it is a connection, because familiar RUINS and beneath the RUINS, and the lava door thingy at start of beneath end of familiar, yeah... i also think from the first short that when the medium elevator flooded that the lava-going-down in beneath is the medium elevator and how it floods then turns to lava in familiar ruins :3
