    Thank you! So glad there's finally some high quality POVs of my home park. Kind of wish you would've waited a year though since WW and ST both got a lot of new track this year. Everything between the first and second turnaround on WW has been retracked and more importantly, reprofiled. Instead of 2 twisted bunny hills it's more of a twisted double up/double down now. It gives actual ejector in the front row and good floater through the rest of the train. The last lap is still a bit rough. Hoping that section gets reprofiled next year!

    I went to MA (my home park) for their Season Passholder Preview event on Sunday! I saw that they added some more Titan Track work to Wildcat this year, most notably on what used to be the worst part of the ride. (Right after the first turnaround)
    The more I think about it, giving the rest of WW a full-on Titan Track treatment would be a more wise decision. (Since the park may not have enough money to have RMC overhaul the coaster yet)

      Are you sure that's Titan track?
      You can really only see it on ride...but I'm pretty sure it's wood.

      Shivering Timbers got new track on the first valley and pullout. Basically half of the first camelback.
      No more pothole there...
      I had the best ride I've ever had on it over Memorial Weekend.
      Oh...and I ride it a lot...86 times last year.
      So i think that means its running pretty good!

      With new Titan Track on one coaster and fresh paint on another, that's a lot more off season love than the park usually gets. Hopefully they can continue to upgrade and invest in the park.

      Maybe they'll titan track the whole thing eventually. It would make it more of a "must ride" for enthusiasts and help out the park's reputation.

      @@CoasterHabitat WW wouldn't be the worst guinea pig for GCI to try adding Titan Track inversions. MA will have to close Corkscrew eventually, so adding a couple of barrel rolls to WW would be worthwhile. (If MA does get another coaster with inversions, it'd be a relo - maybe WoF's Boomerang). It's just a question of whether Cedar Fair is willing to pay for Infinity Flyer trains, but they might do it to enable a full conversion of Boss. (I-Box might not be cost-effective for it)

    When I rode it this past summer I thought that the turn arounds definitely needed the titan track. I guess we'll see what they do in the off season.

    • @CoasterHabitat
      @CoasterHabitat  2 года назад +1

      I think the curving airtime hills in the middle of the layout were the most rough so I'd to see them titan tracked first since the train has much more velocity there than the turnarounds. What would be interesting is when retracked they change the profile of the airtime hills or turnarounds to make them more exciting like RMC. They will most likely leave it like the original though.

  • @skidawg79
    @skidawg79 2 года назад +2

    it's kind of opposite, and turns a little in the middle, but its a very similar layout to the Phoenix at Kneobles.

      Wolverine Wildcat was built because the owners of Michigan's Adventure loved Phoenix... they hired Dinn because he's the one that relocated Phoenix. Unfortunately, he was better at relocating woodies than he was at building them from scratch.

    Titan tracking this ride was long overdue. Though personally, I think it would be even better if it were RMCed.

    • @CoasterHabitat
      @CoasterHabitat  Год назад +3

      It would make for a great RMC opportunity since many wouldn't want to change Shivering Timbers classic layout. While I'm glad the park is investing in its coasters, Titan Track would be a better option for Shivering Timbers and Wildcat would make a great small scale RMC. Unfortunately there's not much hope for new stuff at Michigan's Adventure.

      Titan Track should be saved for decent wooden coasters with a few troublesome spots. Using it for rides like Wolverine Wildcat and Predator is akin to polishing a turd.
      Wooden coasters aren’t going anywhere, by the way. The only thing RMC is “destroying” are piles of garbage that would have been destined for a scrapyard anyway.

    • @ellexking9136
      @ellexking9136 2 года назад

      @@eccentricgamer4111 Well apparently Cedar Fair feel that with more installment of the Titan Track, and that probably will happen, they feel that The Wolverine Wildcat is worth saving. How you feel about it doesn't make you in titled, and it's not your decision. This is the problem with Coaster Enthusiasts. And BTW, once Ruin My Coaster turns a Traditional Wooden Rollercoaster into a Hybrid, it's classified as a Steel Rollercoaster. You'd know this if you did your homework 🤣

      I’m well aware that RMC’s conversions are steel coasters. Thing is, I only care if a coaster is good or not-whether it’s made of wood, steel, or a mixture of both is irrelevant to me.
      If making a good ride means having RMC come in to transform a garbage wooden coaster into something vastly superior, then so be it; I’d rather there be a few good wooden coasters in the world than a bunch of crappy ones giving the genre a bad reputation. Quality over quantity.
