My ideal self-care day looks like eating healthy meals, getting my assignments done, and going to the gym. I used to think self-care meant buying myself a new expensive makeup item or bath bomb (although I still treat myself to bath bombs, don't get me wrong) or letting myself sleep through a class or eating an entire pint of ice cream. Then I realized I'm not doing myself any favors by constantly being broke, depressed, stressed about money, stressed about missing classes, and feeling sluggish and tired from eating unhealthy foods and not exercising. My whole idea of self-care changed when I started caring enough about myself to make myself get up and do what I need to do.
There was an article that said true self-care is creating a life for yourself that you don't feel like you need a vacation/escape from. You have the right idea! Every day should be self care so you never are in a position where you're so stressed that you're making yourself sick.
My self care trick is having a bath time routine that I can immediately fall into without having to think about it when I'm having a rough day. I make my own bath bombs (soooo much cheaper and it's fun to customize them), light a bunch of candles, put on a face mask, play my favorite chill music, and grab a book. It feels luxurious, calms me down, and puts me back into a good headspace for the next day. Just taking the hour out of my day to fall into my own little self-care routine has really improved my mental health over the years.

5 days of surviving outdoors. You can do a survival course with an instructor. Building a shelter, hiking trying not to get lost, making a fire, techniques purifying water & foraging for food (wildfoods that you can eat).
I’m thirteen and stress out about a lot. I try everyday to have a little self care time and change my mindset from negative to positive. It’s a whole process. Being a teen it’s a little easier for me then most adults. Though no matter what age you are life can be hard. If you’re struggling right now things will get better. I now really wanna try some of these especially the journal ❤️

-Here’s My List Of Self Care Ideas- - Make some tea - Take a Bath - Do some face masks or nail related stuff - Try creating heathly habits(it sounds dumb, but it really makes me feel better about my habits) - Take up a new hobby - Light some candles - Paint - Learn a song on the piano(or any other instrument) - Read a book in the dark with only a small light to help you read - Start a Journal - Do something artsy - Do a photo shoot - Go on a bike ride with friends - Go on an adventure - Make some kind of hideout, like a cool place to hangout with friends - Make a fun meal you’ve always wanted to try - Clean your room - Do what makes you happy - Create a social media account about something’s your passionate about(bullet journaling, cooking, art, makeup, etc.) - Do something you’ve never done before I hope these help you or inspire some other habits, best of luck😘♥️
I definitely don’t practice self care often enough ! But I also believe there is no right way to do self care , you have to play around and see what works for you , I have a few things that I do depending on what my body and/or my brain needs Going for a walk -this will vary where as this also depends on moods/needs so sometimes the ocean ,sometimes just a park or sometimes a forest 🌳 (I am usually drawn to water though 😂) Reading Writing -poetry mostly sometimes stories Meditation Yoga Phoning a friend Drawing Choreographing a dance routine Sitting with my animals Having a lie in Sometimes it’s a simple as taking five minutes to reconnect with myself focus on my breathing work out what’s stressing me and what I can do to change it and if i can’t change it then attempting to let it go
This was neat, but when you said it was such a big industry I was sort of confused. This video really helped clear up that confusion. When I think of self-care I think of it in social work terms (taking care of yourself so you can keep helping others). It's more about living a healthy and balanced life than paying for experiences. I know I find it difficult because it's actually easier to not take care of myself and keep pushing myself. That's what I grew up watching others do, and changing those habits is really hard for me. But at the core of it you're right - it's about self love and putting yourself first ❤
I think the key to self care is not just thinking of it as indulgent treatments that feel good short-term but also self accountability that will set you up to have less stress/anxiety in the future. So an ideal self care day for me would be: - Get a full 8 hours of sleep. - Wake up at a good time in the morning (8am) - Stretch and put on a nice outfit I feel great in - Spend 1 whole hour making breakfast and actually eating it with someone - Spend a couple hours organizing email, paying bills, updating my calendar and budget, making lists, writing a card to someone - Get groceries and make food - Make a good dinner - Do a thorough cleaning of the kitchen and some light cleaning of the house - Call my family - Wash my face I love days Iike these because I feel so productive and that I achieved many priorities and needs while also not rushing and expecting myself to do so much more. My major self care has been not over-scheduling myself so that I can have an entire Saturday to just do all this and set myself up for a good week.

I think self care is important. I think we all must remember that these are uncomfortable times as well and self can not substitute the relief that comes with advocating for ourselves and being there for our neighbors so that our future is secure.
5 Days of Bralessness Lots of women are switching over to this life for all types of reasons. It can (allegedly)alleviate back pain, improve lymphatic flow, strengthen your breast ligaments, and improve temperature regulation. Some say it can prevent breast cancer. You can start with outfits that hide the bralessness, try exercising without a bra, talk about going braless at work, and probably some other stuff. For some women it starts uncomfortable and then gets comfortable. These are all things that could be brought up. Love this series, and love your work, Lucie!

I just wanted to wish you good luck on getting out coffee from your diet. I had to cut it out over a year due to acid reflux and just remember to drink plenty of water the week you cut it out of your diet. It helps with headaches from no caffeine. I enjoy your videos and keep up with these amazing videos.

This video finally gave me the justification to use my uni's hot tub that I've been trying to go to but never make time for and all this stress could benefit from that
I just gave up caffeine. I switched to decaf. Since there was a shooting at my office I’ve suffered from ptsd and the caffeine hasn’t helped my adrenals glans. So far it’s been a few weeks that I’ve given it up, but I do think it’s already helping. I do miss the boost, but I think my body is happier

I practice self care sometimes for my mental health. I’ll take a day off of work because despite how important that is, me losing my mind is pretty important to.
What I do for self-care usually depends on my mood of socializing. Mostly it's sleeping in at a weekend day taking a relaxing bath turning off my phone completely listening to some music maybe go out with a friend just to forget about school and work stress for a while and take time to be happy and enjoy the little moments in life. :)
My ideal self-care day would consist of turning off pretty much all electronics, clean eating, yoga, a hot bath with a bath bomb, singing, writing a song, gardening, and spending time with my animals. Love this video btw.
I wouldn't know. I haven't had a self care day before. Attempted it but felt too guilty not getting my giant to do lists done so left it. I have only once had a body massage and wish i could have another soon.
I feel like this self care was highly focused on a spiritual side, which is logic if that what self care means for you. but self care can also mean getting rid of stuff or people that have a negative impact on you, treating yourself with simple things(ie a movie night, reading a book etc)

Suggestion: Dont quit coffee cold turkey, it will cause symptoms of withdrawal. Start by reducing the daily amount.
