Yeah i totally agree with everything you said about Coronado dog beach, It's small. I like Fiesta Island Dog beach and hike around while my dog swims and plays with other dogs :)
Great video, ladies! I love seeing Kuma and Zooey on the beach! They’re adorable. ❤️ Also, it’s such a bummer that the restaurant on the dog beach wasn’t dog friendly! I would’ve been disappointed by that as well.
My wife and I live about a hundred yards from HB dog beach. If you parked in the residential area there’s a good chance you walked right past our front door. We see lots of people and their dogs heading to the beach every weekend. The beach isn’t always that wide and flat, you were there at low tide. The sand is a lot narrower at high tide. I always look at a tide chart and try to time going to the sand for low tide, it’s definitely nicer. In the winter the waves can be quite big.
Wow!! I'm so surprised that you guys did not enjoy Coronado Dog beach. I like it better than the ocean dog beach. When my sister and I took our dogs we walked all the way down and had plenty of space for the dogs to run around. In the video, it looked like you did not walk all the way down. Maybe you should try Coronado Dog beach again. I usually go after having lunch at lobster west(love me some lobster rolls).
Haha, I know we were going to get some grief on not liking Coronado because SO many of our friends love it. I think we were originally put off because parking was difficult to find and then we had to walk FOREVER to get to the beach... but maybe we went on a really busy day? We might try it again if we're back in San Diego :)
@@travelpockets Yes, I would definitely recommend trying the Coronado Dog beach again. Parking is a bit difficult to find but it's kind of like the Ocean Dog beach where if you are patient, you will find parking within 10 minutes. We drove all the way down to the end of the road( until we reached the navy base) and found parking closer to the dog beach versus the normal Coronado beach. And for us, the walk from parking to Coronado Dog beach(sand area) was a five-minute walk and then we walked a bit farther to have more space.
You went to Carmel Beach and skipped Pfeiffer Beach in Big Sur? Far, far, far and away the best dog beach in California. Take the time, do the trip with those poochies, and post a vid here…you’ll be very happy you did (so will we). Thanks for entertainment! We’re Coronado dog beach locals
@@travelpockets For the best weather, the time to hit Pfeiffer is now through end of October. We were there first day it opened because of the CoVid closures. It was Thursday Oct. 15 and it was perfect. 83-85 degrees on the beach (hot for up there).
What an unique and creative vlog!
Thank you so much!💕

Thank you, Irene! Yeah, not sure why they don't make that restaurant dog friendly... they even have outdoor seating, so why not?

You're so lucky you live right by this beach! Must be so nice. Great tips on the low and high tides👍
