I have a question if you don't mind about the hip replacement. How long was the time period from surgery to when you were back on the beach, and does it feel better hunting the beach now? I am asking because my starboard hip is bone on bone and the port is not much better. Lots of wear and tear over the years. Led an active life. After an active day of metal detecting the beach, I usually need a day or two to recover before heading out again. Thank you for sharing your beach hunt. Yes the replaced hip is much better and it took about 4 weeks to ease into metal detecting. I will also need the other hip replaced in the future. But overall it is good and still healing.
