I find myself watching you tube videos of people playing golf, as we are in lockdown. always entertaining watching you two play, even just for the banter!!
I might be in the minority but I've always preferred putting out to gimmies, it feels like I haven't completed the hole if I don't put it in the hole. Understand it's for convenience and you guys are playing matchplay but I think that practicing holing 3-5 ft putts under pressure is SO important for stroke play tournaments. Anyway really enjoying these vlogs and the swings are looking good. Keep it up Pete!
you all probably dont care at all but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost the login password. I would love any assistance you can offer me
@Ezra Layton thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
The trees at Pinhal and The Old Course are forever in my memory. Had a couple stay up there . My mate Sandy actually climbed up one and played a shot. Great video 👍
I played in the Algarve twice in the past and hearing Rick's shot on the 3rd hole crack off a tree did bring back some memories. Great vlog as usual though I am jealous of the sunshine you are experiencing; Scotland in March = LOL Cheers
You’re not supposed to use divot mix in the rough because it’s the type of grass for the fairways and when it grows to full length it’s different grass and thickness.
1:47am Perth Australia, wife and daughter well and truly asleep. I'm getting a golf fix. USLPGA major on tv, golf vlogs on youtube, USPGA starts at 4am. I don't think I'll make it 😣
Filming stroke play when vlogging takes about an hour longer over 18-holes, a matchplay vlog will take 5 hours to film using a buggy. Take that time scale and put it on a busy course. It would be different if we were out first thing in the morning
Next time you guys are Algarve bound, please come and have a round at Espiche, close to Lagos in the west. Beautifully presented course and tighter than a really tight thing, great test of golf. (Bring plenty of balls)
I’ve played this course a few times. So many balls hitting trees it sounds like Woody Woodpecker’s high school reunion. You can walk off the course with tinnitus! On the first my par putt dropped, hit the edge of the plastic cup (about an inch below the turf) and popped back out. Bogey. Gutted!
I notice that Pete isn't reading the greens near the cup when using aim point. That is where the slope is going to effect the ball more. Try using a read from the middle and the end of the putt. Might stop those lip outs.
Played Pinhal on the last day of a lads golf trip. We do a combined stableford and I was about 8 points ahead after the first two rounds at Laguna and Vilamoura old. I ended up,winning by a point!! I was hanging out my arse and canrt remember any of the holes, which is a shame as it looks nice😊
My take from this video...I need to stop worrying about my golf. Even Rick an Pete are struggling to hit fairways and greens in regulation. Why should I "kill" my self for not doing it when much better players can't? Love this so anyone can see how everyone can struggle like crazy. Thanks guysª!!!!
Christian Dean I just back from there my self , amazing courses , I played vale de lobo and the old course too while I was there , can't wait to go back
@Shot Shy Sheriff. They've been doing it for a few years now. I didn't realize Paramount Pictures was supposed to be shooting course vlogs. lol either buy a bigger trash can to puke in to watch their vlogs or go elsewhere.
Looks like a tough course with all those trees. Not much of a 2nd cut there. Yea think we need to see a professional round gents, shoot till your in the cup and see what your score is. We need to see where your guys games are standing. Im sure its tough doing it in spain, but if your planning another round, lets see some quest vlogs after a round
The obvious conclusion to all the complaints you are getting about the "unwarranted" gimmes is for you to stand on a tee-box on a long par five, slight pause, look at each other and, "Good, good?" "Good, good!"
Love your guy's banter back and forth. You can tell that you guys are truly good friends! What a gorgeous course!
I find myself watching you tube videos of people playing golf, as we are in lockdown. always entertaining watching you two play, even just for the banter!!
Very generous there at the end Rick.

cheers I agree it is important but for match play vlogs on a full course they are also essential
Peter Finch Golf match play in general they are essential , especially in a match play tournament where game speed varies
you all probably dont care at all but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..?

@Zane Roy instablaster ;)
@Ezra Layton thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now.

That swing change for Pete, he will start getting it going once he finds that center again. Good vid guys.
cheers bud that's the plan
love the vids as always. glad you cut out the long aim point reads. makes much smoother viewing
It is nice that you guys show us many opportunities to view trouble shots.
I am playing this course in may (covid permitted) looks a belter! Far too good for me 🤦♂️
I had a mate that used to take 3 foot putts and miss them like Rick. Drove me crazy!!
I’ve played this course twice and loved it each time
The trees at Pinhal and The Old Course are forever in my memory. Had a couple stay up there . My mate Sandy actually climbed up one and played a shot. Great video 👍
You are the most cheery fellow Pete, wish you could teach that!
anyone can learn it for sure :)
This seems like my kind of course. Trees everywhere.
loving these frequent uploads
more to come
I played in the Algarve twice in the past and hearing Rick's shot on the 3rd hole crack off a tree did bring back some memories.
Great vlog as usual though I am jealous of the sunshine you are experiencing; Scotland in March = LOL
Cheers
there are plenty of trees in Scotland though bud, look on the bright side :)
I do indeed …
…and thanks to your tips I avoid the trees so much more these days!
Those trees are gorgeous.

I would love to see Rick and Pete do a review of these videos
Played Pinhal 2 weeks ago, brutal! Harder than Millennium and Laguna!
Played pinhal in feb , lovely course and I'm now a loyal subscriber!
cheers Liam

stay strong
Fav from the Portugal series so far mate 👍🏻
cheers Niall
Hi Rick and Pete, why do you not play more stroke play? Get you in the right mindset for competitive events!
Filming stroke play when vlogging takes about an hour longer over 18-holes, a matchplay vlog will take 5 hours to film using a buggy.
Take that time scale and put it on a busy course. It would be different if we were out first thing in the morning
What Pete’s really trying to say is there not good enough to play strokeplay! 😂😂😂
3 years late to the party but wow, this course looks difficult...
same here
yellow tee??
Some of these gimmes on this tour have been ridiculous lads
well that's matchplay :)
They'll then tell their mates they shot -3
Shaunyboy10 seeing how it’s on youtube for all to see......
was there last week for a week wish i d of stayed there love the course
Played it while the Portuguese masters was on. And you're right. Trees everywhere
Sooooo mannnnny treeeeeees
@@peterfinchgolf imagine having a 50 yard fade, every other shot was out the trees. #treewood
12:30
That bunker shot was beautiful.
Great guys, great attitude on the course! I would love playing with Rick and Pete if my game was on par.
Next time you guys are Algarve bound, please come and have a round at Espiche, close to Lagos in the west. Beautifully presented course and tighter than a really tight thing, great test of golf. (Bring plenty of balls)
I'll add it to the list :)
Holy hell Peter, I take panoramic photos constantly because they're fun too hahaha
Love this place, great course. Nice clubhouse as well.

Blimey, you two are very generous with the gimmes! ☺️
nice people
Peter Finch Golf If you saw me putt you wouldn't give me any at half those lengths 😂🏌️
The "Me and My Golf" guys love your outfit for sure!!
Smurfy Finch! "If you do happen to hit it into those trees, it may not come out" haha
7 iron might have been a more sensible play but this is youtube golf!! :)
truth
You guys have more pleasant accents than that guy who says Bruh all the time! 😂
You can tell how good your friendship is with the size of some of those gimmies! There’s some serious meat left on those bones!
Im here next weekend
Lewis Parry lucky
enjoy
Great Vlog guys. Tis my favorite golf course in the Algarve :)
widemouth Geno.booth my favourite is Victoria in algarve
Rick I can't believe u tried hitting a 2 iron over that tree on the par 5, school boy error hahahahaha
Played Pinhal on the last day of a lads golf trip. We do a combined stableford and I was about 8 points ahead after the first two rounds at Laguna and Vilamoura old. I ended up,winning by a point!! I was hanging out my arse and canrt remember any of the holes, which is a shame as it looks nice😊
haha it's a nice place for sure
Absolutely ~looove~ the new profile pic Pete!!

Peter looks like a peacock in that color blue... lol... as usual another great video.
Very GENEROUS on the gimmes.
A little too generous some might say
Haha You guys would of made them anyway.... Right.. haha
I want to see Rick and Pete vs brodie and Garrett in a scramble... GM_golf
Sick pitch
My take from this video...I need to stop worrying about my golf. Even Rick an Pete are struggling to hit fairways and greens in regulation. Why should I "kill" my self for not doing it when much better players can't? Love this so anyone can see how everyone can struggle like crazy. Thanks guysª!!!!
I played this course
Going of that blue number, Pete would have deffo been a Safari suit wearer if he'd been around in the 70's :o)
truth
Would love to play with you guys if you ever come to Orlando
Peter looked like a smurf. Love the vids guys keep them coming.
will do :)
Beautiful golf course and perfect weather.......I'd do away with the gimmies though.
Pete I know this video is old but I'm very curious as to which putter you're using here?
i was there at the start of that month and there again end of feb this year again
Awesome place!
cant wait to go back for a week this time ....
Pete,nice smurph suit😂😂

Good looking course. One I would carry my 15th club with. 15th club? chainsaw :) Trees do not like me at all!
haha
Im still wondering at what handicap you guys are playing?
You get the blue outfit from the guys an Meandmygolf?
Rick I want to put that on a tee shirt. “ It’s friendly golf until it means something”.
Pete as Golfer Smurf 😂
PETER FINCH..PETER FINCH.....wot a chip at a 6.05mins, quality video...
cheers bud
Hey Pete what kind of putter are you using?
You guys give me faith in my useless random game!!!
Removing LI's from the green with the putter is allowed, is it not?
24:00 has to be one of the funniest moments lol
why are you playing from the yellow and not the white tees?
Do you use a specific app/program for the shot tracer?
Thanks,
There from the 10th April 👍🏻👍🏻
enjoy :)
Christian Dean I just back from there my self , amazing courses , I played vale de lobo and the old course too while I was there , can't wait to go back
😮 I live on hole 3 green!!!
11 feet? Yeah I'll give you that mate...
ok awesome I'll take it
Say what you want about the outfit.. but Pete's shoe game has ALWAYS been 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@Shot Shy Sheriff. They've been doing it for a few years now. I didn't realize Paramount Pictures was supposed to be shooting course vlogs. lol either buy a bigger trash can to puke in to watch their vlogs or go elsewhere.

Rick and Pete next time your in Melbourne hit me up and wil have a game.
I thought it's not allowed to clean the ball on the fairway ...?
They should have named this course The Arborist.
Are you guys sure Pete isn't actually from Meandmygolf? Looking pretty similar, haha.
The obvious conclusion to all the complaints you are getting about the "unwarranted" gimmes is for you to stand on a tee-box on a long par five, slight pause, look at each other and, "Good, good?" "Good, good!"
PETER FINCH!
Guys, can I point out the obvious. If Rick is 1 up, it is logical that Pete will be 1 down. You don't have to show both.😜
Looks like you’re apart of me and my golf.
Haha, not quite that chiselled!
miami blue, like north beach
What kind of camera do you guys use to film with ?
GH4
Hi
What are the towels you are using?

Swedish blue? Makes sense I guess... We call it baby blue across the border...
Man some of them fairways are wide
Is this the same course where the fox stole the head cover!?!? 🦊 🏌

good contents lads. p.s I wish my course was that open I don't know what your moaning about. haha
you must play in a corridor :)
only when practicing the putting stroke. lol.
Let me hit this 2 iron over this massively tall tree... :)
Slightly wider than my FORMER home course.
