With all the awesome releases on the horizon, of course it was time to bring back the unboxing videos, and we’re starting strong with the Timeless Adventurer Edition of YS: Memories of Celceta! I’ve got many more pre-orders for Falcom in the pipeline, so I hope you’ll look forward to more unboxing videos in the future!
XSEED always does full colour manuals with their physical releases, and their packaging is always on point. This is why i wish they still did the localization for Ys & The Legend of Heroes.
I just got this on amazon for 29.99 last week im playing it right now and i love having the limited edition items and the shiny box. Might get another just to keep sealed.
I just ordered this on Amazon and it should be here tomorrow. It'll be my third Ys game. I'm growing my collection! Finding a physical copy of Ys 8 seems to be the hard part though. Looks like what I see from Amazon is from Europe.
@@TheKisekiNut Yeah, it was a lot of fun, even if it was a bit short by RPG standards (about 30 hours). The music is amazing (no surprise there), and visually it looks pretty good considering its age (at least after I disabled HDR in the video settings - with HDR enabled it looked terrible, at least on my non-HDR monitor). The fixed camera was annoying at first (especially since the previous Ys game I played was Lacrimosa of Dana with a more modern over the shoulder view), but I got used to it pretty quickly. Overall it's a great game, and an easy recommendation from me.
@@Sheevlord To be honest a 30 hour game is about what I need at the moment. There's way to much on my list for the next 4 months or so, so a shorter experience will be much better. On top of replaying the Cold Steel arc in preparation for a second playthrough of 4, I've still got this game, Fairy Tail, FF7 remake, SMT IV (obviously because of the recent announcement), and whatever else comes up on the radar. At least there's loads to do!
As someone who never owned a Vita, I was so excited when I heard this was coming to PS4. I also get a kick out of proper manuals, feels very old school, and I’d like to hear your opinion of the game once you’ve finished it. For me personally, of the three Ys games I’ve played (Ys VIII, Origin, and Celceta) I’d say Celceta is probably the weakest, but it’s still solid.
Glad I'm not alone in my thoughts about manuals! I'll have to see what I think about Celceta, admittedly it would be very difficult for the game to win out over YS VIII, as I consider that to be one of my favourite games ever. But I'm hoping it will be on par with the other 2 I've played.
I picked up this game as well, but I haven't played it. Didn't "Rean" voice one of the characters in this game? I remember him saying that. I haven't proper gotten into Ys yet. I'm not that into this style of game. I prefer the more story driven Trails games. But I'm a huge Falcom Sound Team fanboy, which is why I plan to play all the Ys games (excluding the ones that have had remakes). I have played the remakes of 1 and 2 and Felghana. I'm undecided on which to play next. I've been thinking either Origin or Napishtim. Or maybe Celceta since I've done 1-3 so far and this is the remake of the 4th.
There's no doubt that both series offer something different, but Falcom have been introducing more elements of inter connectivity between YS games now, so you'll notice some references as you continue to play, at least based on what I saw in YS VIII. That being said, the stand alone stories of the games are still top quality from the ones I have played, and I'm looking forward to trying this one out.
At present it's like 4 Falcom related goods, that'll go up to 5 when the European partners are announced for another title. These unboxing videos will always only be Falcom though, since I can't justify buying any other limited editions.

Manuals are fucking rare. I love that. Wow =0.

I was lucky in that I found the Limited Edition on Ebay for like £100. It was unsealed, but I don't really care since it's mine to keep.
I want so bad this game on switch!
Well YS Origins is coming to Switch, so there could be some hope there!
@@TheKisekiNut I preordered a physical copy the minute I heard about it lol.
I just finished this game on PC about an hour ago.
I've heard decent things about it, hoping your experience was positive!
