One of the reasons I chose cello is because of its soulful sound. The Weeknd is one of my favorite vocalist and you have truly captured the emotion of this piece. I am so moved by this cover. Amazing job
I've listened to this a million times now and it still always gets me! The entire cover is amazing but that boisterous final chorus where the cello is absolutely weeping with the sorrowful but stern cadence of the piano accompanying leading to that perfect diminuendo as the outro starts, holy shit...it just rips my heart out 😭💔 (also it hits me in the dark souls a bit, in the same section there's a brief run on the piano that sounds a little like Gwy's theme and that just made the hurt worse)
