It is amazing to meet (not to discover because they always existed but under cover) those, in Lebanon and the middle east, who uncover, and practically live, the value of each human being, in fact of each living being. We finally see bright humans like Sarah become trailblazers same as the team of this show! Thanks to all the team and may the future be bright to all.

it's so good and refreshing to see such a progressive and enlightened person .
I wish that Lebanon and the region would embrace a more free ,liberal and secular worldview . That would solve a whole lot of their problems.

The episode is great ❤️ I am from Egypt and I treat the veil as a costume for cultural acceptance because harassment is justified with the absence of the veil. The issue is that people put me in a certain frame of a pre-image of the veiled woman. So far, I suffer from this issue because I am in a male dominated field, so I am always excluded at work, although I am better than most of them.
Nice dialogue, I enjoyed it and I like Sarah's point of view ❤️❤️❤️

praping for Halloween tonight with kids, lol, some pumpkins carving, 🙃, I will catch up for sure later today and watch this amazing episode, an amazing topic that need to be exposed without sugar coating.
Women in vasp majority of our society are oppressed and discriminated.. The change can happen only by educating the new generation that woman and man both shall be equal and both are important contributors toward the society and homeland. we do have lots of succesful women leaders in the west and North america, Canada, are arab and lebanese descendant. we can have the same in Lebanon and the arab world.
Good show, amazing people, you guys rock. keep it up.. big fan..❤🇨🇦🌹😘

I truly Love your social program, more like a Lebanese actuality!
To me it is like looking to the past 45 plus Years that i have been living abroad, Never went back once, and the reasons are MANY.
often i find myself Trying to connect the dots, through your guest eyes and somehow pain and Rhetoric
Between the LEBANON we left behind, and the Lebanon of our Days.
I will avoid any point to be an intruder, but what caught my
Attention, was while presenting your guest this episode, you mentioned that this young and lovely young Lady is Palestinian, !
And what truly BUGELS my mind, is a humble question,
    Was she BORN IN LEBANON!?
maybe it is my assumptions, but be that as it may, will the Lebanese constitution ever change in that regard, let alone the rights to all women etc!
i often ask myself, saying if the mother is Lebanese andbthe chold was born in Lebanon, how come the Lebanese constitution oppose giving the LEBANESE citizenship based on these Criteria, or requirements?
Here in the U S, it gies by birth,( being born in the U S, or from an American father or mother, same it goes to ITALY, either parent must be Italian, wnd if born in Italy, will get the citizenship on the 18th birthday. Same goes to Canada almost like the U S, beside the neutralization and the OATH etc!
And I won't go far, but if you are curious, yes I am,
This is in Brief, our story as a family, and yes i carry 3 passports despite the fact that it is illegal for any American citizen( as we have the right for two...).
Despite the place of birth, and the Lebanese mother and have passed the 9 years of my life in Lebanon attending a Nun's School, before leaving for good with a ONE WAY TICKET!
WE were denied the Lebanese citizenship, let alone the fact that our old man,was an artist ( Rip), lived in lebanon over 50 years. Yet he was a stranger.
My old man was not Palestinian nor Syrian...!
    Super funny amd interesting.
By the way, we are considered upostate to many, despite being of both religions.
I truly miss my birth place, and who knows, maybe one day, will go back for a visit hoping to be accepted among those that we always called and referred to as OUR PEOPLE, since the arabic we speak today maybe broken but our dialect is that of the mountains of EAST SOUTH EAST BEIRUT.
    BY THE WAY
THIS YOUNG LADY SPEAKS HER TRUTH OPEN MINDED.
LOVE HER RHETORIC, AND YES SHE SHOULD LIVE HER LIFE, HOWEVER SHE PLEASE.
MUCH RESPECT, and thx to both of you for making yhis Possible to all of us followers.
(Sorry to dictate this by a speak to text)
Im Sitting on a tarmac on the GO! Awaiting clearance.
    Good luck everyone
    And peace to LEBANON.

I understand that the point of your show is a discussion with the end goal of learning something new, but some degree of research and understanding is always required to conduct a fruitful discussion. Asking "what is the patriarchy, does it have something to do with dads?" Shows that either you are completely ignorant or you are purposefully trying to dumb the discussion down. A better phrasing would have been: "I know that the patriarchy is XYZ, but how do you feel about alot of women internalizing these patriarchal beliefs and perpetuating them?"

    • @mohammady7895

We are not Arabs, but under Arab colonialism since French colonialism handed him the keys to power in the middle of the twentieth century. We are the indigenous Amazigh people of North Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia Libya and others country) suffer from racism and identity theft, which is embodied in the repressive Arabization practiced by the ruling Arab dictatorial regimes. Amazigh is the historical identity of North Africa, but the Arab dictatorial regimes are working to make it outside the framework of everything that is happening in this region by coercive Arabization. The abuse of power and the employment of islamique religion. What creates a soil unsuitable for democracy and coexistence between peoples to confront human problems such as the environment and poverty . Media and educational incitement to consider Arabism and Islam as the and sublime identity imposed by law, creates an identity crisis that fuels ethnic and religious extremism and produces, as the world is experiencing, thousands of terrorists who strike inside and outside the borders, not to mention the death of thousands of immigrants fleeing poverty and injustice. We call on the democratic and free world to dig into the true history of North Africa and not to be tempted by Arab propaganda. To stop calling our countries the Arab world or the Arab Maghreb, the racist phrase that Kadhafi made in 1998.The Arab regimes of North Africa has reached the point of banning Amazigh personal names and they do everything in their power to obstruct the Amazigh language from taking its place in state institutions, in addition to dissolving Amazigh parties and suppressing Amazigh militants.Associations and jurists interested in the Amazigh issue have what they present as evidence to consider the actions of Arab nationalists in North Africa amounting to war crimes against humanity.

liberal feminism not radical. Heirarchy is there wether we like it or not, its definitely important to have, infact its there by nature. the strongest, the smartest, the wittiest get to lead the group. wether it be a father or a mother figure in a family. the person who fits the role will lead by nature, automatically, and is usually chosen by the group.

TLDR she is heavily biased and ignorant or chooses not to say the truth, also men and women need to have equal value a fair just value but that doesn't mean they do the exact same thing whither you believe in god or look at other animals in biology even though there are special cases we go by the norm and then work with the special cases rather than the other way around. those who believe in a religion should follow it as for those who don't have a religion and are trying different things, they need to try to be as objective and proactive about finding the best system for men and women rather than being reactive again and again, carrying toxicity and hatred witheach reaction. finally and ironically in feminism it seems like what gives a woman value to be "strong" is doing traditionally masculine things even the ones we recognise as toxic. while undervaluing things that are stereotypically feminine and basically going "ow yeah!? you think that such and such are weak? well yes they are and that's why we are gonna do what you are doing" basically rather than letting femininity up, they want to be men.
if you actually listen you can hear many many problems, feminism and the red pill movements are toxic jokes that only hurt our society, and "islamic" feminists and red pill people are even more of a joke and are more toxic.
she talks about things while making it seem as if she is knowledgable when she is far from knowledgable, I'm barely knowledgable and I can tell how ignorant she is which shows how much ignorant/ stuck in an echo chamber she is.
for example, she says extremism comes from going after the root cause when there are feminsist that want all men dead and will lITERALLY abort male babies, they are insane and nothing like she made it seem like.
the feminist and the red pill movmement like any other toxic extreme reactionary movement, they take a grain of truth and then they insert there own toxicity and sell you on something that is much more.
there was a study that have thousands if not 100 thousand women surveyed and over time even with the advancement of feminism and the whole mee too movement, they have become more and more depressed with single women in their 40s working a high corporate job being the most depressed. don't take my word for it you can look it up yourself.
furthermore, after the mee two movement men in the work place act as if they are walking around eggshells when they are around women while women are now feeling like they are being isolated from the group, which they kinda are as you would naturally imagine as one complaint even if not true might end your career while at the same time I'm not saying the metoo movment was completely wrong as there is a lot of harassment that can happen in a mixed work place.
"islamic" feminists and islamic "red pill" people are more of a joke because there is an already made system, the whole "men interpreted text" is idiotic and ignorant to the fullest, as in Islam you have full chains going back to the prophet about most interpretations, the window for modern interpretation of scholars is very small, plus even at the time of the prophet many ahadith have chains all the way back to female companion of the prophet not just aisha the wife of the prophet, she is well known because 1 she is one of the biggest narratures (in volume and context) only second to people like abu hurira which is a big achievement, she also lived a long life which means she had taught many people. their were also many other female companions that also transmitted their ahadith to the next generations with the interpretations.
the problem of "islamic feminists" is that they pick and choose at to what they want which is not something you can do in Islam, either you take all of it or you don't (you can still go against it aka sin but by the fact you see it as a sin means you have taken all of it)
also islamic feminists are two types, 1 who isn't too ignorant and in their own bubble, those ones will for the most part only know there rights in Islam while ignore the rights that men have in Islam, for example they are big on the "my money is my money while your money is my money" yet they will not recognise that the right of the man that the final say in the house is his( although you should discuss with the people in the house ultimately you want a harmonious environment)
2 the second type is totally living in cucu land. many of the things they claim might take them out of Islam as they are fundamental such as saying a major sin isn't a sin, that in of itself is a sin that takes you out of the fold of Islam when ironically most major sins except for kufur and shirk will not take you out of Islam. homosexuality is a major sin in Islam whither you like it or not, guess what is also a major sin in Islam? premarital sex much less adulty, ultimately they are all major sins yet they seem to pick and choose by saying one of them isn't a sin while the is. yes loving other men isn't a sin in of itself as in Islam what is inside of your mind isn't counted BUT it's not like gay men are just gonna hug, and that intercourse between a man and another man is a sin, so airing it out and normalising gay relationships will only normalise doing a major sin, and again don't take my word for it, you ask yourself, how many men with families and children broke their families apart and "came out" as gay? the big problem isn't this, it's with that they did after that which is getting into a gay relationship.
now you might not agree with what I said and that's fine, you don't believe in Islam, the problem is when you say that you believe in Islam then say "but I don't agree with this or that" Islam has AN OBJECTIVE morality and it's anchor is it's ontology, so if you believe in it's ontology and Mohammad as the last prophet then no matter if you like it or not, you will have to go with it and you should probably look into yourself and environment as to why you disagree with it.
the same goes for the red pill movement, they ar ea bunch of toxic manlets that might have gotten ligetamily hurt by women but rather than improving and finding a better women, they become resentful and they start missing with other people's lives, women's lives. you know we have a saying that goes something like " a pot that found its' lid" andi truly believe that feminsim and the red pill movment is that pot and lid..
hopefully with educated you a bit, if I didn't explain something well or you disagree with something, I am open for discussion, the last thing you want to be in is an echo chamber!

You are spot on, Islam is a complete teaching from self-discipline to self-driven education إقرأ to marital law, science , economics etc. It’s not seasonal, it is valid in every era and time because of the core values and truths it holds. The issue is people speaking as if they are the rebirth of the Prophet in 1800 or 1990 or 2021 etc, when the interpretation they are promoting is self-motivated to clear them of their guilt. For God’s sake سورة لوط is crystal clear the sin is echoed in Christianity and Judaism. You cannot claim it was taken out of “ context”. It’s quite interesting why “ Muslims” under the name of movements “ Islamic Feminism”, “ Freedom of Expression” etc come up with odd ball interpretations of Islam when we know that Prophet Mohammed (PBUH ) is the last prophet and Islam is the last religion yet they have the constant urge to upgrade the rule and reign of Allah promoting ideas as premarital sex, incest as if they are moral and ethical and written in hidden text in the Holy Quran to say they are right. While Jews and Christians would never make such claims they would simply say we are atheists.
