Great review! I wish blind spot monitoring was standard on the American Toyota Corolla but it's not. It's also very difficult to find a Corolla LE with the package that adds blind spot monitoring so you're forced to buy a fully loaded Corolla XSE/XLE if you want blind spot. Does the lane keeping and lane tracing work well on the Corolla?
Thank you! I found this Toyota Corolla LE (in Canada) to be fully loaded.. all systems work well. I even tested pre-collision system at lower speeds, and it worked great.
I just bought a new 2024 corolla LE base with 7 miles on it and drove it to work today on the freeway. The lane assist works GREAT at freeway speeds and lower. After 10 seconds of not touching the wheel a message appears, after 15 seconds a quiet duneggg-duneggggg, sounding tone starts and after 20 seconds it warns you the hands free lane assist is going to shut off and then the beeping is louder and ithen lane asist turns off. All you have to do is nudge the wheel slightly enough for the system to detect you touched the wheel and are not asleep and it stays on lane assist. The lane assist in this car doesn't just nudge the wheel if youre drifting into the lane next to you, it actually keeps you in the center of your lane so it is the real deal. Another small thing I like about the base is it actually shows you individual tire pressures, not just a warning light when one of the tires gets low and you don't know which one is low. I got mine for 23000 before taxes.Very happy with it. Complete safety sense features with auto breaking and radar cruise control with auto steering as I described above. If you're l;ooking to not spend a ton on a new car, get one!
