오늘 김기영 갑독남의 1960년에서 나온 영화 를 보면서 이 표현이 영어로 나와서 무슨 의미인지 궁금해졌어요~ 잘 가르쳐서 감사합니다!

    Great.
Yoolim, any tips of "listening" to Korean speakers? My reading comprehension has really improved but I still struggle to catch everything Koreans say most of the time--even though I'll recognize some words here and there.

Well, there would be no typical tips, only for Korean. I mean, you know, it's a language and when you want to learn any languages, you might want to be exposed to such languages as much as possible and that's the way you pick it up, i think. Find anything in Korean, such like music, drama, movie, etc, and for the first time, if you have, use subtitle, lyrics or scripts to catch the meaning and then try without them.

Interesting. In Turkey we use this idiom "Yeme de yanında yat" for very delicious food. It means the food is so delicious that don't eat it, lie down near it.😊😅

French? nah..not really. I tried to learn it but it was quite not easy. That would be awesome if I could pick up French naturally during my staying here, but I don't think it will happen soon haha

people's keep saying that's it's easy to learn and talk Hangul but I don't think so. It's difficult for me. I did the basis, learn the alphabet but still can get how a word have different letters in Korean.

I bet Korean is easier than Mandarin which has more intonation for any syllable that you can imagine. In term of speech from easier to more difficult would be Japanese

What is your native language? I'm Turkish and Korean is very easy for me. Maybe because of that I'm watching Korean dramas😊
