WHHHAATTT?!?!? There's wet strength tissue available? I've never heard about it before! Now I'm going to have to go find some! I'm always looking for a way to add more translucent layers to my projects while not compromising on strength. Thanks for the suggestion and I hope that you get great results with the technique!
Oh my GOODNESS! NADINE!! Very nice to meet you!! I'm messing around this afternoon not doing the chores I should be doing, but, yeah, whatever, they'll be there when I'm done here, right? 🤣🤣 I asked Google if I can use regular tissue paper on a gel plate and it sent me to you! Girl, you are SO talented! Not only did you answer my initial question, you showed me some gorgeous prints and how to do them myself. I'd been watching gel plate videos for years 🤦 and one day a couple weeks ago while I was watching Froyle it just clicked, and I've been printing every day since. Thank you for sharing this wonderful info! Greetings from the southern California desert! Your newest subbie, MK 🤗🌵🤗
It's so nice to meet you and thanks for your kind and encouraging comment! I love those days where I put aside chores for creativity- I'm so glad that you took some time for you! I'm so glad that you found the video helpful and that you were able to apply what I shared. That's so exciting for me to know that it helped you! Gel plate printing isn't always the easiest printing technique and each surface is different. I'm so glad that you had your "ah ha" moment and that you're printing a lot. Those are the best moments in our creative journey! Thanks for subscribing and for your kind comment! I'd love to be in your Southern California desert over snowy Calgary right now!
Thank you so much! I appreciate the feedback about pace, it's always a bit of a guess if I'm moving too quickly or overstating the obvious! Thanks for commenting and for subscribing!
There's lots of good brands and places that you can get them. Some of my favorite brands are Stencil Girl, The Crafter's Workshop (TCW), Tim Holtz and Studio Light (I especially like their grunge stencils). I tend to pick them up from all over the place. Art stores, craft stores, and scrapbooking stores. If you'd like to support my channel, here's affiliate links for a few places that I can recommend online: Scrapbook.com : shrsl.com/477bh Joggles.com (they have a huge selection of brands): shrsl.com/477bl Ranger Ink: shrsl.com/477bm
I enjoyed this video. I would like to know where you bought your stencils. I don't think you have provided a link. Thanks in advance and more power to you!
Thanks for watching and I'm glad that you enjoyed the video! I tend to get my stencils from all over the place, but these TCW stencils are available at scrapbook.com. Here's my affiliate link: shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=33086&u=3241004&m=7429&urllink=&afftrack= The TCW stencils that I used were Botanical Dream and Wild Rose TCW779. I also used the Wild Whisper Designs Circlet Stencil. I don't have an affiliate for them, but you can find them at www.wildwhisperdesigns.com/. Most of my stencils I get from art stores, craft and scrapbooking stores and places online! I hope that gives you some ideas on where to look!
It's a really great stencil., I used it in a lot of different projects. It's from The Crafter's Workshop (TCW) and is called Botanical Dream. Here is the link to it on Amazon. amzn.to/3FW9Hu4

Thank you for your tips and tricks on tissue paper! I have all kinds of the same and I'm heading out to my studio to give it a go❤🙏
I love that stencil but cannot find it on Amazon. (The first stencil that you used) Can you help with the name, please?
