This video was a great example of a quick yet very informative walkthrough, excellent format! Made me buy that synth app too, excellent model with very user-friendly GUI!!👍🏻
Thanks, Si. I purchased KQ Dixie 3-4 years ago and downloaded several collections of free presets, but never really played with it that much. (You mentioned having too many synths. Ditto.) Time to dust it off and learn more about how to actually use it!
Yes, absolutely. I was originally going to do a video which included KoFM but have decided to do it as a separate video as it's a bit different to Dexed and Dixie.
I can’t figure out to change the input channel for using an external keyboard. It only responds to channel 1, and I can’t find anything clear in the settings. Is it only one channel?
How do I create splits in this app? I haven't been able to do that yet... I also need to change the regions of the keyboard where I want the timbres to sound, because in one hand I want to use two layers of Brass and in the other I want to use a synth pad. how do I do that?
I have a question I have this app and I want to use my Yamaha keyboard as a midi with this app but when I play my keyboard both the sound from the key board and app play at same time what can I do ?
If your Yahama is a sound source itself then I'm presuming it's making a sound out in the room whilst it's playing the app within your iPad? If that's the case the easiest thing to do is turn down your Yamaha volume (there may be a setting on the device to silence the keyboard but the volume control would be easier!) so you can only hear the iPad.
@@SiEffen thank you for the reply !!! You know what i found out how to do it like you said I turned the sound off from keyboard itself and worked !! Thank you !

Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching
This app gets less attention than it deserves! So your video is a welcome addition.
Thanks for watching!

Great to hear!
Nice overview Si. It is an unassuming little App, but it gets the job done when you need that classic DX7 sound.
For sure! Thanks for watching!
...Thanks Si....have used KQ D for years...
Great 👍
Nice review. This developer has some excellent apps, and this is one of them.
Agreed!
Another alternative that does not cost any coinage is one you have there, King of FM, which replaces FM Player 2: DX Synth.
Nice review.

You are so welcome

Not sure, I can't see a way of hand of changing the input channel. Best drop an email to the developer who will know for sure. Thanks for watching

Not sure in the app itself. If you had it running as an AUv3 in AUM you could create channel splits that way, it's a bit messy but it would work.
