I've not used the Bosch pole hedge trimmer, but looking at the specs, you are correct it is lighter. The Bosch is shorter by a foot and has a telescopic extension (i.e. you carry the whole weight at all times) rather than adding an extension pole when needed. It would be interesting to compare the performance of both side by side.
@MichaelCampbell01 Thanks for commenting Michael. I don't think Ryobi make a hedge trimmer with a 75cm cutting blade, the longest l could find on their website has a 65cm blade (RY36HTX65A). The amazon link does take you to the product used in the video (apparently, I last purchased this item in Nov 2019).

Thanks a lot for such a helpful video. This is exactly what we need for our overgrown garden and I'm ordering one tomorrow!
@richardmeftah2569 Thanks Riichard. I've had mine for about 3 years now and have been very happy with it.
Thanks big ted, shows how easy it can be with the right tools.
Thanks for the great feedback 🙂
Thank you__just bought one of these…looks easy for a lady to use.😀
I've just used mine to trim the front hedge. Had it nearly 3 years now and have been very happy with it.
I comapred this to a Bosch equivalent and the one drawback was the Ryobi was considerably heavier

The unit you linked to on Amazon's cutting blade is 45cm/18", not 75cm/30".
