Imagine being able to go into a store and buy a replacement screen or battery and not have to buy a whole new phone when your careless and drop it all the time. All they need is upgradable memory slots and they are set
Why selling breakable phones in the first place? Just sell tougher phones why misleading consumers and increasing e waste by producing more spare parts?
Don't. That's like saying don't repair a car make them more durable. Apple say as durability increase repairability decrease. Both are nonsense statements. We know accidents happen and repairs will be needed, this is definitely a step forward in reducing the amount of devices being replaced before the end of their usable life. It's a marketing hook for sure but it just happens to benefit the consumer as well as long as replacement parts are priced low enough and not preventively high comparative to a new device
Screens either scratch or break. You can't have both, physics don't allow that to exist. You want us to live in fantasy world... While you're at it, make gravity a little lighter, and travel back in time...
Thanks for making it so easy to replace parts.
Wow! Just press the display to attach to the frame, great initiative HMD
