And in your case I think you will get the visa free transit because as per official website If you are in transit to or from any third country via Singapore, you may be eligible for the 96-hour VFTF if you meet these requirements: You may enter Singapore by any mode of transport but depart only via air or sea. You must have a valid onward air/ferry/cruise ticket departing Singapore within 96 hours. You must have a valid visa or long-term pass (with a validity of at least one month from the date of entry into Singapore under the VFTF) issued by and/or good for entry into any of the following countries: - Australia - Canada - Germany - Japan - New Zealand - Switzerland - United Kingdom - United States of America [3] Travellers with Single Journey Visas (SJV) may still be granted VFTF on the return leg of their journey (i.e., after the SJV is used and no longer valid), but you must: Travel directly from the country that issued the SJV, en route through Singapore, back to your home country Not have returned to your home country since you last used the SJV. Hi Jagdish, As per the actual rule, for transit or layover, you don't need a Singapore visa. You can get down from your first flight and wait in the layover area during your buffer time, and then proceed to another gate for boarding your next flight. You need a Singapore visa only when you have to cross the immigration counter. But in your case the twist is that, you are saying your luggage needs to be checked in again. So in that case you have to go to the luggage belt and collect your luggage, for that you have to cross immigration in Singapore. But another thing you mentioned is that your PNR is same, so if your both the airlines are same, then Just talk to the airlines customer care, and tell them that when all are same, then why i have to do the luggage check-in again? Thus they will clarify the thing for you in a more better way. Hope this suggestion helps you. (And for thiland visa you don't have to show anything. It's visa on arrival. Hello Deepika, In booking . Com or Goibibo type hotel booking websites, you can see the "pay at hotel" option for various hostels. So you can select that and book your hotel. They will show the exact amount and provide you a booking voucher. (They may ask for a credit card details and deduct just 1 rupee for security and genuinty purpose) And thus you will get a hotel booking voucher without paying money in upfront, and this voucher is valid for applying visa Also. Based on the season, how many days you are spending, from where you are flying, which places you are visiting, which type of hotels you prefer etc.
For detailed Singapore to veterinary I am going to make a separate video soon.
But for now I can approximately tell you that for a couple it should be minimum 60k to 70k for a 2 to 4 days trip in off season with lowest air fares and budget stay..

Yes, you can get a tourist visa for Singapore.
In your case they will check on whom you are dependent on. And for you dependent person they will get details and proceed.
In other case if you say that you have your own earned money, then you may have to show your past few years ITR filing copy, and few more documents like your old company or business details etc.

In your case you both will be considered as dependent, as you both are not having any source of income but your daughter is having a job/business or an income source.
So no need to transfer any amount in your account. The visa agent will get all income details of your daughter and consider you both as dependent on her and then process your visa for Singapore.
(And for thiland visa you don't have to show anything. It's visa on arrival. So just after reaching Bangkok, in their immigration just give them the fees of around 200 bath or so.. and they will provide you with a tourist visa stamp.

In booking . Com or Goibibo type hotel booking websites, you can see the "pay at hotel" option for various hostels. So you can select that and book your hotel.
They will show the exact amount and provide you a booking voucher.
(They may ask for a credit card details and deduct just 1 rupee for security and genuinty purpose)
And thus you will get a hotel booking voucher without paying money in upfront, and this voucher is valid for applying visa Also. And then after reaching hotel, you can show them the voucher and pay them exactly same amount what's there in voucher.
