB) was top of the range.
this robotic techno shit is driving me crazy. 'Dune Rider' is great, and therec are other songs here and there that are tasteful ,but fuuuuuuck, 99% of techno/trance irritates me because of the mindless percussion. somebody has to say it . there is great potential for psych music but please evolve past this level, pleeeease .
