I’ve been reviewing French grammar with my son, and these videos are fantastic! Simple, but conveys so much in such an easy way to understand and remember. Thank you!!!
How on Earth, you only have 8 K subscribers? I'm very chocked seriously...Much less than your site has the subscribers in 10 ks...Merci bien pour tes videos!
Why aren't there more videos from you 😭😭 Please make more videos covering every grammar topic❤❤ Lucid, effective and easy to remember. The explanations go directly and sit in the mind without extra prep just by watching these vidoes😍😌
Thanks for illustrating the rules. I am deep into Duolingo when I got completely confused by Direct versus Indirect object and when to use LUI versus LE. Duolingo acts like you can learn a language completely just by practicing but I am afraid in French one needs to occasionally memorize a few rules.
Thank you, I found the 10 questions with the answers Very helpful! I got 8 correct, with 4 and 10 wrong, and I still don't know how we reached the right answers.
Nice job! In both of the questions you got wrong, the "e" from "le" is replaced with an apostrophe to avoid double vowels. Vous le écoutez = Vous l'écoutez.
While grammatically correct, "Je t'ai dit" is a fragment. It works in English as an implied "I told you so", or "I told (it) (to) you". Also, the "te" in this sentence is an indirect object pronoun. The correct form would be "je te l'ai dit" (with the L' as the direct object).
This is right! These lessons are too short to go into the fine print, but indeed te is indirect and whatever was told (i.e., the words that came out of someone's mouth) is direct. Examples with ONLY direct objects (and no implied indirect object) are quite limited, although I tried to find good ones for practice at the end, and indirect objects require quite a bit more explanation. Je t'ai dit as used in this video is indeed oversimplified.
Vous pouvez enseigner le français. Vous pouvez l'enseigner. Vous pouvez enseigner le français aux gens. Vous pouvez le leur enseigner. Vous avez enseigné le français. Vous l'avez enseigné. Vous avez enseigné le français aux gens. Vous le leur avez enseigné. Correct me if I'm wrong.
6:22 - Vois IS also the tu form of Voir, but in this sentence, it is used as the "je" form (The audio "tu" should be "je").

Thank you so very much for putting this together! It helped me tremendously with the confusion of pronouns!

Je suis d'accord! Immersion works well, but it has limits. Knowing a few grammatical rules helps establish some structure for your learning.
This is amazing! Do you have one like this for Indirect Object Pronouns in French? (COI). This would be so so good for my students!
Malheureusement pas encore... Please check back in the future since I make new ones every few months!

@@LingoLearner Thank you once again for all your help, and for taking the time to explain the answers.

A crystal clear and simpler example could be "You said it" - Tu l'as dit!
