There is so much about this. The amount of plot hole/controversies between and connected to each trilogy is mind blowing. Sidious was powerful enough to create Anakin(prove me wrong) and keep EVERY Jedi master from sensing what he was doing? He was able to input/program the clone army for Order 66, without anyone from "getting a bad feeling about this?" HOW? Sidious didn't sense Vader had 1 let alone 2 Force user offspring? Sidious waited until ROTJ to "feel" Anakin's children? Then Rey is most powerful Jedi ever, except she's not. For years she lived on Jakku. Most of the time by herself. She never had 1 vision or feeling, Force related, to who she was UNTIL she held Luke's "laser sword"? It just goes on and on. Suspension of disbelief is one thing. Suspension of all logic?
OMG... this is far... far... better than any of the sequels. Incorporate some of the characters except for Poe and Snoke... this would be beyond epic. As it stands now this is more than great.
I'm guessing that since there's no mention of a massive disturbance in the force, Alderaan didn't get blown up by the Death Star. As for ObiWan Kenobi, i'm assuming that he can sense Leia a bit since he rescued her over several years ago. When she lit up when her force powers awakens, he'll also sense that she wasn't corrupted by the dark side even as her power grows.
But that sphere prob droid, the DNA would be noticed. Tarkin & Vader find out at the same time. Then Vader asks Tarkin in front of Leia like it happens “Please do me the honor of blowing up that planet that kidnapped the daughter of Anakin Skywalker” that loss will ensure he path down the dark. Neither knows about Luke.
The fact that Vader couldn't sense Leia was his daughter in any of the movies is kind of laughable but then it wasn't established until ROTJ. He only knew of her origin after sensing it from Luke.
I like it. I've always thought that Vader was sincere when he said to Luke "we can end this destructive conflict and restore order to the Galaxy". The prequels only reinforce this, as he had seen the horrors of war and acted to eliminate two of the three opposing factions in order to create an enforced peace and always intended to eliminate the third (Palpatine) and finally ensure civil war could never happen again. He wasn't a politician, he didn't much care about policy or the particulars of how things were run, he simply wanted the destruction and killing to stop. He believed that enforcing compliance with authority through power was the way to accomplish this, hence his use of the term "order" instead of "peace", but the goal was the same. And if other methods proved effective, I believe he could accept them --basically he'd respond to calls for reform from Leia with "Very well, we shall try it your way, but I warn you to make certain it works. If your methods fail, I will finish the task with mine." This would result in a symbiotic relationship of iron hand in velvet glove, a message to the galaxy of "we can play nice and you'll find we can be benevolent and gracious, but there are lines we will not allow to be crossed and we have the power and the will to unleash a living nightmare beyond imagining on those who make it necessary." Vader would become the enforcer of a just and highly principled set of policies and laws and become a symbol of righteous fury that protects the innocent by punishing and eliminating the guilty. Those not kept in line by fear could, as galactic slang would put it, "kriff around and find out". Adding Luke to the equation would add another dimension to this. He didn't much care about policy or governance either, he wanted a life of heroic excitement and to do good in the galaxy. He could lead a middle path, a force that acts as protectors and peacekeepers and public servants, and would be the first responders that attempt to bring justice with minimum force necessary like a good police force should. Vader's forces would then be like the SWAT team, the maximum force deployed when the situation is beyond resolving by less forceful means and it's escalated to using war tactics to end the threat with relentless, overwhelming power.
@@darth_colonI don't know if it was intentional, but I loved that you inverted the Mortis prophecy, in your story the father was the dark side, the son the light side and the daughter the balance.

No way does Vader let Leia duel in her princess white skirt or pants suit

@@darth_colon It is obvious. Force users can sense each other in the first movie - like Obi Wan and Vader do. Given that Leia is strong with the force later Vader must have at least felt that she has the force...

I love how you didn't have Vader torture Leia as some fics with this concept do. I never got the logic of some people. They would insist Vader would torture his kids BUT he would have turned for Padmé. If Vader would torture them, would he have tortured Padmé? No. He wouldn't have. Vader obsessed over Padmé and wanted to bring her back for years in both continuities. Their children are the last remnants of Padmé. If he meets his children, does anyone really believe Vader would torture that remnant? At the risk of them dropping dead like Padmé and/or hating him when he would want their loyalty and for them to see him as their father? I personally don't. He would be possessive but not abusive imo. It was implied multiple times in sources that Vader cut off Luke's hand by accident, aiming for the lightsaber and only catching his hand. Do remember, in the original timeline, Vader was backed into a corner by Palpatine. But Vader now would have more time to think about what to do with this revelation. The most highlighting part of that scene where Vader responding that Luke is just a boy and that Obi-Wan can no longer help him. When you first hear it, it sounds like the stereotypical villain arrogantly underestimating the hero. But with the lore and context of who Vader was, he was trying to manipulate Palpatine to avert pain from Luke. I feel like with either child and Vader, it would be like Revan and Bastila. Vader first tries to see them as a pawns and them seeing him as a monster, but slowly through time, they would begin to care about each other.
When Obi-Wan and Luke arrive, if Vader is turning good, then maybe the 4 of them would all face the emperor. Actually, they would show up to a death star without Vader or Leia. Obi-Wan would still be alive, as they escape. Obi-Wan would continue training Luke. Han would be frustrated for not getting his money. Through the force, Obi-Wan and Luke find Darth Vader and Leia.
After watching bucket loads of what ifs, it's nice to have a different perspective. I'd like to see how Ben and Luke (and possibly Yoda) deals with with new timeline. Does Ben end up joining Yoda to spend their last years together? Or does Ben watch from a distance over the 3? I'd like to see the other side of the coin, if you will. :)
Even if Tarkin doesn't blow up Alderaan after Vader leaves with Leia, how did Luke and the Millennium Falcon escape the Death Star if Vader wasn't there to persuade Tarkin to let the ship escape to lead them to the Rebels? The point of divergence where Vader realizes Leia is his daughter needs to happen earlier, before he takes her to the Death Star and the Death Star goes to Alderaan if the Millennium Falcon is to not be captured.
What an absolutely BEAUTIFUL and touching story. Also totally BELIEVABLE because there's a bond that cannot be broken in a very strong line of family. I absolutely❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ it!!!!!!!!!
What if Vader tried to kill Leia and had to escape with Tarkin? Tarkin would order Vader not to do it, but Vader would try to kill him for getting in the way. We never get Tarkin love
Since Obi Wan Kenobi didn't take Luke on his "damn fool idealistic crusade", and they never met Han Solo & Chewbacca, wouldn't Obi Wan still be alive to teach Luke, and, potentially, co-teach Leia as well? And what of Yoda? Wouldn't he climb out of the woodwork?
Are we supposed to believe that, during Leia's months-long training with Vader, the Emperor has furloughed him? That the Emperor isn't constantly sending him on missions to murder enemies, etc.? And in between those missions, Vader is gently instructing Leia?
Force sensitive individuals are not uncommon. Vader can feel the force in them, but the reason he learns about Luke is the name Skywalker. Leia is not using that name.
@@darth_colon Vader might be able to talk Tarkin out of destroying Alderaan but Tarkin is going to blow up SOMETHING and Palpatine was always itching to blow up the Mon Calamari homeworld
If Vader can feel Padme in Leia, he can also feel Leia's power in the Force. The destruction of Alderaan would be seen by Vader as her 1st step towards the Dark Side. Leia had seen too much of the war up to that point, she would possibly be as vulnerable to the Dark Side as Barriss Offer. It would be easier for her to walk the road of good intentions that lead to hell, as the Dark Side feels so much powerful because it isn't limited by morals and the will of the Force. She would easily be fueled by her hatred to the Empire, the Emperor, Vader, and everything they represent. As the Emperor had just dissolved the Senate, a compromise could be reached, giving back the Senate power. If that plan succeeds Darth Dochter (Dark-side Leia, and this is a joke on Vader being Dutch for Father) would be the perfect pawn on the Sith within the Republican institutions. DV being crowned Emperor Anakin would be a second gut-punch to the old guard of the Rebellion, who had held the memory of one of their best Jedi Generals as a touchstone. When Darth Vader dies, the office of Supreme Chancellor would be reinstalled with Leia Organa, the former leader of the Rebellion, being the 1st one to hold this title since Sheev Palpatine.
Leia was untrained in the ways of The Force. Luke wasn't. Vader knew how to send and receive Force vibes. Luke was learning how to send and receive them. Leia had no idea they even existed. My uncle used to tell me he always wondered the same thing: Darth Vader not recognizing Leia as his daughter
I was also wondering, if darth vader is so force sensitive, why can'the feel something when he was face to face with Leia
May be because he has buried all the good feelings like love when becoming darth vader. So he can't even sense his own blood.
Probably because Leia had not yet awakened her powers in the force.
His ability to sense is reduced after Mustafar. Consider that he only got a whisper of Obi Wan, when he was only 20 feet away.
