What a pretty chest of drawers for Amayah. I liked the color. Finish the fireplace 1st. I'm really excited to see that. The other projects you have in mind are great too. But the fireplace has my vote.

I think so too...personally, I would use some of the gold rub-on paste to very lightly accentuate the scroll work and the moulding. I think it would "pop" it.
I told my husband how much I love Agreeable Gray. We have now painted all 4 bathrooms, a hallway and getting ready to paint 2 more rooms that color. I told him I saw it on a youtuber's channel I watch 😁 he loves it. And it definitely doesn't look too gray. Kind of taupe colored in some rooms with lighting

when using a lighter paint color on wood pieces, you must seal the piece first with a shellac or oil based product. Spray paint will do that, so on this pink dresser you shouldn't have bleed through which is the wood tannins that are pulled out with topcoats. If you are painting something dark like black, you won't see the yellowing. On the table you did, the top coat was pulling out the wood tannins. I personally use clear shellac spraypaint on my pieces after all the sanding and prepwork, and just before laying down paint. Any of the primers work as long as they have shellac or are oil based. And using them in spraycans instead of brushing them on is a lifesaver because there is no cleanup. Also to note, if you get a piece that you later discover smells bad like cigarette smoke or something, you can clean it real good inside and out, let it dry, then spray a layer or two of the clear shellac on every surface inside and out, and it will seal the wood and no more smells. The dresser is beautiful! :)
@@cole2diamonds if you are going to refinish a wood piece to a stain, you don't have to worry about the yellowing from tannins. The wood stain will take care of that. It's only with light painted pieces that you must seal that wood to keep your paint from getting yellow stains. Nothing worse than painting something a beautiful white to come back in an hour to yellow spots all over. :(
@@ima40schic Gotcha, thnx!! (That's probably a dumb question, but I'm terrible at this!! Like, really soo bad.) Just finished re-doing my son's dressor, which was supposed to be a black paint & wood grain look, and I flubbed it up so bad!... It was MDF wood and a veneer board, I think, thing on top and it turned out horrible. The paint used for the base of the drawers (the "wood grain" part) was a Waverly chalk paint (can't remember the name of the color; all most "normal" people used white!) in like a mushroom/grey-brown color and I added a dark-walnut penetrating stain on top (I know, now, Ishould've used a gel stain)- well, it turned into this muddy color. I hate it right now. Might try to redo it later, though, but also probably not - I'm horrible at this!. (LOL) I did see this "Moould X" & "CrudCutter" stuff, that this other RUclipsr I watch has used, but she's from Ireland, so idunno if that's even an option of a product to use or if there's something like it in America, but maybe that'd help... I usually only ever use Windex to clean my pieces. Ugh - dang it! 😢

I have a “Scandinavian pink” chalk paint to re-paint my daughter’s dresser. I’ve had it for almost a year, but haven’t been motivated to use it. Your dresser came out so beautifully, I am inspired! Also, that red top is your color! It really is so flattering on you. Gorgeous.
I think the mirror would look great in gold. My husband uses the polycrylic you do and found that using brown paper ( like paper bag or craft paper) between coats to sand with gives a nice smooth finish.
