We Argentineans love to see people from other countries react to our (pretty vast) pool of pop/rock music, so I'm pretty sure you'll find a loyal following base if you react once in a while to some of our music. In the 70's and 80's we had some pretty cool prog rock stuff too that you may (or may not) enjoy, like: Band: La Máquina de hacer pájaros - Song: Hipercandombe Band: Seru Giran - Song: La Grasa de las Capitales Artist: Luis Albert Spinetta - Song: Cantata de los puentes amarillos (almost acoustic weird and beautiful prog-rock ballad)
Try the band "La maquina de hacer pajaros" (The bird making machine), the song "Ah, te vi entre las luces (Ah, I saw you between the lights) is very good. Argentinian Progressive rock from 1976. Charly Garcia leader, national genious hero. Another CG's band, Seru Giran 1978-1982, Eiti Leda or Las Grasas de las capitales are excellent. If you try Charly Garcia or Spinnetta you will discover a new world. Be careful.

Hi, nice reaction; you have a real starting point here: You'll find some (a few, being honest) good bands in other latin american countries but... Argentina owns rock'n roll, Argentina is rock'n roll. Among other genres in which Argentina is top quality; argentinean rock is "world class" quality as well. Here are some more songs of Divididos to listen: "El 38", "Spaghetti del Rock", "Que ves", "Guanuqueando" and many many more. Hey there. Back in the 80's there was this argentine trio called "GIT" ((originally, GIT, to resemble the English Word "Hit") a rock and new wave band from Buenos Aires, emerged in the early 1980s, composed of Pablo Guyot (guitars and vocals), Willy Iturri (drums and vocals) and Alfredo Toth (bass and vocals). But the songs were pure art....that was the secret of their success.....nice reaction.

Hello Dean, I loved your reaction to the Divididos songs. From what I understood you are a fan of Progressive. I recommend that you react to 2 Argentine progressive bands from the late 70's and early 80's: La Maquina de hacer Pajaros and Seru Giran. Both led by Charly Garcia. Greetings from Argentina
