@@Diamond-pm3vtIsn’t the answer to that obvious? To me she appears to be an emotional nomad. Staying with other people makes it allot easier to just pick up and leave.
However, as she ages, I suspect it will get harder to find a place to land. Except for with her parents. She doesn’t seemed to have grown much over the 3 or 4 years since I first saw one of her videos, before the Covid lock downs.
I think we are confused because Katie was throwing away and giving away stuff that she couldn't fit in her car and now she is going back.
I'm not confused. I mean people are constantly evolving and changing. Sometimes we circle back to where we once were before moving on again. I don't think that it is anything odd or out of the ordinary at all. 🤷🏻♀️

I just think that too many people are used to everyone sharing everything online and having no boundaries. I have learned that - while I love sharing so much - I still need SOME boundaries. And "I'm not exactlyy 100% sure what my next step is yet... so I'm going back to stay with my best friend for a while to figure it out" does seem that I'm "leaving so much out." I know it sounds a little confusing, but I only think that's because people want the "nitty gritty details" and I am not going to share that when I am not comfortable or when I'm still unsure. I know my life is very different than most people's, but I hope we can all remember that "different" doesn't mean bad/wrong/etc. Just different.
Boundaries are definitely important. But. If you want to have a "lifestyle" vlog and we know almost zero details about your life, it turns into the same videos on repeat. Same shopping, same food, same organizing, same cleaning the car, same walking aimlessly around a park. People want to know you. You don't have to give nitty gritty details, but you don't even give small ones. We don't know who you're dating, who you're living with, what you're doing in your free time, what your actual thoughts are on issues and topics that are important to you, etc. If your content is your life, you have to talk about more than small talk/ explaining what you're doing with mundane activities with the same activities over and over. No disrespect at all. I used to watch you all of the time and really enjoyed you. It feels like you've lost your way as a content creator.

@@misscourtneyjo1020Logically, you can’t say “no disrespect” while you’re bashing someone’s entire brand. If you don’t like my videos anymore, you don’t need to watch. I will not change my boundaries for strangers online. I am living for God, not the internet.
Also, I watch a bunch of creators who clean every single video, cook every single video, etc. But it seems that you’ve missed most of my travel and exploring and vlogging content lately. We all get to choose what we post publicly, and I am posting for the people who connect with my channel. I am not posting for the people who expect me to be someone I’m not just to please them.

Your very blessed to be able to travel I'm stuck in one city because of stupid bills and job I used to live in my car but still had to stay in one place.
He really is a good friend. I had the impression when you moved out of his house that is was time for you to leave Florida for good - not that you needed to be other places for a little while and might/might not return to Florida. It seems like it would be so hard to feel like you are just in transit all the time. 😢

I can’t stand this garbage. She HAS a purpose. So the people she touches in a lifechanging way are nothing in the eyes and ECONOMY of GOD? I’m one of them. Just a thought but have you considered a PT job? I think you said you have a degree or background in English. Maybe you would enjoy editing? On some of these online job sites there are people looking for one offs, someone to help with a particular project short or longer term. Just a random (but sub of many years) person's thoughts. Take with a grain of salt! p.s. I spent the first years of my life in FL and loved it, especially the alligators! Might be kidding but we did find them randomly in the yard and watched our ducks very carefully and their babies when swimming in the creek across the way.(sorry so long!)

I've read through a lot of these comments on this video. It is sad really. Pay no attention to the people that are giving you a hard time for not knowing exactly what you're doing and returning back to Florida. It's ridiculous honestly. People need to get lives of their own.

Obviously, you share what you’re comfortable sharing. I’ve been following for a while and you’ve gotten more guarded and so vague about what’s going on in your life in your videos. Maybe sharing your life isn’t something you want to be doing anymore? At least that’s how it feels when watching your videos lately.

And I can’t figure out if it’s because she’s trying to make cliffhangers so you are baited to watch her next video, or if it’s because her ego is too fragile to handle criticism about who she really is. The last real videos were when she was hanging out with Brett. After that whole “manic” thing, she turned completely off.
I love sharing my life online! Just the longer I've been online, the more I realize that I need stronger boundaries and I have to care more about my safety. A lot of people share a LOT of their lives, and some only share a small part, but everyone shares the parts they are comfortable with. Just depends on the person.

@katiecarney It's understandable to be concerned about your safety. But you've commented on your views being down, therefore not making the money you once did. If you can't give your viewers what they want to see, maybe a different job would be best for you instead of your sole income being from social media, which you may already have another job to supplement.

But yes, I have shown some people over the years, but I rarely show anyone nowadays except my dad. It’s all about discernment and discretion on my end and theirs.

Katie in 63 years old and have lived in other countries along with cities all over the country. ( military life) but I was born in Puerto Rico. I moved to Florida and at the end of my marriage God placed me rt back in Florida were it all started. Is funny how life happens! You never know? After a horrible divorce to the military man. I now met my soulmate. And moved with him to North Florida in a new city . I love it!!!! Near all the springs and would not trade it for anything. Living out in this state is where God placed me with a man that is faithful and loves me.
I think you have some very positive videos no matter where you live! I am reading the book you were a couple of videos ago..Prayers and stay positive it really helps people in our day to day journey with our Lord❤

I'm not unpacking again! I'm glad I don't own a lot of things so it definiitely makes "moving" and traveling a lot easier. But I am currently seeing Florida as a "long visit," not a move. But we'll see what happens, because only God knows! ❤️

Moving back to Florida... I wonder if the comment section is confused or polite?
There is unrest. A drumbeat that increases in volume when our trajectory isn't pointing us toward our goal. Our time is finite. We need to act, to alter course. The more time passes, the more the drumbeat gets louder until it's a blaring alarm. We catch ourselves ruminating more and more frequently, fantasizing about a disaster, or worse... insignificance.
Katie needed to move, to change direction. But with her, like with many of us, the exact goal is still too undefined or obscured. This makes true-north impossible to navigate. I don't think the drumbeat ever really stops, but you need to be on course to quiet it down. Much of life is about the management of our purpose rather than the capture of it. A few commenters noticed this... " You need purpose Katie", "Did u ever think of doing some relief/ missionary work?" Both were met with resistance. Somebody who means well, but with sort of a "You are perfect just the way you are Katie" message. The sort of message when applied to me, I could never hear over the deafening drums.
I for one, think it was good for her to move out without a plan. It's not a failure. It's just part of the thrashing about we do, as we struggle against our own inertia. Change can be an ungraceful, difficult affair.

I’ve watched you for a long time now and I truly don’t mean this to sound rude but maybe RUclips isn’t for you anymore? I just feel like your content is so preachy now and that’s fine if you want your channel to be a religious channel but your entire brand has stemmed from travel and exploration videos, it’s just not that anymore. I know you talk about “gods calling” but from what I know, god doesn’t dictate your life, you’re in control of your life at the end of the day, maybe it’s time to take on some of that control? If you want to dedicate your life to god, then that’s awesome, RUclips just might not be the best place for that if you’re also aiming to earn some money from it.
