Lightforge gloves and boots are pretty weak unless wearing one gives you the 4/6pc bonus, but I'd definatly wear the rest of the set over deathbone compared 1 to 1. I still prefer breastplate of shaman king over the other 2 and, if I didn't have Tier 1 gloves, I'd wear Backusarian Gauntlets over both of those sets too. Guilty confession tho, I wore lightforge boots for a long time anyway purely because of the style points.
It's great! Holy Shock is just crazy good for tanking and you still get all your pve healing goodies + with that particular build you can get all the major group support pvp talents. Definatly a more proper paladin build than what I'm running here.
I am currently running 30/21/0 so I can get that Blessing of Sanctuary for solo farming DM East. I think its way to hard without Sanctuary and dont know how to farm gold elsewhere as a paladin. Or do you know any other good methods? Stratholme two-man runs? I don't know if I should keep this build or switch to 31/21/0 for holy shock. What's your opinion on this?
I'm not a fan of that build because going 30 points deep and not getting holy shock just feels wrong to me. Your use case is exactly what that build is for, but I'd do 25/26 personally to get reckoning for pvp. I actually do that farm with my current spec/gear and have no problems, so if gear is your bottleneck then sanctuary is definatly a good answer to the problem. You could also consider some specific items to help like Argent Defender, Uther's Strength, or Flurry Axe with seal of wisdom if you have mana issues. Playstyle choices if really needed, like swapping between ret aura and concentration if you need to pop off a heal. I was gonna post a video about this farm when I get home, so I'll throw in anything else I can think of there.
Haha I can tell your musical taste must be excellent with Roundabout being featured at the end! How often did you downrank your skills during that run? I try to use Rank 5 Consecration to start and then Rank 3 the rest of the way, but sometimes DPS pulls off me and I wonder if it's because my spec/gear is bad (30/21/0) or the DPS is just not watching threat well lol
Normally I do the same as you, one max rank and then Rank 3 as a default price/performance choice. Sometimes I'll just use rank 1 mainly to create the visual effect since I assume people feel safe standing inside a nice comfy consecrate. In this particular video I'm spamming max rank abilities the entire time since my build is burst damage based anyway. Ideally I should be killing mobs faster, thus compensating for spending more time drinking than usual as well, but since we are carrying a dps in this video it's hard to properly gauge the math on that. People generally don't watch threat in 5mans and there are certain things you simply will never be able to hold against. For example, competent, well-geared dps are borderline impossible to hold aggro against, but the trade off is they are already capable of soloing an elite anyway. That is also why I put such heavy emphasis on snap threat. Always worth remembering that Warriors and Druids lose threat all the time in the same situations we do too.
I forgot to add fancy transitions like I normally do... instead please enjoy these cross fades and jump cuts!
When in doubt, remember that shamans can tank anything up to and including Onyxia.
hehe, I always wanted to try that out
Gotta love the one drunk/high friend in your group
Yeah, the wildcard keeps it interesting for sure
What's weird is that some people raid while they are not drunk/high. Where is the fun in that ? :)
love teh vid!! what do you think about mixing tier pieces and deathbone gear or ratehr go for tier plus lightforge

Would you recommend this build for 2 handed tanking while leveling?
Heee man great video, was really thinking about this for a long time. What is your opinion on 31/20/0 tanking??

Fun fact. I had to remove that song from the end of the video because the copyright holder wanted to monetize it =(
