omg. Man, your "i'm not a professional" level of knowledge/ideas/vison is way bigger than many so called pros have ;D Youre great! And thanks fot the fantastic scenery shots.
I love what you’re doing. I do something similar with my car. I’m a long way from 8 cameras, but now I’m thinking about more angles after watching your great video. 👍❤️🇯🇲
I Like your explanation and I will try to follow your ideas for my Travelling and upload in my RUclips Channel. I have seen this video earlier and again I am viewing for my training for my channel.👍👏👏👏.
@@AnthonyJoh Nice! I'll keep an eye out for it. Testing some rigs out now on my '83 cx650 turbo and trying to work out all the kinks for when I finish my recumbent motorcycle project.
Very interesting and I was wondering how you shot “removed” (i.e., not POV) shots of you while riding. I thought you had another camera person riding a separate vehicle (car or motorcycle) in front of you. Very informative!
whoahh thanks for sharing how to improve filming and recommending some cameras and audio even though its not existing anymore as you said... like other said it is very informative...Ride safe always...
Thanks for the video , I do a few of motorcycle camping video on my channel and you tips are very helpful , would love to see more along these lines . Pete Western Australia
I made an updated video to this one. If you skip past all the drone stuff I talk about the changes I've made to my set up. ruclips.net/video/unTjoHFWsqo/видео.htmlsi=Bt1L5Mlggi1z4-Kb&t=1127
Impressive !! I am new into this in terms of doing some videos - I have two of those garmin virb cameras but I thought upgraded to the go pro and remote to do exactly what you want to do. My experience shows that remote is too unreliable and just doesn’t work !!I’m thinking of switching to insta or DjJI osmo action 4. I’m also going to get those Virb cameras out of retirement.
A lot of others have also commented that the GoPro remote is not reliable. This doesn't surprise me given how unreliable the GoPro camera is. Depending on what style of video you want to make, I think the Insta 360 camera is one of the better ones to buy for anyone starting off in motorcycle filming.
Wow so much info . Thank you for explaining it all in laymen terms like you did . I am on my second CB500X . It has the Rally Raid wheel and suspension package which really changes this bike ....totally . Both of my CB's have the original factory windshield . Yes , the buffeting is a known issue with the CB's . The fix for this ended up being the small windscreen added to the top of my windshield made by Puig . I don't really understand why it works so well but for me ( 6 ' tall ) it has to totally eliminated the buffeting ....100% . Its hard to believe but it is true . Thank you for all the camera info as I am looking at setting myself up with that in the near future . Thanks you
Hello. I watched the films about the motorcycle trip with the Honda in Canada. You have very nice roads and many places where you can go... I didn't know that your ferries are free... In Europe it is not like that - they are paid and expensive for transportation. I really liked the motorcycle cases. They are not Honda, but they are very good in size and shape. Especially the back one. (top case) Which company does it work for? I also have Honda - Integra DCT and NC750X DCT with factory cases, but the top cases are narrow but very high. Yours is nice - wide low and long. Have a nice day and have an accident-free ride with the Honda.
Impressive video, thank you. I agree with audio problems with action cams, that is an jungle. They would increase profit if they would produce same audio connections and whatever chips they are using, make it global. But no...unfortunately. I struggle also with audio..
hi there, May I ask you about the top box containing the camera equipment ?. Is it a motorcycle top box, or is it a hard camera case that you have fitted as a top box -if so - how is it mounted on the motorcycle ?. great videos 👍.
I have a pretty similar setup. I switched to the new GP stuff. The remote is handy, but failed audio, hiccups with the remote, etc drive me nuts. Good vid, I stopped carrying my big camera, and only use my cell phone now. I don't really miss it for video, but do miss taking pictures with it. It is nice to not have to pack a full size camera and 2-3 lenses though.
thanks for this. I am very curious to understand how after you manually turn each camera on you get the videos to sync with the audio, for example. Like when you edit and change camera, but end result everything is sync with audio etc. I saw the audio is connected only to one camera, I might be saying something stupid, but I always had this curiosity! Uploading the file from 3-4 cameras and getting all of them to sync and have the same audio is what I am struggling here. lol Maybe software does that now too.
@@AnthonyJoh Ohh thanks a lot for the explanation!!! I always wondered how did how in different camera angles all seemed synced and the audio perfect. Now I know! :) I am sure the software can lineup these waveforms.
Yeah that is annoying. I talk about that in my latest video as the drone I just bought is now suddenly useless as the company has abandoned the consumer market.
@@AnthonyJoh I’ll have to check that out. I’ve always gone DJI with drones so have been lucky in that respect but I’ve wondered about some of the less popular brands that have enticing offers/pricing.
Yes I try to shoot everything in 24p but with some of the actions cams it's not possible. The Insta360 for example doesn't have an ND filter so I have to use auto shutter. That's why if you pause the video with the 360 shots you won't see any motion blur on the tires. Drives me nuts but nothing I can do about it.
@@AnthonyJoh awesome! For your other action cams that you don't set auto for shutter, if you're riding a long trip, how do you deal with the different lighting exposure from the sun? Or does the ND Filters solve it?
Yeah that's a pain too and I've certainly had some shots ruined. The best way to deal with changing lighting conditions is just to leave everything on auto but I can't stand the look of it. I've gotten better and paying attention to the light and changing out the filters as I go.
I see! So you swap filters and change settings as you go! That must be a drag to do with lots of cameras to change and Im assuming it takes a 5 to 10mins of break time but i guess it has to be to done to get that perfect lighting haha.
Loving your teaching and how humble you are.
I appreciate that!

man I learned so much about just filming and getting better angles from this... Thanks Anthony!
Glad you liked it. The 360 camera really adds a lot to getting different angles.
This video is so awesome! Thanks for all the juicy info!
I really did think there was at least one other person filming with you haha!
wow! A lot of gear and effort goes into your videos! Thank you for doing this and sharing

This is honestly the most useful video on mounting cameras on motorcycles...

Go Pro hero 9 were horrible, Switch to 10-11 you will be much happier. Also, Panasonic GH5, amazing camera.... for size, what it can do and price.

I'm on the other side of the country in BC.

Hi, the case is made by a Canadian company called Nanuk. nanukcases.ca/collections/medium-cases/products/nanuk-930

It's a camera case that I've bolted to a mountain plate that is attached to the bike. The case is a Nanuk 930 and the plate is a Touratech one.
@@AnthonyJoh Thanks Anthony.

You gotta beep the horn and then synch it in post. After I start all the cameras I beep the horn so I can line up the waveforms.

I might be a little faster now as I just bought a Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro! ;)
I believe the doorstop 😂
Thanks for the video .. alternatives for the mic? as now is not available
Unfortunately I don't have an alternative solution at the moment.

👍👍👍
Omg, why have I never thought of just beeping the horn instead of clapping 3 times?! Yea, I'm feeling real dumb right now.
lol! glad I could help. ;)

I probably will one day.
