Then I would resign Kelsey Mitchell, trade Smith for Howard, and offer them Wheeler while I am at it, trade Samuelson for draft picks, and go shopping. With the 8th take Sitron if she falls that far. Otherwise, take the best big you can get, preferably one with good, trainable defensive skills and a midrange and post up game that can complement Boston and Salaun inside. Then with a 2nd you draft the best hybrid point/shooting guard available and develop her. That gives me 4 guards (5 if you count minutes Lexie can give you there) as well as a solid rotation at the 3. Between Salaun, Lexie, and Saxton and Dantas, you are well covered there. The four is covered by Howard, Boston, and Dantas, with that same trio covering the 5 as well. You will have a great rotation and depth, especially if your look at Gabby pays dividends giving you another big that can give you depth minutes at the 4, or even the 3 or 5 in a pinch. The center would be where I would feel least comfortable with her for now, but who knows what the future holds. If she sticks, she can help so many ways.

It was, it turns out, the lack of consistent playing time and not a lack of ability that led to her struggles. The same is true of Martin. Her averages for the few games she saw more than garbage minutes were decent numbers. If you give players a chance to shine at this level, they will either stink it up (think Reese's Cup) or shine.
