STILLWATER STONKERS - Fly Fishing New Zealand

Darren and I pick up some magnificent brown and rainbow trout in a New Zealand high country lake. The biggest Brown was 70 centimetres (27.5 inches) but we didn't weigh it - what do you reckon...

I still need to fish that lake. Me and Pawel went and had a look from the shore the other day but the weather was just too horrible to bother. Maybe late season I'll try again. You had some great fish.

Bloody challenging place, even for the seasoned veterans! Pretty daunting if you haven't fished it before. On the 'expertise scale' from 1-10 I would rate myself at about a 1.5 but happy to catch up with you out there sometime...
