Sir, the discussion is about Chinese perception of India through ages. In the 50s, Chinese economy and India's was insignificant but China had a hegemonic nature for ever. It occupied Tibet, South Mangolia, East Turkmenistan, Aksai Chin and now Hong Kong and Taiwan. It didn't expect resistance from India on Galwan,Dokhlam and Tawang. Now, it's in a Catch 22 situation of withdrawing and losing face OR holding ground and losing business. Meanwhile, it's JF17s are not battle tested, submarines are failing, Missiles are misfiring and on the other hand, India is having tremendous success with Tejas,Bhramos and other missile systems and huge success in Red Sea Operations and corresponding Chinese failure. Regarding Army soldiers, each soldier is supporting 4 parents and 8 grandparents and morally unwilling to fight,as Chinese society is also socially well knit. Youngsters are not spending due to poor economy and realty and not marrying due to unemployment.

China respects strength and treats efforts to earn goodwill as a weakness to be exploited. To gain China's respect and acceptable behavior there is only one way- grow strong militarily and economically.
What will happen if China dramatically support India to be permanent member of UNSC, if nothing else purely as a (return) gesture (for historical blunder of Nehru offering it to them in the past) ?
