A Shakshuka Breakfast You'll Dream About

  • Easy Shakshuka Recipe -
    Ingredients:
    2 tbsp olive oil
    3 garlic cloves
    1 onion
    1 red bell pepper
    2 tsp paprika
    1 tsp cumin powder
    Chili powder (to taste)
    1 & 1/2 cups canned tomatoes
    4 eggs
    Black pepper
    Salt
    Coriander
    Parsley
    Steps:
    1. In a pot or pan, cook the chopped pepper and onion with a little bit of oil.
    2. When the onion starts becoming translucent add the chopped garlic and spices.
    3. Incorporate the tomatoes and mash them lightly. Cook at low heat. Add salt and black pepper to taste.
    4. Make some holes with a spoon and add the eggs.
    5. Cover and let cook for until the whites of the eggs are no longer raw.
    6. Add chopped parsley and coriander to finish.

      ​@@nasrinbano1868 Tbh, In understand this misnaming because Indonesians say "Roti naan (naan bread)" instead of "Roti India/Pakistan" so that they can differenciate between "Roti Prata/Canai"; "Roti" in Malay, both Indonesian and Malaysian, refer to all kinds of breads

    That looks good ngl, but shakshuka doesn't really need all those ingredients, it's just fresh tomatoes, garlic, eggs and mint to garnish, it's actually called the poor food for a reason 👍🏼✨

      I’ve noticed that among people here who make it. They dress it up too much like it’s this “super secret, nearly impossible, uber complex” thing to make. And it’s really simple in reality.

      as a northwest african, many cultures have an eggs in tomatoes in eggs dish but for some reason, other n. africans act like we have the monopoly on “eggs cooked in tomatoes” lol

      generally you’ll add cumin, chili powder, harissa (or some kind of spicy addition), paprika, black pepper, salt (you could also add coriander)

    Shakshoka isnt made with onion and sweet pepper, its garlic and hot pepper but ig it works fine too

    We make it with onion garlic mushrooms tinned tomatoes eggs with parsley and cheese on top.serve with bread or pitta

    Shakshuka is okayy but that runny egg yolk😢😢😢 I can't eat raw egg. That's why when I made shakshuka i cooked it until the egg fully get fully cooked. And that was also yummy
