You found one of my favorite areas to ride around Miesville down to the Ravine park and Welch down by the Cannon River. About this time of year they are starting to ski at Welch Village.
I ride all over that area during the summers. But only on the road.😥 When the corn grows tall, it really helps with the wind! But so many trucks around there, and so much road construction.
This area between Hastings - Cannon Falls - Northfield is an absolute gravel gold mine. The limestone gravel packs down to a hard surface almost like pavement, and the deep cut valleys of the Driftless area make for great climbs. And of course the rollers. Nothing like flying over the top of a roller at 20mph.
Not a GoPro mount, rather a GoPro mounted on a stick. However, riding one-handed takes some practice on mixed-surface roads. I don't recommend it for everyone.
You people do realize this is nothing new kids have been biking on gravel since there were bikes and gravel. It's so funny when you hear people literally say "hey have you tried that NEW biking on gravel"???
Lighten up, Francis. I started riding road in 1991 / 1992, and gravel in 2006. Some of my Aussie compatriots were riding gravel roads in the early 20th Century, because that's all there was. Well aware of the genre's history, other folks maybe not. Regardless, your point to show what a genius you are, doesn't serve any point at all really.

It's been extra fun seeing all the video's from my home state. We are so lucky in MN to have so much to ride!
Lovely
While watching kept thinking those beautiful gravel roads you rode turn into ice rinks along about Jan.
This is quite the interesting parallel. I have wondered how those roads are in the dead of winter.
@@GravelCyclist it's the way they become in Michigan.😑

As you know, I just scratched the surface of available roads during this ride.
Your better at tapping out a good pace then that dancing! Pretty epic gravel and make sure to get some cheese curds while your there.
Hahaha, the dancing, not so much. I finally consumed cheese curds during this trip, they were pretty good.
What GoPro mount/handle are you using?
