Wow you just gave me an epiphany. I write music, but I often see my music as a vessel for my feelings and the words I write. It sounds obvious to me now but I had never considered that fictional literature could help you process so much of yourself in that way as well and somehow it feels different than music because it is somewhat less self contained, and arguably can provide more depth in it's analysis.
Music too is an amazing vessel. There are things that notes can express that words never could. All in all, we sooth our souls with our art. It is so essential.
